Ai Tutu didn't believe Mo Fan could possibly win, so she confidently declared, "If Sister Mu, that guy, you'll respectfully call me Sister Tu Tu from now on!"
Song Jie smiled. "Alright, and if you lose?"
"You decide!"
Song Jie chuckled lightly. "Okay then — if you lose, you'll give me a kiss."
"You...!" Ai Tutu pointed at Song Jie in frustration, but after thinking for a moment, she snorted.
Since there was no way Mu Nujiao could lose, she didn't care. "Fine!"
The bet was set.
Meanwhile, Mu Nujiao had already stepped onto the arena, instantly drawing a crowd.
"It's Mu Nujiao! She's really going up!"
"I didn't expect her to take part too!"
"Finally, that arrogant guy's going to lose!"
The stands buzzed with excitement. Ai Tutu puffed out her chest proudly, acting as if victory was already guaranteed.
Song Jie turned to glance at her and noticed that the buttons on her chest were about to pop off. He smirked but didn't bother watching too closely — he already knew how this battle would end.
When Mu Nujiao revealed her dual-element Intermediate-level cultivation and used her Plant Element to restrain Mo Fan, Ai Tutu's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Didn't I tell you? That guy is no match for Sister Mu!" she said proudly.
"Don't celebrate too early," Song Jie replied with a calm smile, knowing this exact scene by heart.
"What? Trying to back out now?" Ai Tutu huffed.
Song Jie didn't argue. He just tilted his head toward the arena. "Keep watching."
Ai Tutu rolled her eyes and turned back toward the match — only to freeze in shock a moment later.
"What's going on!? Wasn't he just restrained by Sister Mu?" she shouted in disbelief.
Everyone saw it clearly — a crackle of lightning appeared in Mo Fan's hand!
He could defeat Mu Nujiao instantly if he wanted to.
Mu Nujiao's eyes widened. "You're... a Shadow Element Mage?"
Mo Fan smirked. "That's none of your business."
Though she was unwilling to admit defeat, Mu Nujiao knew if she moved now, she'd lose instantly. The outcome was already decided.
She had lost.
Ai Tutu stared blankly, unable to accept what she was seeing. Mu Nujiao, the one she trusted completely, had actually lost to that guy!
Song Jie quietly shifted his seat closer until he was right beside Ai Tutu.
"What are you doing?" she asked, leaning away from him warily.
"Didn't we make a bet just now? What, are you trying to back out?" Song Jie threw her earlier words back at her, his tone playful.
Ai Tutu clenched her small fists tightly, speechless. She wanted to argue but couldn't find a single word to say.
Song Jie leaned in with a teasing smile. "If you don't kiss me, then I'll just have to kiss you."
"You...!" Ai Tutu trembled with anger, her face flushing red.
"We agreed before," Song Jie said lazily. "It's too late to go back now. I thought you were someone who kept her word, but I guess not. Maybe your whole family's the same way."
That hit her hard.
Ai Tutu's family came from a military noble line — honor and integrity were their pride. Hearing Song Jie insult her family's reputation made her blood boil.
Her nails dug into her palms as she snapped, "Fine! Kiss then! I'm not afraid of you!"
Song Jie smiled faintly, already knowing he'd won.
"Close your eyes," Ai Tutu muttered.
He did — and the next second, she leaned forward and pressed her soft red lips firmly against his cheek.
The touch was light, cool, and fleeting — but it left a lasting mark.
The students around them erupted.
"He sat with Goddess Mu Nujiao, and now he's getting kissed by Ai Tutu too!?"
"This is too much!"
"My big-chested goddess fell for him too!?"
Jealous cries filled the air, but none of them dared to approach Song Jie — not after knowing who he was.
Ai Tutu, her face scarlet, quickly stood up and stormed off. She couldn't bear to stay a moment longer.
A short while later, Mu Nujiao returned from the arena looking a little dazed.
"Where's Tu Tu?" she asked.
Song Jie looked around innocently. "No idea. She disappeared right after you lost."
Mu Nujiao frowned but didn't dwell on it. She sat down beside him and glanced his way.
"How did you know Mo Fan would challenge two hundred people?"
"Because I know him," Song Jie said calmly. "I know exactly what kind of person he is."
"You know him?"
Song Jie nodded and briefly told her about their days as high school classmates.
"So you two really were classmates!" Mu Nujiao said, finally understanding.
Song Jie smiled faintly and leaned a little closer. "Do you want to know how you lost?"
Mu Nujiao blinked. "Yes," she said softly, curious despite herself.
"Then kiss me," Song Jie whispered.
Mu Nujiao's pretty face instantly flushed bright red. In broad daylight — he actually dared to say such a thing!
"If you miss this chance, you won't get another," he teased.
"Can't we trade for something else?" Mu Nujiao asked weakly, though her curiosity was obvious.
Song Jie grinned. "Well, it might rain tonight. If we go out, we might get stuck and have to spend the night somewhere... what do you think?"
Even though Mu Nujiao was inexperienced, she understood perfectly what he meant. Her heart pounded wildly.
"Come on," Song Jie said softly. "No one's looking."
He leaned forward expectantly.
Mu Nujiao hesitated, her palms slick with sweat. She stared at him for a moment, her lips trembling — then finally leaned forward.
But at the very last second, Song Jie suddenly turned his head — and their lips met directly.
Mu Nujiao froze, eyes wide, then immediately pulled back, her face burning. She reached out and pinched him hard!
All around them, boys wailed in despair.
"Why don't you just kill us and get it over with!?"
"He got Ai Tutu and Mu Nujiao! Mouth-to-mouth!!"
"Our goddesses… both gone!"
Tears streamed down countless faces.
One kiss was bad enough — but two? That was soul-crushing.
A group of boys nearby were still sobbing when someone muttered, "Why are they crying so loudly? Even if they lost resources, it's not that serious."
Another boy replied miserably, "Didn't you hear? Their goddess got kissed… mouth to mouth!"
"What!?"
And soon, even more tears flowed.
This heartbreak hurt a hundred times worse than losing cultivation resources to the Summoning Element.
