Chapter 51 - Chapter 50: Prof. Paradox in a Trance — and War Feedback?!

"Hmm… huh??"

Ethen, still half-asleep, rolled over.

Then suddenly, he sat bolt upright on his familiar floor mat, staring around the dark, battered RV.

"Wait… wasn't I fighting the Error Omnitrix?"

"How the heck did I end up back here—sleeping?!"

"So… everything just now was a Profeam?"

Ethen paused, then slowly lowered his gaze to his wrist.

There it was.

The Omnitrix—no, the modified War Watch—still firmly attached.

Right. That part wasn't a Profeam.

He remembered destroying the Error Omnitrix… then a few enemies appearing afterward…

But who they were, and what happened next—nothing. His memory was blank.

Also…

Ethen pushed himself up, and his muscles immediately screamed in protest.

His jacket was shredded… but the Plumbers' system-generated combat suit underneath was completely intact.

"System… how many reward points do I have now?"

"Ding! The host currently has: 250 reward points."

"Already 250? That fast… Honestly, that number feels illegal."

Ethen got Professed, moving carefully, and quietly stepped outside the RV.

He needed answers.

Click.

The door opened—then shut softly behind him.

Under the moonlight, Ethen spotted a familiar figure leaning against a tree.

Prof. Paradox.

But unlike usual… he looked exhausted—clothes torn, expression strained.

"Ethen… you woke up sooner than I expected."

"Prof. Paradox… what happened?"

"..."

After a long silence, Paradox finally answered.

"After you destroyed Error Alien X… you were found by a patrol from the Celestialsapien Tribunal."

"And then… you went berserk."

Ethen froze.

Celestialsapiens?!

"Are they going to come after me now?"

In the original timeline, Ben only Profew their attention because he accessed Alien X to save the universe.

Did this mean he had now become a problem too?

Paradox let out a breath—almost laughing—but clearly stressed.

"I think…"

His eyelid twitched.

"…they won't dare come looking for trouble with you."

"So relax. But also—use the power of Alien X… as little as humanly possible."

Ethen scratched his cheek, helpless.

"Yeah… got it."

One day, he'd control Alien X-level forms without losing his mind.

Maybe he'd even unlock a perfected form… like some kind of Ultimate Omnitrix of Love or something ridiculous.

Who knew?

Prof. Paradox straightened his coat.

"Ethen. Thank you for what you did. I'll conceal your universe as best as I can—to prevent… unnecessary visitors."

After saying that, he turned and faded away as quietly as he had arrived.

His expression was complicated.

If Ben Tennyson was a warrior…

Ethen was practically a full-scale war general among shapeshifters.

A terrifying one.

One that required careful handling.

"The parallel universe trip is officially over."

Ethen stretched and headed back inside the RV.

"Time to rest. Tomorrow… Grandpa Max's road trip continues."

Back to normal life.

He slept through the night and woke up early.

The morning went smoothly.

Nothing happened—

—until nightfall.

Grandpa Max Profove the Rustbucket along a quiet highway, neon lights flickering in the distance as they neared the city.

Ethen sat in the passenger seat, staring out at the passing night scenery.

Everything seemed peaceful.

Woo-woo-woo—

A police car sped past them.

Ethen and Ben exchanged a look.

No words needed.

Whoosh!!

Ben slammed the door open and jumped out mid-Profive as Stinkfly.

Ethen sighed, hands in pockets.

"Really, Ben?"

"Come on, Ethen! Don't chicken out now!" Stinkfly grinned.

Ethen pinched the bridge of his nose, then climbed onto Stinkfly's back.

Whoosh!!

They ascended, following the police sirens.

Meanwhile, inside the RV…

Grandpa Max wrote something carefully and slid it into a fax machine.

Observation Report: Apprentice Plumber — Ethen

To be submitted to Plumbers HQ.

The report was packed with recorded incidents.

At a warehouse entrance, police cars had gathered.

The manager nervously explained:

"There's a violent alien inside! Please—you have to catch him!"

"Alien?" The officers stared at the warehouse.

Inside, deep growling echoed.

Suddenly—

CRASH!!

A window shattered—and a dark figure darted past.

Panic spread instantly.

BANG!

Stinkfly landed with Ethen at the loading area.

"ROAR!!"

A small alien—barely half a meter tall—bared its teeth at them.

Stinkfly stared.

Then—

"…PFF—HAHAHAHA!!"

He burst into uncontrollable laughter.

The alien twitched—offended.

Ding! New Mission Issued — "Null Void Criminal: Destroyer Star."

Objective: Capture Destroyer Star, a Null Void escapee now on Earth.

Reward: 5 Reward Points.

"ROAR!!!"

Destroyer Star lunged—claws sharp and aimed at Stinkfly's throat.

"Oh crap—!"

Before the alien could strike—

BAM!!

Ethen punched it directly in the jaw, launching it into a pile of crates.

Expression flat.

"Ben. Stop laughing and handle it."

"On it!"

Stinkfly flew forward, firing slime shots.

Destroyer Star fired energy blasts—colliding, exploding, filling the area with smoke.

It smirked—thinking victory was near.

Then—

SWOOP!

Stinkfly burst through the smoke and tail-whipped it into the concrete.

"Boom! Easy!"

Ding! Mission Complete — +5 Reward Points.

Ethen smiled slightly.

Good.

Suddenly—

ZZZAP!!!

A blue laser shot through the air and expanded into an electrified net—slamming Stinkfly to the ground.

"What—?! Hey!! Who's there?!"

Footsteps echoed.

An elderly Plumber stepped forward—armed and confident.

"Aliens belong in custody."

His cold stare shifted to Ethen.

"Oh? Another human-looking alien?"

Ethen didn't blink.

"…I hope you can handle what happens when I transform."

He slammed the War Watch.
