I kept my stealth spell running in steady rotation rather than at continuous use, conserving Essence to prevent intoxication while maintaining enough cover to move through corridors without announcing myself to everything that breathed.

Yes, for some reason, the abyssal monsters at the lower layers could detect me with my stealth spell covering my entire being, which makes them somewhat scarier now.
As for the monsters that roamed the floor of the middle layer I'm currently like now, they were some kind of an amalgamation.
