Chapter 90: Controlling Magnetism x The Seven Most Beautiful Colors in the World

"Because they're extremists," Gotoh replied calmly, putting away his coins. "Years ago, when I accompanied the Master on missions, I heard him say that people who get stuck in their own ways are particularly dangerous. They only believe in their own methods, which often makes them purer than ordinary people. If they lean towards good, they become paragons of virtue. If they lean towards evil, they become truly monstrous. And when they awaken Nen... the more extreme they are, the stronger they become; the more obsessive, the crazier. The friends they make tend to be similar..."

"Like Moritonio and this guy."

The law of deviant aggregation... like attracts like, opposites repel. Is that what he meant?

Roy released Hisoka, slowly calming down. A spark of insight flashed through his mind, but he couldn't quite grasp it. He stood still, frowning in thought. Just then, an evening breeze blew past, peeling back the skin on Moritonio's face, revealing his true features.

The boy paused, then walked towards him. In Moritonio's already glazed eyes, he saw his own reflection.

'Iron-Stained Bipolarity'... injecting 'magnetism' into Aura to exert physical pressure on others. Moritonio... because he wanted to attract people, the Nen ability born from his Ren was, in essence, 'magnetism'!

Or rather, every object with 'mass' possesses a magnetic field. The force generated by manipulating this field is magnetism. And the 'Sun' also has a magnetic field, solar flares, and the ability to 'attract' and 'repel'—achieving the effect of manipulating magnetic fields!

Roy's eyes grew brighter. He felt he had grasped something. Inspiration struck. He tried visualizing the 'Sun' in his mind, imagining infusing his Nen with magnetism, mimicking a magnet. He reached out towards Moritonio. Several fallen leaves trembled, struggled, and then lifted into the air, firmly caught in his grasp.

[Notification: Nen Property Change +10]

[Note: "Essence of the Sun", Current Level (lv1: 11/100)]

[Effect: Magnetism. (Note: Host can imbue Nen with magnetism to manipulate others' magnetic fields. Control strength depends on level)]

[The higher the Nen 'intensity', the wider the range of manipulation, and the stronger the target that can be controlled...]

The corner of the boy's mouth lifted. He clenched his fist, crushing the leaves to dust. As he opened his hand, the wind swept the ashes away into the distance. Tonight's 'performance' was finally over. He picked up his cane sword and turned away without a backward glance. "Let's go."

In the dark night, master and servant left the alley, hailed a taxi, and sped away from the scene.

Tap tap... About ten minutes after Roy left, light footsteps echoed. From the darkness emerged a new 'Roy'. His eyes were vacant. He stepped over Moritonio's severed body and walked expressionlessly towards Hisoka.

Suddenly, an unsettling laugh echoed from within the wall, reaching his ears. "Friend~ Mind giving me a hand? ♦ It's a bit stuffy with my head stuck in the wall..."♣

Illumi considered this, watching him silently for a moment. He stepped forward, pulled out a 'Nen Pin' from seemingly nowhere, aimed it at Hisoka's chest, and plunged it in. "Don't worry. Once you're dead, it won't feel stuffy anymore."

"Heh heh heh... That's certainly one solution, but...◇"

BOOM! Hisoka swung his Aura-enveloped fist, shattering the wall and pulling his head free. Using Gyo, he dodged Illumi's incoming 'Nen Pin', took two steps back, and looked at him strangely, a smile playing on his lips.

"You're not 'him'... yet you've disguised yourself as 'him' ◇..."

"Let me guess, hmmm~ You have a crush on 'him'... so you attacked me out of jealousy? ♥" Hisoka's eyes narrowed into crescents, his gaze burning into Illumi. Illumi remained silent, but his shoulder-length black hair floated backwards, like a cat whose tail had just been stepped on, instantly bristling with anger!

Swish... swish... Without a word, he flicked his wrist, sending several more 'Nen Pins' flying—fast, vicious, and all aimed at Hisoka's vital points!

Hisoka laughed "happily." "Ho ho ho... Looks like I guessed right ¤..." He reached into his pocket and flicked his wrist as well, sending several Aura-infused playing cards spinning towards the incoming pins.

Clang clang clang clang... The sound of metal striking metal echoed relentlessly through the cold night.

Vroom...

Guianas taxis were as wild as Guianas magic shows.

On the way back to the airport, Roy flicked his fingers, manipulating coins through the air, back and forth between himself and Gotoh, familiarizing himself with the 'Magnetism' property.

The middle-aged driver kept glancing back, praising him, "Impressive, young man! That trick of moving things without touching them looks just as good as that... uh... what's-his-name's 'Flying Swim'! You could make a fortune performing..."

"It's Moritonio," Gotoh corrected, catching the coins Roy tossed over. He was equally surprised by his Young Master's new skill; it really did resemble Moritonio's ability, with a subtle 'pulling force' embedded in the Nen.

"Right, Moritonio!" the driver slapped his forehead. "Look at my memory... I was planning to take my daughter to see him in a few days, and I already forgot."

"You won't get the chance."

Screech. They arrived at the airport. Roy flicked his fingers, sending several coins flying toward the driver. "Keep the change," he said without looking back, opening the car door. He got out with Gotoh and headed into the terminal.

The driver scratched his head, perplexed, then stepped on the gas, leaving behind a cloud of black smoke smelling faintly of gasoline. Beep—

They passed through security. As their departure time for the Saherta Republic approached, Roy noticed the Guianas terminal waiting area held significantly more strangely dressed individuals compared to Padokea.

Someone was wrapped head-to-toe in bandages, only their eyes visible. Another wore a turban with a cobra coiled around their neck. Someone else carried a bow and arrows, several colorful feathers stuck in their headband. A man built like a bear stood bare-chested, revealing powerful muscles. Yet another, dressed as a ninja, was doing one-handed handstand push-ups, his head shaved clean.

"These must be candidates heading for the Hunter Exam. Anyone who registered would be allowed in here," Gotoh explained. He accompanied Roy to an empty seat. Noticing his Young Master staring intently in a particular direction, he discreetly followed his gaze. At the right end of the opposite row of seats sat a quiet young woman.

She had beautiful blonde hair, simply tied back with a hairpin, and wore distinctive ethnic clothing—a blue top and white pants. She was engrossed in a book. Aside from being pretty, there didn't seem to be anything particularly noteworthy about her.

"Young Master, do you know her?"

Roy shook his head. It wasn't 'knowing' her, but rather 'recognizing' her. The girl's unique ethnic attire was too distinct. Plus, she kept reaching up to adjust her glasses, seeming very conscious of her eyes. Roy was certain: she belonged to the Kurta Clan, possessors of the Scarlet Eyes, one of the "Seven Most Beautiful Colors in the World."

"Hello."

Perhaps sensing Roy's gaze, the girl looked up, her beautiful eyes meeting his. She offered a polite smile before returning to her book. Glancing at the cover page, it seemed to be a travel journal.
