While everyone at Chasing Light immersed themselves in leisurely entertainment, a rather peculiar new epithet began spreading throughout the world.
Generally speaking, the ruler of an era and the strongest in the world naturally deserved a title.
McQueen had defeated both Generous and Suave Dancer while displaying unparalleled dominance and an overwhelming presence unlike anything else in the current era. Naturally, she could not escape receiving one of her own.
Thus, on the day after the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe ended, a painfully dramatic title began spreading from the Far East.
Everyone knew that fans in the Far East possessed an inner edgelord.
The only difference was whether they displayed it openly or kept it deeply buried.
That day, however, they all unleashed their overactive imaginations at once.
Thus, McQueen's new epithet was born:
The Pure-White Wings Beyond the End: McQueen of the Celestial Aurora!
Three days passed.
Thanks to word of mouth and the explosive reach of the modern internet, the title finally made its way to Europe.
Even McQueen herself shuddered when she first heard it.
There was no deeper reason.
It was simply unbearably embarrassing.
...
Several vehicles stood waiting at the front gate of Gilltown Stud.
"Trainer, say ah."
A breathtakingly beautiful girl radiating a profoundly maternal air smiled as she teasingly brushed a grape against Kuroha's lips.
"..."
After a moment of silence, Kuroha opened his mouth and ate it.
Super Creek's eyes curved into joyful crescents.
"Creek-senpai, I want one too!"
An eager voice came from behind him.
Teio was pressed against Kuroha's side, the top of her head barely reaching his chest. She looked up with a completely innocent smile.
"Of course. Teio gets one too. Say ah."
Seeing Teio asking to be fed only made Super Creek happier. She picked up another grape and gently placed it between the girl's lips.
Afterward, she raised her head and gazed tenderly at Kuroha again.
"She's gone full mom mode..."
Kuroha looked at Super Creek, whose entire attention now seemed devoted to him. He then glanced around at Fujimasa March, Inari, and the other Chasing Light members, all of whom appeared completely accustomed to the sight.
He honestly did not know what to say.
Ever since last night, perhaps because they had come to understand each other so thoroughly, Super Creek had suddenly become exceptionally intimate with him.
She helped him dress, wash up, eat, and even reminded him to drink water.
The only thing she had not done was hover beside him through his bath.
On second thought, that might only be a matter of time.
She had also begun calling him Trainer without hesitation, completely accepting her new identity as one of Chasing Light's Umamusume.
Meanwhile, although her feelings toward her original trainer remained unchanged, she now simply addressed her with a sweet and affectionate "Fumino."
But I never even flirted with Creek...
After grumbling internally, Kuroha looked toward the manor.
Rudolf and the others were approaching with their luggage.
"Sorry. Something came up at the association, so we were delayed."
Rudolf apologized softly before she had even reached them.
The delay had not been her fault, but she had still arrived late.
"It's fine. We still have plenty of time before the flight."
"Besides, it's our private flight. The plane wouldn't dare leave without us."
Kuroha smiled and stepped forward to take Rudolf's suitcase.
They were returning to Central Tracen today.
Their expedition had achieved every one of its objectives, and there was nothing left for them to do in Europe.
There was no reason to stay any longer.
"That still isn't a good excuse. They're all association employees, so we shouldn't make their jobs more difficult."
Rudolf smiled and shook her head, but instinctively handed over her suitcase anyway.
Of course, that amount of weight was as light as a feather to both her and Kuroha.
While everyone organized the last of their luggage, Teio closed the trunk of one of the cars. Her eyes suddenly darted around before she hurried over to the purple-haired girl nearby.
"...The Pure-White Wings Beyond the End, McQueen of the Celestial Aurora?"
"..."
"Pfft!"
Maruzensky, who had been helping with the luggage, immediately burst out laughing.
Even the corners of Ramonu's mouth twitched.
The epithets attached to the two of them were hardly ordinary either.
One was the "Supercar," while the other was the "Three-Crowned Bewitching Beauty."
Both sounded every bit as dramatic as "Celestial Aurora."
However, McQueen's title differed from theirs in one crucial way.
It had that ridiculously long phrase in front of it.
McQueen abruptly raised her head. The tips of her ears turned bright red as she glared reproachfully at Teio.
"Please stop saying that!"
Over the past few days, she had heard someone repeating the title everywhere she went.
Even her local European fans had learned how to shout it.
It was the ultimate test of how much embarrassment she could endure.
"All right, that's enough!"
Watching the scene from nearby, Kuroha could not suppress his smile. He clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.
"Is everything packed? If so, everyone get in the cars."
"All done!"
"Mm-hm."
"Osu!"
The Umamusume chatted and laughed as they climbed into the vehicles one after another.
The engines roared to life.
The cars sped past the lush green fields of the European countryside, carrying a cabin full of laughter as they gradually left behind the vast manor where they had created so many memories.
