Chapter 115 - Watching Rian

Inside the three-faction meeting room stood Azazel, a tall man who appeared to be in his late twenties, with a medium build.

Azazel had black hair with blonde bangs and a thin black beard lining his chin.

He wore a maroon long coat with a V-shaped high collar that flared open at the ends.

Two black belts wrapped around his waist, while four black straps decorated each sleeve—two at the wrists and two near the elbows. He paired it with gray trousers and brown shoes.

A faint, crooked smile sat on Azazel's face as he muttered quietly, "Uwah… that's pretty scary. A human who can defeat Kokabiel so easily."

Not far from him stood Michael: a handsome man with long blond hair and sharp green eyes.

Michael wore a red robe over a white alb, complemented by golden shoulder guards and a white sash.

Above his head, the golden halo of the Angel race glowed gently, emphasizing his authority.

Beside Michael, Irina stood straight, her gaze fixed seriously on Rian outside. Her brows were slightly furrowed, yet her eyes glittered with sharp vigilance.

"That person… he's not like a human. What is that movement?" Irina whispered, both amazed and horrified. "Even an Exorcist couldn't pull off something like that."

Near her, Xenovia stood with Durandal gripped tightly in her hand, her expression a mix of awe and caution.

Durandal itself was a massive sword with a unique design—its blade was blue, its edges lined in gold.

The sword featured a half-circle guard on the left side extending nearly to the pommel, along with a small protrusion on the right side of the hilt.

Measured from the tip of the blade, Durandal was slightly taller than Xenovia, surpassing her height by a few centimeters.

"That's… like a human who's surpassed his limits," Xenovia murmured. "No matter how many times I see it… it's still impressive."

Meanwhile, Sirzechs tilted his head slightly as he observed Rian through the window, his blue-green eyes filled with respect—tinged with a hint of puzzlement.

"From the beginning, I've always wondered," Sirzechs murmured in a contemplative tone, "How can that human be so strong… without becoming a Reincarnated Devil, and without a Sacred Gear?"

Grayfia stood calmly beside Sirzechs, her hands folded neatly in front of her.

Her silver eyes were focused, as if contemplating something profound, yet her expression remained unshaken.

A few moments later, Grayfia finally spoke. "He is indeed a strange human."

Sirzechs glanced her way, then closed his eyes with a faint smile. "I agree. And that's exactly what makes him unique."

"Oh?" Grayfia turned slightly, looking at her husband. "Do you intend to make him a Reincarnated Devil?"

Sirzechs let out a soft chuckle, opening his eyes again as he replied lightly, "That seems impossible."

While Sirzechs and Grayfia conversed, in the same room, Kiba, Sona, and Tsubaki observed the scene intently.

Kiba looked serious, his body leaning forward slightly, ready to react at any moment.

Sona closed her eyes for a moment, taking a long breath to calm herself, while Tsubaki held her breath, her shoulders tense from the sudden pressure in the room.

Not far from them, Serafall stood with a faint smile tugging at her lips, her eyes narrowing slightly as she calmly yet calculatingly watched Rian through the window.

"Even though he's human… Rian is incredibly strong," she thought, "and with that personality of his… pairing him with So-tan was the best decision."

The thought alone made Serafall smile quietly. It wasn't without reason—she truly believed that Rian fit Sona well.

Especially after what happened two days ago, when Serafall herself had witnessed the way Rian thought, acted, and even joked—everything about him only made him even more intriguing.

On a more personal note, Serafall felt that only someone as "unique" as Rian could balance Sona's personality.

"It's just that… Rian is far too flirtatious with other women," Serafall muttered with a small pout. "So-tan will have to keep an eye on him…"

Without realizing it, as she focused too much on Rian, Serafall had already begun forming her own personal plan: arranging a marriage between Sona and Rian.

Parental approval? Serafall considered that a guaranteed 1000% yes. Budget? Completely irrelevant for a Maou and a noble of the Sitri household.

Countless ideas flashed rapidly through her mind—wedding concepts, venues, catering, and even the honeymoon.

Of course, the most important part was the honeymoon location, which must be under Serafall Leviathan's ultra-strict supervision.

To her, that was an absolute, non-negotiable requirement.

Suddenly, in the middle of the room, a magic circle appeared on the floor. Dark purple light swirled rapidly, forming symbols that were instantly familiar to both Sirzechs and Serafall.

Their eyes locked onto the circle, as if recognizing the energy flowing from it.

The circle radiated a strong aura, causing the hair and clothes of those closest to it to rustle softly in the magical wind.

The atmosphere in the room instantly fell silent, the only sound being the swirling magical energy growing louder—signaling that something significant was about to happen.

Some time before the teleportation magic circle appeared in the three-faction meeting room…

Elsewhere, Rian finally paused his relentless slaughter of the endlessly appearing Khaos Brigade members.

Around 200 people had fallen to his blade—all humans, Khaos Brigade sorcerers who kept emerging from the teleportation circles.

With that, Rian's total EXP gain had reached roughly 4,000 points.

"They really are quality EXP targets," Rian muttered calmly, standing in the open area of Kuoh Academy.

It wasn't without reason that he could stand so relaxed. The Khaos Brigade members were now nowhere to be seen—or at least, for the time being.

Rian then lifted his head and looked at Vali, still hovering calmly nearby in his Scala Mail armor.

He wondered what exactly that battle-obsessed kid was thinking. To Rian, Vali's pose just looked like showy, over-the-top theatrics.

"That kid's got a chuuni syndrome, huh… just like Gabriel, my orphanage little brother?" Rian murmured in curiosity.

"Heh, Vali's version is like… I have the White Dragon Emperor in my body. Well… technically true, so I can't really argue with that."

Even while staying focused on his surroundings, Rian let out a sigh, filled with nostalgia for the memories of his younger siblings at the orphanage.

Not long after, the teleportation magic circle reactivated, summoning Khaos Brigade members one by one.

Thus, the next round began—the slaughter resumed. Rian shot forward faster than the blink of an eye, ready to cut them down without mercy.

Soon after, having slain 50 Khaos Brigade members coinciding with the appearance of a teleportation circle in the three-faction meeting room, Rian halted once again.

This time, however, it wasn't because the enemies had stopped appearing, but because his Six Eyes detected an extremely familiar aura.

The Khaos Brigade members immediately seized the opportunity, firing a barrage of magic at Rian.

Unfortunately, it was all in vain.

Every attack vanished instantly, consumed by the infinite array of Infinity.

Amidst the rain of magic, Rian remained perfectly calm. To him, no matter how strong their attacks were, not a single one could breach his defenses.

Even so, the Khaos Brigade members kept firing, perhaps hoping that Rian's barrier had a limit and would eventually break.

Above, Vali, still hovering in his Scala Mail armor, watched Rian with a mixture of confusion and curiosity.

"Hmm?" Rian murmured softly, his eyebrows slightly raised. "Ophis' aura? …Ah, more precisely, her blessing."

He shrugged casually and said, "Well… just like what's inside the wizard I just slaughtered earlier.

"Perhaps that's why I'm gaining such abundant EXP," Rian added with a faint smile. "Ophis-chan really is kind!"

At that moment, a massive explosion rocked the building where the three-faction meeting was taking place.

The blast was so intense that the entire structure collapsed into rubble.

Hearing the explosion, Rian turned his gaze toward its source. In the next instant, he raised his right hand, extending it to shoulder height.

"Cursed Technique Lapse – Maximum Cursed Energy Output: Blue."

Instantly, right before the palm of his hand, a point of convergence appeared, manifesting into a bright blue sphere.

Its diameter started the size of a baseball, then gradually expanded to that of a basketball.

With a single, fluid movement of his right hand, as graceful as a dance, the bright blue sphere shot forward, obliterating the remaining Khaos Brigade members who were still firing magic at him.

Unable to resist, flee, or react in any way, their lives were instantly snuffed out by the sphere.

At Blue's maximum output, Rian drew in the surrounding matter, twisting the space around their bodies as if creating a miniature black hole that devoured everything.

Sorry everyone, I haven't updated the latest chapter because my brain suddenly cramped after the marathon 🤣

Oh... by the way, I'm currently working on another fanfic, this time with a Chuunibyou MC. Just wait, and maybe... it will be updated less frequently because I'm focusing on this one first.
