Chapter 89 - "4 Billion Berries: Logan's True Power."

-----

-----

The moment the Navy ships landed, chaos swept across the Sabaody Archipelago.

"Navyy's here! Everyone, run!!"

"It's… it's one of the Seven Warlords, Tyrant Kuma, and even Admiral Tsuru leading them! Are they coming for us?!"

"Run fast! If we're late, we're going straight to prison!!!"

"Damn it! They brought so many troops… Are they trying to wipe out every pirate here?!"

"Forget it, we'll let Logan go this time. Next time, I'll get him myself!!"

Every corner of Sabaody buzzed with the news of the Navy's arrival. Pirates scattered in panic, desperate to escape.

"Don't bother with these small fry. Head straight for the districts where the Supernovas are and capture them all!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru crossed her arms, ignoring the fleeing pirates. To her, these guys were nothing—small fish unworthy of attention.

"Yes, Vice Admiral Tsuru!"

"Understood!"

Five elite vice admirals, along with Sentomaru, checked their den den mushi to confirm the Supernovas' locations and set off immediately.

The battles erupted quickly.

"You're the pirate godfather with a bounty of 138 million Berries… Capone 'Gang' Bege, right?!"

One of the Navy's hawkish vice admirals, Doberman, lowered his eyes, staring at the man in front of him—a black-coated gangster with a cigar clenched in his teeth.

"Capone Bege! Surrender immediately! Don't waste your energy resisting!!""Monsters like you should rot in prison!!"

A dozen elite soldiers, muskets ready, aimed squarely at Bege.

Bege's face darkened. He took a sharp puff of his cigar, muscles coiling. Facing Doberman alone, he wouldn't have flinched. But next to Doberman stood Tyrant Kuma—though, unbeknownst to him, it was a Pacifista modeled after Kuma.

"Capone Bege, a user of the Castle-Castle Fruit, aren't you going to release your men?!" Doberman sneered, reading Bege's hand like an open book.

"I'll fight you to the end!!!"

Bege roared, and as he did, a series of small doors opened along his torso. Black spheres shot out, rapidly expanding—human-sized cannonballs.

"I've been expecting you!" Doberman snorted and charged forward, sword in hand.

The same scene was unfolding in other parts of the Archipelago.

Area 23.

By a fountain, Hawkins' crew urged him to flee. "Captain Hawkins, the Navy's here! Let's get out of here!!"

"Yeah, even Vice Admiral Tsuru is personally here!"

"Her Wara Wara Fruit is terrifying!!"

Hawkins glanced at them coolly. "Don't panic. We're not dying today."

He continued shuffling his tarot cards, divining their fate.

"Hehehe… Are the Supernovas really this brave now?!"

Admiral Firetank appeared, flanked by a Pacifista and several soldiers. "Captain Hawkins, the Navy's here. Stop your fortune-telling!"

Hawkins' crew, grateful for his past saves, volunteered to cover his retreat. But Hawkins remained calm, declaring the reading:"Battle: 100% chance of defeat. Escape: 1% chance of success."

Firetank smirked. "Hawkins, looks like today you're coming with me to the Navy HQ!!"

Meanwhile, in three other districts, the remaining Supernovas—Uruki, Apoo, and Drake—were confronting three elite vice admirals and their Pacifistas. The stage was set for war.

Area 4

Here, Kid's crew and the Heart Pirates had gathered, bringing together three Supernovas. Though Kid and Law were at odds, facing overwhelming force, they had no choice but to cooperate. Battles erupted with the Navy and two Pacifistas.

"Hahaha, a bunch of small-time thieves! Surrender already!!"

Sentomaru swung his massive axe, charging into the fray. Law grimaced, activating his Room with his left hand.

"ROOM: Meat Grinder!"

Seconds later, Zoro's position swapped with his crewmate Qanbaru. The axe slammed down; Qanbaru's face twisted as he gripped the handle tightly. "Captain… you're way out of line!!"

Law laughed. "Hold him off. I'll handle these two machines and come to help you!"

Nearby, Kid shouted, "Law! Stop talking, help me! I can't hold much longer!!"

Facing two Pacifistas, Kid and Killer were already struggling. Kid absorbed metal into a massive mechanical arm, smashing one Pacifista away. Killer struck with blinding speed, but sparks flew harmlessly off the robot.

Admiral Tsuru appeared slowly, surveying the damage. A Pacifista costs as much as a Navy ship; destroying one is no small matter.

Area 1

The last Supernova location—the battlefield of the Straw Hats. According to the Navy's plan, they should have faced Tyrant Kuma and a Pacifista. But only the Pacifista was present.

After a fierce fight, it collapsed with a deafening crash. Its red eyes flickered twice before shutting down.

The Straw Hats were exhausted, breathing heavily.

"What the hell is that thing?! Doesn't even feel like Kuma!!" Zoro lay sprawled, gasping.

Though tough, the Pacifista was clearly weaker than Kuma.

"Who cares! We won!!" Franky laughed, collapsing against a boulder.

Sanji lit a cigarette, serious. "We can't stay here. Let's move—now!!"

Usopp, nervous, nodded. "Sanji's right. We should hide somewhere and wait for the Navy to leave… ahhh!!"

Suddenly, Usopp clutched his face, screaming.

"What?!!" The crew spun around.

A tall man approached—Logan.

"Logan!!" Zoro growled, teeth gritted. The bastard who stole his sword.

"That guy!!" Luffy's anger flared, his chest still scarred from their last encounter.

Usopp's face drained. He remembered vividly how Logan almost killed Luffy and Zoro. Days ago, they'd seen Logan's latest bounty: 4 billion Berries. Enough to cover an entire island with money.

The Straw Hats tensed again.

Logan sauntered over, mocking. He had arrived long ago but waited to gauge Luffy's strength. Weak as ever, the Straw Hats only managed to destroy one Pacifista.

Meanwhile, Tyrant Kuma appeared on the field, following Logan. Logan muttered to himself—was this supposed to be dramatic?

Kuma's presence complicated things. Logan could kill him easily if he were just a Warlord, but Kuma was also Bonney's father. His love for her rivaled Moria's for Perona. He had even become a test subject for Vegapunk to save Bonney. Now, only a shred of reason remained in Kuma.

Facing both Logan and Kuma, the Straw Hats were trapped.

"If you're going on a trip, where would you like to go?!" Kuma's voice boomed as he removed his glove, facing them calmly. The crew tensed instantly.

Boom! Thunder cracked, lightning flashed, separating the Straw Hats from Kuma.

Logan, wreathed in electricity, grinned. "Kuma, today you won't protect them."

He wanted to strike the Straw Hats, especially Luffy, leaving the rest for later.

Kuma's face remained stoic. "I won't let you hurt them."

After today, Vegapunk's final modifications would erase Kuma's mind completely, turning him into an emotionless machine. But until then, he would protect the Captain's son.

Logan understood Kuma's stubbornness but was helpless.

"Then I'll have to defeat you first!!"

Boom! Silver lightning surged, turning the battlefield into a deadly electric zone hundreds of meters wide.

The Straw Hats froze in shock, panic flooding their hearts. Both Logan and Kuma were untouchable. Any collateral damage could cost their lives.

"Run!!" Luffy shouted, decisive. Even he knew this wasn't the time to fight blindly.

But before anyone could move, Kuma flashed in front of Luffy, extending his hand.

Boom!!

A black, Haki-infused leg struck him, sending him flying.

"Stay out of the way, Kuma!!"

"Wide-Range: Divine Punishment!!" Logan's glare cut through the chaos, fists igniting.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Every Straw Hat except Luffy was struck, collapsing unconscious under the precise lightning attacks.

"You bastard! What do you want?!!" Luffy seethed, powerless. He had come to take revenge on Logan but couldn't even see the trail of his attacks. The gap in their strength crushed him with a terrifying sense of helplessness.

"Luffy, do you think I'd let you live when Garp is trying to kill me?!" Logan's lips curled into a cold, vicious smile as he stepped forward, the Seven-Star Sword in his hand gleaming.

"Garp…? Grandpa?!" Luffy froze for a moment before realization hit him like a lightning bolt.

He hadn't expected his grandfather to have a grudge against Logan.

"You idiot! My grandpa's after you, so why come after me?!" Luffy screamed, completely losing it.

Why was he getting dragged into this for no reason?!

"Heh heh heh… Who told you you're still the Sun God everyone worships?!"

"Let's see how many times you can explode today!"

"Foxfire Slash!"

Logan swung the Seven-Star Sword with a brutal force.

A green spiral storm erupted, carrying an endless torrent of slashing energy straight at Luffy.

"I'll blast you, you bastard! Gear Second!"

Steam hissed from Luffy's body as his blood boiled red, and in an instant, he activated Gear Second.

"Logan, stop this—!"

At the last second, Tyrant Kuma lunged in again, appearing directly in front of Luffy with his massive hand raised.

"Tyrant Kuma! Enough already!"

Logan's eyes glinted with a chilling light, and with a powerful kick, he sent Kuma flying.

Kuma shot backward like a cannonball, crashing into a distant mountain with a thunderous boom, sending dust and debris flying everywhere.

Before Kuma could even get up, Logan reappeared in an instant.

He wasn't about to let Kuma keep interrupting him.

Logan showed no mercy. With a single strike, he pierced Kuma's chest.

Wild lightning and the power of Sakura flowed through Kuma's body, wreaking havoc on his internal mechanisms.

Crackle…

Crackle…

Under the dual assault of lightning and Sakura, Kuma was severely damaged, stripped of any ability to move.

The giant lay still on the ground, arcs of electricity crackling throughout his body.

Logan had no intention of killing Kuma, but the repeated interference meant he needed to teach him a lesson.

Seizing the opportunity, Luffy stretched his arms with his Devil Fruit power, scooped up all his crewmates, and bolted.

But in the next second, Logan's devilish grin appeared right in front of him again.

Gritting his teeth, Luffy set his crew down and shouted, "I'm gonna blast you to pieces!!"

Empty threats that didn't faze Logan in the slightest.

A cold smirk curved Logan's lips as he mocked, "Luffy, I've got all the time in the world to play with you."

With Tyrant Kuma out of the fight, Luffy was completely alone, cornered with no way to run.

He gritted his teeth. Let's see what kind of freak the one chosen by Shanks and the Nika fruit really is!

"Serpent Fire Slash!"
