Chapter 69 - My Rules Are The Rules

Even in death, Catarina Devon maintained her previous smile.

Renji's voice rang out coldly, "I originally wanted to keep you, but you are too disgusting."

Catarina Devon, a person of such low caliber, actually wanted to toy with him. Just thinking about that look in her eyes, if Renji didn't kill her, he probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

So, even if her bounty would skyrocket in the future, Renji didn't want to wait any longer.

"Hey! Why so much killing intent?!"

Teach's expression was incredibly grim, and a dark, ominous power surged in his palm.

Clang!

Shiryu instantly unsheathed his sword and aimed at Renji, while cold sweat drenched his back.

He was greatly alarmed. Renji's speed was simply beyond imagination.

The remaining Blackbeard Pirates members watched their comrade, who had been laughing and chatting moments before, now slowly collapse into a headless corpse.

Thud!

The high-flying head finally landed.

Watching this scene, the few Blackbeard Pirates members' spirits were now highly tense, their eyes fixed on Renji, fearing that they would be the next to suffer such a fate.

With incredibly gloomy expressions, they merely watched Renji turn slightly, and this single movement almost made them jump.

After a moment, Laffitte whispered, "Captain, why don't you just give in to him? It's just kowtowing, it's not a big deal."

Doc Q and Sanjuan Wolf were already scared witless at this point, and they also echoed, "Yes, yes, captain. Kowtow, and your life will be spared."

Pizarro also abandoned his previous arrogance. "That's right, Captain, what is face compared to life?"

The death of his comrade sobered up the drunken Vasco Shot considerably.

Teach looked at them, cursing inwardly, 'Bastards, you're not the ones kowtowing.'

"Will you keep your word?" Teach coldly asked.

Renji smiled slightly. "Of course."

At this moment, the Marine soldiers and pirates in the distance were somewhat confused by the conflict between Renji and the Blackbeard Pirates.

"He attacked several crew members and even beheaded one in front of everyone; aren't they going to fight?"

"Don't you know, the onw who just died was Catarina Devon. She was actually taken down by Renji in an instant."

...

The inky black power slowly receded from Blackbeard's palm, finally disappearing. He walked towards Renji.

Shiryu frowned at this. "Teach..."

"I have my own plans." Teach said with a grim face, walking up to Renji.

"This... will do, right?"

Currently, Marine clearly held the advantage. Relying on Bullet and a Whitebeard Pirates without Whitebeard, trying to seize the Devil Fruit amidst the chaos was simply too risky.

And as time passed, the chances of success would become smaller and smaller. He couldn't delay any longer.

For the dream in his heart, what was a mere kowtow?

Thud!

To everyone's astonished gazes, Teach's head heavily knocked against the ground towards Renji.

"What's going on? Why is he kowtowing to Captain Renji?"

"Holy crap, Captain Renji killed his crew member and now he has to kowtow to the other party?"

In the distance, Koby had originally hoped that perhaps the Blackbeard Pirates could kill Renji, but reality dealt him a head-on blow,

"What in the world is happening to this world?"

Ever since Renji appeared, Koby's life had never been easy.

Thud! Thud!

There were two more sounds of his head hitting the floor tiles. Blackbeard's forehead was even scraped raw.

Seeing him kowtow like this, Renji was a little surprised and said, "Your scalp is even broken. It was just a joke, you're taking it too seriously."

Upon hearing this, Teach stood up, the man-eating ferocity that was on the verge of erupting deep in his eyes forcibly suppressed.

"A joke? This should be enough, right? Zehahaha..."

"Of course, I'm not someone who breaks promises. You may pass." Renji stepped aside, clearing the path.

"Zehahaha..." Teach's face was grim, but seeing Renji truly move aside, a hint of joy appeared in his heart.

His gaze swept towards Whitebeard's corpse on the ground, gradually becoming excited. That was the Tremor-Tremor Fruit that could shake the world.

Teach thought, 'If I can obtain the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit this way, a mere kowtow is nothing.'

The Blackbeard Pirates successively walked past Renji, their eyes fixed on Renji from beginning to end, fearing that this god of slaughter would suddenly erupt.

Only drunken Vasco Shot, as he passed Renji, perhaps due to the alcohol, blurted out, "Kid, leave a way for others. We may meet again in the future."

Renji's lips curved at his words. "Who said you could leave?"

As his voice fell, the Blackbeard Pirates' footsteps paused. An incredibly powerful aura instantly enveloped them, as if they were being stared at by a Shura from hell. Under the suppression of this power, their bodies were actually unable to move.

"What?"

Boom!

Amidst a cry of alarm, accompanied by splashing blood, a violent impact followed.

One of Vasco Shot's arms flew off, and at the same time, his body was instantly slammed into the ground by a powerful force.

"Renji! What are you doing?!"

Under the terrified gaze of the Blackbeard Pirates, Renji's lips curved into a sneer.

"I never said you could leave."

"Bastard!"

Several Blackbeard Pirates, in shock and anger, were about to counterattack. However, Renji's current speed had long exceeded their reaction limit. Using only Blue, the least lethal of his many techniques, he defeated all of them within two seconds.

Controlled by Renji's Blue, their bodies were brutally embedded into the ruins. Finally, only Shiryu and Teach remained.

Teach's face was grim, and the dark power of the Dark-Dark Fruit surged wildly.

"Bastard! Die!"

Whoosh!

The gravitational pull from the Dark-Dark Fruit was instantly released.

Teach smiled triumphantly. Under this gravity, as long as the opponent was a Devil Fruit user, no matter if their body was elementalized or whatever means they used, they would inevitably fall into his hands.

However, in the next second, Teach's expression froze. To his stunned gaze, Renji's body remained completely still.

Shiryu was puzzled by this. He had prepared to deliver a fatal blow to Renji when he was pulled into Teach's palm, but what was happening now?

"Teach! How could..."

Before Shiryu could think further, his pupils suddenly constricted. With the instinct of a swordsman, he slashed out to his side.

Clang!

A fierce gust of wind swirled, and Shiryu's beloved sword, Raiu, clashed and sparked against Kurai.

Feeling the opponent's terrifying swordsmanship, Renji smiled. Shiryu's strength was even above Vista's. Presumably, these guys would fetch a good bounty in the future.

"Captain, I'll help you."

A voice sounded from the sky, and Sanjuan Wolf's massive hand slammed down with a strike.

The mountain-like blow compressed the air, creating gusts of wind, which showed how terrifying its power was.

Teach's face changed drastically as he looked at the descending shadow. "Are you an idiot!"

"If this keeps up, even I'll be crushed to death by you."

Whoosh!

Renji's figure disappeared, reappearing in mid-air. His azure eyes swept towards the giant figure in the sky.

"I almost forgot, you're still here."

Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!

Three crimson lights flickered at his fingertips. One shot towards the sky, and the other two shot towards Shiryu.

On the ground, Teach and Shiryu were enveloped in red light, the crimson glow clearly reflecting the changes in their expressions.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After a series of violent explosions.

"Ahhh! Damn it! Ahhh! Why does it hurt so much! I was only slightly hit!"

Teach thrashed around in the ruins, even foaming at the mouth.

Then, under Buggy's live broadcast and the world's gaze, Renji appeared beside Teach.

Out of kindness, he stepped on Teach's face to help him stabilize his body, so he wouldn't roll around and get cut by sharp debris.

"Ugh! Bastard, you're not playing fair! You promised to let me pass!" Teach, in shock and anger, even screamed until his voice broke.

Renji's lips curved. "Rules? My rules are the rules."
