Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Don’t Try That Trick

Dragon-Shaped Raging Fist.

Like a charging steed, its force pierced the heavens!

The punch landed squarely on Lu Chengwen's chest.

Lu Chengwen stood unmoved, calmly gazing at Tie Tuo Wang.

Tie Tuo Wang was utterly shocked!

He slowly raised his head, meeting a face devoid of any expression.

Not just Tie Tuo Wang—his four lackeys, and even Long Aotian, were too stunned to speak.

Everyone here, except Lu Chengwen, was a martial artist. They all knew how formidable that punch was.

It wasn't that Tie Tuo Wang's fist was the pinnacle of power in the ancient martial world.

But against an ordinary person with no martial training, that punch was like using a cannon to swat a mosquito—a guaranteed kill!

Even an average martial artist, or a master like Long Aotian at his peak, would likely suffer internal injuries from taking such a blow head-on.

At the very least, they'd stagger back a few steps, struggling to regulate their breathing to suppress the overwhelming force surging through their body.

Yet Lu Chengwen simply opened his mouth and said, "That's it?"

Then, with a hint of disappointment, he nodded encouragingly. "Not bad, though."

Tie Tuo Wang instinctively took two steps back.

Suddenly, he felt that this young man before him was far too strange!

He clearly had no martial skills, yet… his protective aura was unbelievably strong!

And this was with him standing still, letting himself be hit. What if he fought back?

Wouldn't that mean he could crush Tie Tuo Wang like an ant in seconds!?

Hua Xuening said gravely, "Young Master, Lu Chengwen is a true expert! He's using the Immovable Bright King Technique, and it seems his mastery is even deeper than yours—beyond what we can comprehend! I estimate his Immovable Bright King Technique has reached at least the sixth level!"

Long Aotian turned to Hua Xuening, his face darkening.

"Are you my guard, or Lu Chengwen's propaganda minister?"

"Young Master, did Tie Tuo Wang's punch give you amnesia? I'm your guard!"

Long Aotian felt like he was dying.

Tie Tuo Wang kept mistaking Lu Chengwen for him, opposing him at every turn.

Hua Xuening, this dim-witted woman, kept exposing his weaknesses, making him lose face.

And just moments ago, he had taken Tie Tuo Wang's punch while already injured. Now, the aftereffects were hitting him hard—his chest felt tight, and he could barely catch his breath.

And Lu Chengwen!

This bastard was actually a hidden master!?

After a lifetime of being the predator, was he about to be pecked blind by the prey today?

Hua Xuening said earnestly, "Young Master, Lu Chengwen's skills are unfathomable. I'm afraid you might die here today!"

Long Aotian spun around, glaring at her. "Shut up!"

Tie Tuo Wang stood frozen, still in a daze.

Lu Chengwen looked at him. "Now, do you know who the real Young Master is?"

Tie Tuo Wang stammered in shock, "Impossible! The strongest practitioner of the Immovable Bright King Technique in the world has only reached the seventh level, but your mastery…"

Lu Chengwen raised an eyebrow. "Definitely above the fourth level."

Tie Tuo Wang immediately dropped to one knee. "Young Master, your divine skill is unparalleled! I am in awe!"

Hua Xuening noticed Long Aotian quietly edging backward and quickly said, "Young Master, are you trying to escape? I'll go with you!"

Tie Tuo Wang stood up, pointing domineeringly. "Take them down! Leave Long Aotian to me!"

Lu Chengwen let out a sigh of relief.

He'd won.

Damn it! He wasn't entirely without his own aura of destiny!

If he had three or five hundred of these Immovable Bright King Experience Cards, he could strut through this world untouchable, and even Long Aotian wouldn't be able to do a thing about it.

Unfortunately, he only had one.

But he'd already maximized its effect with his silver tongue. Hopefully, things would continue to go his way.

Long Aotian and Hua Xuening fled, and Tie Tuo Wang, eager to redeem himself, chased after them with his four Diamond Kings.

The factory was left empty, save for Lu Chengwen sitting alone in the vast hall, suddenly feeling his legs go weak.

Waves of delayed fear washed over him.

Every single step—every word—had been a gamble with his life.

One misstep, one wrong phrase, and he'd have been done for.

Luckily, this massive organization was as bizarre as it was inefficient. Despite its bloated structure, only a few key branches did the real work. Tie Tuo Wang was merely the leader of the Red Guard faction.

The organization's structure was incredibly complex, divided into several branches:

Main: The leadership, like military strategists, responsible for coordinating departments, issuing specific tasks, and rewarding or punishing based on results.Plan: The internal logistics branch, handling intelligence gathering and analysis, providing strategies and intel to Main. Essentially, they were the office-bound think tank, communicating only with Main.Guide: External intelligence operatives, collecting information and passing it to Plan, tasked with monitoring mission outcomes.Strategy: Specialists handling assassinations and clean-up operations.Red: The combat division. The Gold, Silver, Copper, and Iron Kings were the elite of this group, responsible for direct combat missions, often the brute-force kind.White: A support combat division, sometimes assisting Red, occasionally Black. They leaned more toward Red's duties.Black: The most critical and secretive branch. All other branches revolved around them. No one, except Main, knew who they were, how many there were, or where they operated. They handled the dirtiest assassination work.

To ensure secrecy, no branch knew or contacted the others. There were no codes, no communication channels, not even awareness of each other's existence.

You did your job and nothing else. No questions asked.

Kill when ordered, drink when off-duty—everything was orchestrated by Main behind the scenes.

Long Aotian only knew a few Black operatives, and none from the Northern Kingdom, let alone the Red Guards.

Lu Chengwen had exploited their paranoia, their mutual isolation, and their sealed communication channels, taking a massive gamble.

And, by sheer luck, he'd won.

Ding-dong!

System: "Congratulations, Host! You've completed a transformation and successfully repelled the main protagonist once! Sending you a big heart!"

Lu Chengwen toyed with a wine glass, looking up with a menacing glint in his eyes. "I'm officially at war with the main male lead. Aren't you worried?"

System: "Not at all! The higher-ups are quite impressed with your performance!"

"Is that so?" Lu Chengwen said. "They just love watching the show, don't they?"

System: "Yup, yup! Host, you're as clever as ever! Everyone bet you'd get crushed by Long Aotian, but not only did you survive, you turned Tie Tuo Wang against him. No one saw that plot twist coming! But, there's one tiny issue…"

"What's that?"

System: "We've discovered a major problem!"

Lu Chengwen chuckled. "Go on, spill it."

System: "Based on the current situation, the original storyline of this world has completely collapsed!"

Lu Chengwen shot to his feet, waving his fist. "Didn't it collapse ages ago?! What the hell are you guys doing? Say something useful for once! Rewards! Rewards! I want my rewards!"

System: "Alrighty! This time, you get to choose from three rewards."

"Lay it out."

System:

"Reward 1: Peak Experience Card—Two Immovable Bright King Experience Cards!"

"Reward 2: Growth-Type Reward—Great Sage Tiger-Subduing Fist Beginner Card! Use this card, and you'll instantly gain Level 1 mastery of the Great Sage Tiger-Subduing Fist, which can grow stronger as you train."

"Reward 3: Superpower Possession Card—Use this card, and you'll randomly gain a superpower from now on."

Lu Chengwen pondered.

The Immovable Bright King Card was tempting, but only two cards?

That meant he'd need to keep relying on the system to "extend his life," constantly earning more cards to face off against Long Aotian.

But there was a catch.

What if Long Aotian went berserk and hit him three times?

He couldn't exactly challenge him to a "literary duel" every time—one punch each, then go home.

Those cards could run out at any moment.

The Growth Card was promising, but it required time to train and level up. At Level 1, the Great Sage Tiger-Subduing Fist was practically useless.

As for the Superpower Card… random?

Hah, no thanks.

He'd been burned by their "random" rewards before.

One time, after crossing into a world, his "superpower" was making his poop spiral-shaped!

Who the hell could he show that to?

How was he supposed to flex with that? Yell, "Bring in my toilet, let these fools see my masterpiece"?

Utterly useless.

"I'll take the Great Sage Tiger-Subduing Fist!"

System: "Congratulations, Host! You've acquired the Great Sage Tiger-Subduing Fist set. Have fun!"

The moment Lu Chengwen received the Great Sage Tiger-Subduing Fist, he felt his body grow stronger!

He threw a couple of punches, grinning. Not bad at all!

With this fist technique, most people wouldn't stand a chance against him.

Others spent years training, needing talent and luck to even touch the realm of ancient martial masters, yet he'd just been handed it.

He had to admit—it felt pretty damn good.

Just then, Tie Tuo Wang and his four lackeys returned, immediately dropping to one knee. "Young Master, we chased Long Aotian to the outskirts' cliff. I hit him with a Black Tiger Heart Strike, and he fell. He's dead!"

Lu Chengwen's eyes lit up. "You're sure he's dead?"

"Absolutely, no doubt!"

"Not 'no doubt'—did you see his head come off?"

"No."

"Where'd he fall?"

"A cliff, crazy high. With his injuries, he's definitely dead! No way he survived!"

Lu Chengwen's heart sank.

This idiot had just handed Long Aotian a power-up!

Hadn't he watched any TV shows or movies? Which protagonist ever died falling off a cliff?

There's either a beautiful woman waiting below to nurse him back to health, a cave full of martial arts manuals, or a legendary master trapped down there, ready to teach him the Nine Yang Divine Technique so he can come back for revenge!

Lu Chengwen declared loudly, "Take me to the cliff, now!"

"Why go to the cliff?"

"That bastard's definitely not dead. We need to go down, find him, and finish him off!"

Tie Tuo Wang burst out laughing. "Young Master, you're overthinking it. That cliff's insanely high. He's done for, no way he survived."

Lu Chengwen snapped, "I'm telling you, he can't die! Let's go!"

Fuming, Lu Chengwen marched toward the cliff, gritting his teeth and thinking:

Trying to play me like that!?

Am I your average villain?

With a villain like me, you're out of luck, Long Aotian!

If anyone's dying today, it's you!

The Cliff.

Lu Chengwen peered over the edge.

As expected, it was insanely high—looking down made him dizzy.

Tie Tuo Wang stood beside him. "Young Master, stop looking. It's so high, and the bottom's all rocks. He's dead for sure."

Lu Chengwen shot him a glare. "We need to go down and find his body."

"Is that really necessary?"

"Hell yes, it is." Lu Chengwen said, "Hold me steady. I'm checking for caves or anything down there."

Lu Chengwen searched desperately, clinging to a sliver of hope.

If he could find Long Aotian and deliver the final blow, the main protagonist would be done for.

If he could actually kill Long Aotian, this story would have no male lead!

Hah! He'd be free to do whatever he wanted.

No need to avoid those female leads, no need to lose his fortune to stay safe, no need to keep a low profile or act humble.

With billions in wealth and no natural enemies in this world, he could do whatever he pleased!

Lu Chengwen stood at the cliff's edge, gripping a crooked tree, straining to look down. He couldn't see a body—couldn't even make out the rocks below clearly.

Tie Tuo Wang yawned, bored. "Young Master, he's definitely dead. Surviving a fall like that would be a miracle."

Lu Chengwen stepped onto a rock, leaning out as far as he could.

"Young Master, you're not planning to jump down to find his body, are you? I'm warning you, no amount of lightness skill will help at this height. Don't get cocky."

Lu Chengwen turned to glare at him, about to snap back, when the small tree snapped. Clutching the broken branch, Lu Chengwen plummeted.

Tie Tuo Wang, lighting a cigarette, didn't notice. The four lackeys' eyes widened, pointing at the cliff.

Tie Tuo Wang rushed to the edge, looking down but seeing no trace of Lu Chengwen. He nodded.

Turning back, he said, "The Young Master is truly a god among men! His protective aura today blew me away. I thought his Immovable Bright King Technique was already unmatched, but who knew his lightness skill was this insane? A cliff this high—I get weak just looking at it, but the Young Master jumped without hesitation. What does that tell us?"

The four lackeys pointed at the broken tree.

Tie Tuo Wang nodded. "Exactly! Well said! The Young Master is our tree, and we need to cling to it! Get excited, boys—with him as our backing, we're set for life! Hahaha!"

"Being Red Guards in the organization is pointless. We barely make any money, slaving away on missions. But the Young Master's loaded! A tiny bit from his pockets is enough for us to live it up for the rest of our lives! Hahaha!"

One of the lackeys, face pale, said, "Iron King, you didn't see… the Young Master… he fell."

"What?"

Tie Tuo Wang laughed. "Impossible! No way!"

"The Young Master's skills are unmatched. How could he be clumsier than us? Fall? If he died, we'd be screwed!"

The four lackeys started crying. "Iron King, let's go down and look. Maybe we can still find his body."

Tie Tuo Wang's legs went weak. "He… really fell?"

"He even screamed."

Tie Tuo Wang turned, roaring in grief and fury:

"Young Master—!"
