"Finally… finally, this blade has fallen into my hands. It's the same weapon my father once used."
"Thunder Blades: Kiba."
In the depths of the Hidden Mist Village storeroom, Buntan held tightly onto the twin blades, whispering to herself.
At the same time, Shizuma felt the Chakra slowly leaking from the sword in his grip.
He lowered his head and murmured:
"I've obtained it… The Greatsword: Samehada."
A crazed grin stretched across his sharp, shark-like teeth.
"This massive blade—once belonging to Kisame Hoshigaki—now belongs to me."
He gently stroked Samehada's trembling scales and whispered:
"Relax… you'll have a full meal soon."
"Blunt Sword: Kabutowari — Fuefuki Jigumo!"
"Thunder Blades: Kiba — Kurotsuchi Buntan!"
"Executioner's Blade: Kubikiribocho — Hassaku!"
"Explosive Blade: Shibuki — Oniyuzu Ichirota!"
"Twin Swords: Hiramekarei — Hozuki Izuki!"
"Longsword: Nuibari — Hebiichigo!"
"And my Greatsword, Samehada."
Shizuma raised his chin and announced with cold determination:
"From this moment onward, we—the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist—officially return."
"Boss, now that we have all seven blades… what's the plan?"
Hassaku asked, gripping Kubikiribocho with uncontrollable excitement in his eyes.
Shizuma folded his arms and began to think.
"First, we kill the Hokage's son and create chaos. Then, during the confusion, we'll launch a coup with our supporters."
Hassaku frowned.
"But the Hokage's son is rumored to be strong. Killing him inside Hidden Mist Village could be troublesome."
Shizuma narrowed his eyes.
"You're right. Doing it inside the village is too risky."
Then he smirked.
"But we can lure him out. He brought a bunch of classmates, didn't he? We only need to grab one."
"That's smart," Buntan agreed with a wicked smile. "He'll come running."
Shizuma raised his hand.
"Then it's settled. Seven Ninja Swordsmen—prepare to begin our operation."
Everyone nodded and began gearing up.
Meanwhile, on top of a mountain overlooking the storeroom, a lone figure stood silently.
"Shizuma has some strength… but that character of his is rotten to the core. A coup? Seriously?"
The man clicked his tongue lightly.
"And of course someone from the Hozuki clan would get dragged into this. Whatever—I'm no longer a resident of Hidden Mist. Their conflict isn't my problem."
"The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, huh…?"
His eyes narrowed, amused.
"I wonder if Naruto's kid can handle them."
With that, Suigetsu Hozuki disappeared into the night.
As night fell, the lamps in Hidden Mist Village flickered dimly.
Denki, arms full of shopping bags, happily hummed to himself while walking back toward the hotel.
Suddenly, the streetlights flickered.
And in the next instant—Denki vanished.
Only the dropped merchandise remained, swaying in the cold breeze.
Inside the luxurious hotel room—
"Sarada—woah—hey!" Boruto yelped as Sarada pinned him against the wall.
"So what if I did?" Sarada replied smugly.
Her earlier blush vanished, replaced by a mischievous smirk.
She reached out, tracing lightly along Boruto's jawline as her eyes softened.
Just as she leaned forward—just as her lips were inches from his—
rustle—
Something moved behind the curtains.
"…Seriously?"
Boruto frowned irritably and snapped:
"Who the hell is ruining my moment? When I find you I'll make you regret being born."
Across the window, a thin streak of blood slowly formed a sentence:
Your companion is in our hands. If you want to save him—come to…
Sarada squinted.
"Who got kidnapped?"
"Those idiots we beat up yesterday?" she guessed.
"No," Boruto shook his head. "Those guys are still stuck in the hospital. This is someone bigger."
Boruto closed his eyes.
When they opened again—
Jogan activated.
A blue ripple spread through his iris as the entire Hidden Mist Village unfolded like a map.
Finally, he locked onto an isolated island.
Denki and Kagura were chained there, surrounded by Shizuma and the others.
"So it's that Kisame-wannabe. Seven people… Seven blades…"
He exhaled.
"The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist."
On the island, torches flickered in the cold wind.
"Shizuma, are you sure Hokage's brat will show up?" Buntan whispered.
"If not?" Shizuma grinned.
"Then we kill him."
He gestured toward Denki.
"I've already checked. His name is Denki Kaminarimon. His father owns the Thunder Train and is currently the richest man in Konoha."
He lowered his voice, eyes filled with malice.
"If we kill him, we can ignite hatred between Konoha and Hidden Mist."
"Boss! Someone's coming!"
Hassaku pointed outward.
A lone figure approached steadily—carrying a wooden plaque on his shoulder.
Kagura and Denki struggled, desperate, muffled cries escaping behind their gags.
Shizuma stepped forward.
"So you finally came, Hokage's son."
Boruto placed the wooden plaque down beside him, leaning casually against it.
"What was your name again?" Boruto asked lazily.
"Kisame… ah whatever. Doesn't matter."
He smirked.
"Next question: who here wants to experience pain?"
Shizuma scoffed.
"Cocky brat. Before, I'll admit you weren't weak. But now with Samehada—you're dead."
"To be killed by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist—take pride. It's a worthy death."
"Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist?" Boruto repeated.
He chuckled.
"What Might Duy and Might Guy didn't finish—I'll finish."
He flipped the wooden plaque around.
Carved in bold letters:
Kicking the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist
"…What?" Buntan blinked.
"That's the cockiest shit I've ever seen."
Boruto shrugged.
"Well, now you've seen it."
"Enough talking!" Shizuma ordered.
"Hassaku — kill the Kaminarimon brat first!"
"With pleasure."
Hassaku rushed forward with the Executioner's Blade raised high—
But before he could strike—
Boruto raised one hand.
A sudden gravitational pull ripped Denki and Kagura away from their captors and straight to Boruto's side.
"What?!" Shizuma and his team froze.
Boruto then performed a transformation—
and in an instant—
he stood as Deva Path Pain.
"Kidnapping is already bad enough…" Boruto spoke in a cold, emotionless tone.
"But taking lives?"
Lightning crackled across his body.
The black cloak with red clouds swayed violently, exposing his left shoulder beneath the electricity.
Boruto's voice thundered.
"Tell me—
Are you looking down…
on Deva Path Pain?"
