The nine Alphas stood in a tense semi circle, looking down at Noah's twitching form with growing apprehension.
When they heard Sebastian's high pitched declaration that he was not giving up, they immediately began to frown.
The gravity of the situation was starting to sink in for even the most hardened among them. One of the men stepped forward, his voice low and laced with a genuine warning.
"We cannot do anything more, Sebastian," the man said, looking at Noah's pale face.
"If we release any more pheromones at this intensity, there is a very real chance he might actually die. Look at him. He can barely breathe right now. His body is rejecting everything we are doing. This is no longer a biological reaction; it is a medical emergency."
Sebastian didn't take the warning with any level of reason. Instead, he began to ruffle his hair upward like a person who had completely lost their grip on reality.
