The residual energy slammed into Gray!
Puff—!!!
Gray was struck hard, spitting out a mouthful of blood, his body flying backward like a broken kite, crashing heavily into a massive stone pillar in the distance!
The stone pillar instantly covered in cracks!
Gray slid to the ground, his chest a bloody mess, covered in black frost, his aura instantly withered to the extreme!
He struggled to get up, but again coughed up a mouthful of blood, his vision blurring.
"Lord Gray!!!" Juvia's heart was twisted, no longer caring about Lord Gray's previous command!
She transformed into a stream of water, instantly rushing to Gray's side, shielding him behind her, water vapor surging wildly around her, forming a massive water shield!
"Get lost! Water woman!" The demonized Lyon roared, his eyes only on Gray!
"Ice Demon: Dark Ice Claw!"
Lyon's figure flickered, instantly appearing before Juvia!
Claws covered in black scales and demonic patterns, entwined with dark purple demonic cold energy, carrying an aura that could tear everything apart, fiercely clawed at the water shield!
Rip—!!!
The water shield was easily torn apart like paper!
Juvia grunted, sent flying backward!
The backlash from the shattered water shield made blood trickle from the corner of her mouth!
Lyon's claws continued their momentum, heading straight for Gray's head!
"No—!" Juvia cried out in despair!
Just at this critical moment!
Gray suddenly raised his head!
In those icy blue eyes, there was no fear, only a desperate determination verging on madness and... a hint of unspeakable sorrow!
He used his last ounce of strength to shake his head slightly in Juvia's direction!
His gaze was as firm as iron!
Juvia's movements suddenly froze!
She understood Gray's eyes—do not interfere!
This is my battle!
My resolve!
Lyon's claws stopped an inch from Gray's forehead!
He looked at Gray's terrifyingly calm eyes, a flicker of doubt and... a barely perceptible ripple in his crimson pupils?
"Say your last words," Lyon's eyes glowed red, his face full of mockery.
Gray didn't respond; he trembled, his blood-stained hand slowly reaching into his embrace, pulling out the ancient Devil Slayer Magic scroll made of beast hide.
He suddenly tore at his already tattered upper garment, completely ripping it apart!
Revealing his muscular but now scarred and black-frosted upper body.
"Cough, cough..." Gray coughed up blood, his voice hoarse, yet clear:
"This scroll... records... Devil Slayer Magic..."
"Magic specifically for countering demons..."
"Powerful... but also dangerous..."
"The preface reads..."
"'He who fights with monsters... should look to it that he himself does not become a monster...'"
"'Excessive use of Devil Slayer Magic carries the risk of turning the user into a demon...'"
Lyon's crimson pupils stared intently at the scroll in Gray's hand.
Gray raised his head, his icy blue eyes meeting Lyon's violent crimson gaze directly, a cold and resolute arc forming at the corner of his mouth.
"But..."
"One must always pay the price..."
"For the mistakes one has made..."
As his words fell!
Gray suddenly pressed the scroll in his hand against his chest!
Buzz—!!!
An indescribable, terrifying aura, as if from ancient primordial times, suddenly erupted from within Gray's body!
Boom—!!!
A sky-piercing icy blue cold energy, like a wolf smoke, shot straight into the clouds!
The violent aura directly blasted the close-by Lyon away.
This cold energy was so pure, so powerful!
But what was even more shocking was!
The purplish-black evil energy that permeated the entire Galuna Island, which had dissipated after the Moon Drip purified the villagers' demonic power, clung to everything like maggots!
As if attracted by some strong force!
Like a hundred rivers returning to the sea, it surged madly towards Gray's body!
Whoosh whoosh whoosh—!!!
The purplish-black evil energy formed a visible giant vortex, like monstrous demon dragons, wildly pouring into Gray's body!
Gray's body trembled violently!
On the surface of his skin, grayish-blue demonic patterns spread wildly like living things!
The whites of his eyes were swallowed by pure black!
Only his pupils retained that icy blue light!
Like two cold stars in a dark abyss!
His hair, starting from the roots, quickly took on a dull Gray hue!
His fingernails became sharp and black!
A violent, cold, destructive demonic power, mixed with his original Ice Magic, erupted within him like a dormant volcano!
Rising steadily!
His aura surged at a terrifying speed!
The magic power fluctuations swept across the entire plaza like a tsunami!
Even subtly suppressing the pressure emanating from the demonized Lyon!
"Wh-what?!" The demonized Lyon's pupils contracted sharply, his eyes filled with unbelievable shock!
He felt the terrifying demonic power rapidly awakening within Gray, a power no less than, even surpassing, his current state!
"Lord Gray!!!" Juvia cried out in alarm, covering her mouth, tears streaming down her face!
She saw Gray's body being corroded by darkness!
Gray slowly raised his head.
At this moment, his upper body was bare, his skin covered with hideous grayish-blue demonic patterns, his eyes black and icy blue, his hair dark Gray, and a violent vortex of icy blue and purplish-black magic power swirled around him!
Like a demon god returned from hell!
He looked at the demonized Lyon, a cold and resolute arc forming at the corner of his mouth, his voice like the cold of the Nine Netherworlds:
"So..."
"I'm no longer human."
Before he finished speaking!
Gray's figure instantly vanished!
The next moment!
He appeared before Lyon!
His right fist, covered in demonic patterns and ice crystal scales, brought a tearing shriek through the air and a violent Ice Demon power, smashing fiercely towards Lyon's face!
"Ice Demon: Arctic Star Shatter!"
Bang—!!!
A deafening roar!
The demonized Lyon had no time to react, struck hard in the face by the punch!
The scales on his face instantly shattered!
Blood mixed with broken teeth sprayed out!
His massive body flew backward like a cannonball!
Crashing heavily into the ice wall in the distance!
The ice wall exploded!
"Roar—!!!" Lyon let out a beast-like howl of pain, struggling to get up, his eyes filled with raging fury!
"Ice Demon: Abyssal Demonic Claws!" He suddenly swung his two claws forward!
Two massive demonic claws, made of pitch-black demonic ice, carried the power to tear space, fiercely grabbing at Gray!
Gray did not dodge or evade!
"Ice Demon: Indestructible Ice Armor!"
Buzz—!
A set of pitch-black ice armor, covered with hideous demonic patterns and flowing with purplish-black evil energy, instantly covered Gray's entire body!
Only his black and icy blue eyes were visible!
Bang! Bang—!!!
The two demonic claws slammed hard into the ice armor!
Emitting a dull thud!
The ice armor vibrated violently, demonic patterns flickering, but it did not shatter!
Gray was only pushed back one step!
