Edith quickly thought before Cliff caught Callum and Erdin's presence. Therefore, she was forced to put on a show again to avoid suspicion. She deliberately put on a stiff smile and tightly gripped her fiancé's right hand.
"Cliff, can you give me five minutes before I allow you to enter my residence?"
"What's wrong? Don't you usually let me in right away?"
"Actually, my house is a mess because, as usual, Eliana gets into trouble while doing her homework. She always leaves her crayons scattered all over the floor."
Cliff exhaled heavily. "Okay, I'll wait here as long as you like. I don't mind if your house is a mess, actually."
"I promise it will be neat in five minutes."
Edith quickly closed the door to her residence and ran over to her ex-fiancé, who was busy playing with her twins. Without further ado, Edith pulled her ex by the hand and led him into her room.
