In the nick of time, Gray crossed his arms, and ice crystals solidified into a diamond-shaped shield in front of him.
The monster's sharp claws collided with the ice shield, creating a grating friction sound accompanied by splattering ice shards.
"Crack!" Spiderweb-like cracks appeared on the ice shield.
Cold sweat trickled down Gray's forehead; the monster's strength far exceeded imagination.
Just as the ice shield was about to shatter, a golden light tore through the mist.

The monster's left human-like face suddenly turned towards him, purple light surging in its eyes, and a colorless energy wave spread out.
Natsu's flames were extinguished as if by an invisible hand, his attack abruptly halted.
"What?!"
"Mental magic! It's interfering with the magic flow!" Erza's black wings sliced through the sky, twelve magic swords spread out behind her, and silver-white armor materialized from the void, instantly covering her entire body, "Requip: Heaven's Wheel Armor!"

Natsu seized the chance to leap into the sky, Happy transforming into white light and merging into his body.

Each beam that hit the ground exploded into a five-meter-diameter corrosive black mist, instantly making the plaza ground pockmarked.
"Scatter!" Erza commanded, and the Fairy Tail members immediately dispersed.
Gray's ice boots slid, moving nimbly through the rain of beams: "Ice Make—Slide!"
He slapped his hands on the ground, and an ice slide instantly extended to the ghost's feet.
Just as the ghost was about to lift its foot, the slide suddenly exploded into countless ice cones, stabbing towards its cyclops eye.
The ghost let out a deafening shriek, its cyclops eye flared with purple light, and a dark purple barrier instantly formed, the ice cones shattering upon impact.
"Look here, big guy!" Natsu soared into the air using Happy's flight ability, "Fire Dragons Wing Attack!"
Blazing red fire wings sliced towards the barrier like blades. High temperature and dark purple energy collided violently, erupting in a blinding flash.
The moment cracks appeared in the barrier, Erza's figure shot through the gap like lightning.
She had switched to Heavens Wheel Armor, purifying runes flowing across her silver-white armor, her longsword stabbing directly at the ghost's cyclops eye: "Sword of Exorcism!"
The ghost was forced back two steps, a purple-black liquid flowing from the cyclops eye on its chest... On the other side, Levy-chan leisurely walked to a cover by the wall, tilting her head as she watched Lucy, who was nervously focused on the battlefield.
