Chapter 58 - When Nahida Forgot Herself

"What the hell, Nahida—what's wrong with you?!"

Just as Nahida was about to close her eyes, Lin Ze's shout rang out.

Nahida subconsciously glanced at Lin Ze.

Lin Ze was staring at her in shock.

What did he just see?Nahida actually had a look of complete world-weariness.

Even her big, bright eyes had turned into dead-fish eyes?!

"Nahida, what's wrong? Nahida? Are you okay, Nahida?!"

What happened?!

"You are…?"

Nahida's voice was filled with deep exhaustion.

She didn't know how Lin Ze got in, and she didn't even know who he was.

But she no longer wanted to think about those things. Her mind was entirely occupied by the system's explanation of the Void Star God.

She had thought that the concept of the Void Star God might be a good thing.

"I'm Lin Ze."

"It's Lin Ze—wait.You're Lin Ze?!"

Damn nothingness!

ps: I forgot to update at 3 o'clock, so I'll post two chapters in a row.

Chapter 69: Cute Nahida

He widened his eyes, staring at Lin Ze in disbelief.

What the hell was "nothingness"? Nahida completely threw that aside.

Then she realized how strange her reaction had been just now.

"Was I just affected by the Void Star God?So powerful that it can influence Teyvat across worlds…"

Thinking back to her earlier state, Nahida felt a wave of fear.

She was afraid that if she closed her eyes again, she might never break free—forever assimilated into nothingness.

"Huh? No, I didn't feel any power of destiny, nor did I sense any power from a Void Star God.From what I can tell, you were just… autistic for a moment."

After hearing her assumption, Lin Ze checked carefully. Then he spoke in exasperation.

He had originally wondered whether writing about Star Gods in his diary might actually let the people of Teyvat become destiny-walkers.

But after checking her condition in detail, he understood what the power of destiny actually was.

There was no Star God power at all!

From Lin Ze's judgment, Nahida had simply seen the Envoy of Nothingness, learned about the Void Star God, and—combined with what she had been thinking about earlier—she basically just shut herself down.

"Just pure autism?"

Nahida looked at Lin Ze suspiciously and asked again.

"Yes. Pure autism."

Lin Ze nodded.

"Haaah~ Good."

Even though she had shut down earlier, Nahida felt relieved.

So she was just autistic—not influenced by some Star God across worlds.

Lin Ze opened his diary again.

[I came to see Nahida and found her deep in thought. After seeing the concept of the Void Star God, she went autistic.]

[I need to remind everyone: without Star Gods, Teyvat cannot walk the path of destiny.]

[You can understand it, but don't take it seriously.]

[It would be funny if someone else became autistic too.]

[I just happened to visit Nahida. I don't know which one of you is next.]

To be safe, Lin Ze decided to leave a warning in the diary.

Besides Nahida, there might be others who, after learning about Star Gods, would try to walk the path of destiny… or just become autistic.

Lin Ze expressed that he would not take responsibility for that at all.

"I can't walk the path of destiny…Good thing I didn't try."

"Nothingness… huh?No Star Gods in Teyvat? No path to destiny?!To hell with nothingness!"

"…Damn it, how could I have sunk that low earlier?!"

Lin Ze's warning was surprisingly effective.

It wasn't only those with Visions who had copies of Lin Ze's diary.

Some ordinary people were also attempting to embark on the destiny path.

For example—Zhiqiong.

After seeing the Void Envoy and learning about the Void Star God, Zhiqiong deeply regretted it.

He had actually tried walking the path of destiny, but since Teyvat couldn't walk that path, he wisely gave up.

Let the Void Star God go to hell.

"Thank you, Mr. Lin Ze. There are also people in Sumeru who don't have Visions. Now we don't have to worry about them."

Nahida also noticed the new entries in the diary.

She fully relaxed, and the power gathering in her hands faded instantly.

Just moments ago, she had been ready to forcefully control the Akasha Terminal to warn anyone trying to move toward destiny.

"That's not necessary. I was just thinking too much.Anyway… how about you come out first?"

Lin Ze waved his hand and looked at Nahida, who was still trapped inside the energy sphere.

He wasn't sure what she was thinking, and if she didn't want to come out, opening an exit wouldn't matter.

"Please excuse me, Mr. Lin Ze. This is a device the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata used during meditation.I don't know how to open it."

Nahida wanted to come out to show respect to Lin Ze—but she couldn't.

She genuinely didn't know how to open the device.

But as soon as she finished speaking, Lin Ze opened an exit directly.

It was just an energy construct. It could trap Nahida, but not Lin Ze.

"Thank you, Mr. Lin Ze."

Following the exit, Nahida stepped out of the meditation device and lowered her little hand with a small wave.

Under Lin Ze's gaze, Dendro energy gathered into vines that intertwined, forming a small table and two small stools.

"Mr. Lin Ze came to visit, and I should entertain you.But the food I prepared during my last excursion has spoiled.I don't need to eat, and there is nothing in the Palace of Jingshan that can be used to host you. Please forgive me."

After adjusting to being back on solid ground, Nahida sat before Lin Ze and apologized.

Not long ago, she had used some of her leaked elemental power to control the guards outside and buy some supplies.

But several days had passed, the food had spoiled, and though the tea hadn't gone bad, the water had.

She did not need to eat, and the Akademiya had never delivered food—so she truly had nothing to offer Lin Ze.

"Aren't you the God of Dendro? If you can condense vines with energy, you can also make them bloom and bear fruit. You should be able to produce wild fruit, right?"

Lin Ze shook his head. He didn't take out his own provisions—he reminded her.

Nahida had been confined for too long and had momentarily forgotten her natural control of elemental power as a god.

As the Dendro Archon, how could she not be able to make plants grow fruits?

Of course she could—she just hadn't thought of it.

"I've been taught."

Nahida regained focus. Dendro energy gathered, and soon raspberries, apples, and peaches grew from the vines.

Looking at the fruits, she picked up a peach and tasted it. Sweet and delicious—a satisfied smile bloomed across her face.
