Chapter 112 - Chapter 112: Crushing the Weak

Chapter 112: Crushing the Weak

Dana stood on a large tree, looking down at the enemies below. After a moment, the Root ninja awkwardly looked away.

Who's the real Root here?

Compared to them, the calm and collected Dana was clearly in a different league. A strong psychological fortitude is a must for a ninja.

He had just gotten back to the compound and was in the middle of a shower. He had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that the scroll he had given to Hiroto and Kayo had been activated, and in the blink of an eye, he was here.

From their attire, they were likely Konoha ANBU. How had Kayo gotten into a fight with them? And who was this other Uzumaki he was holding? It was all a mystery.

Oh, and he was still a bit... foggy. The shampoo foam was still in his hair.

He remembered that when he had gotten back to the compound, someone had told him to go to the Raikage's tower after his shower, that there was something important. He hadn't had a chance to go yet.

"Kayo," he said, his voice low, "where are we? What happened?"

But she didn't answer his question.

"Ah! So strong! So muscular! So powerful! Lick, lick!"

"Wait! Kayo! That tickles! Stop messing around! Tell me what's going on!"

Just then, Kushina also came to. She opened her eyes, then immediately blushed and closed them again.

But before Dana could figure out what was going on, the Root ninja below had already recognized him.

"Yotsuki Dana... the genius of the Cloud... the strongest new star of the ninja world..."

"Thank you for not adding the 'super' part," Dana said. "Now, if you don't mind, we'll be leaving."

"No, Onii-chan Dana!" Kayo said quickly. "The mission has gone wrong! The Raikage and the reinforcements didn't arrive! Lord Blue Bee and my brother and the others might be in danger! I heard the Third and Fourth Hokage are after them!"

A cold glint appeared in Dana's eyes. Though he still didn't have the full picture, he knew the situation was urgent.

"You can give me the details later," he said. "For now, we just have to deal with them, right?"

"Be careful, Onii-chan Dana! There are a lot of them!" Kayo said, worried.

"Don't worry," he said, his voice grim. "But first things first."

"What is it?"

"...Get me some clothes. Do you have a spare set?"

"Hey, hey! Did you just hesitate?!"

"Um, I only have a cloak. Do you want it, Onii-chan Dana?"

"What's the point of a cloak in this situation?!"

"Oh, right! I have a pair of pants too!"

Dana put the two of them down and quickly put on the pants. He felt much better.

The Root ninja, seeing that the man who was surrounded was acting so nonchalant, were furious. "Yotsuki Dana," one of them snarled, "are you looking down on us?!"

Kushina finally dared to open her eyes. This guy who had just appeared didn't seem to be the least bit nervous. Where did he get his confidence from? Was this the lifesaver Kayo had been talking about? So arrogant.

One of the Root ninja couldn't take it anymore. He threw a kunai. But the next moment, a gust of wind, and Dana, who had been in the tree, was suddenly in front of him. He had caught the kunai in mid-air. It had barely traveled two meters.

It wasn't a Body Flicker. It was pure, physical speed. After absorbing a large amount of natural energy, his physical strength had grown even greater.

What kind of speed is this? was the Root ninja's last thought.

The next moment, the kunai he had just thrown was embedded in his own neck.

"Kill him!" the leader of the group shouted.

One of them, likely from the Inuzuka clan, had his ninja hound grow to a massive size and charge at Dana.

"Too slow." He kicked the giant dog, sending it flying with a whimper. Its owner soon followed.

He moved through them as if they weren't there. No one could even touch the hem of his clothes. His monstrous speed and reflexes made the ordinary ninja no threat to him at all.

In the tree, Kayo's eyes were shining with admiration. "Onii-chan Dana is the best!"

Kushina was in a state of shock. So this is the power of the strongest new star of the ninja world.

Dana had no time for pleasantries. In his "pulse" vision, he could already see the situation on Blue Bee's side. It was not good. He had to end this quickly.

A ninja is a glass cannon, relying on speed and misdirection. When they are outmatched in both, they are helpless. The White Fang and the future Minato Namikaze had both made their names this way. And Dana was even more so.

An Aburame ninja tried to release his insects, but before he could, a hand grabbed his face. Dana slammed his head into the ground, and a burst of lightning from his palm electrocuted the countless insects still inside their host.

"Disgusting."

The next moment, he was back in the tree, fending off a ninja who was trying to sneak up on Kayo, taking his sword and pinning him to the tree with it.

The entire battle lasted less than three minutes. The dozen or so Root ninja, including several Jonin-level fighters, were all taken down.

He returned to the tree. "The situation on Blue Bee's side is not good," he said to Kayo. "I have to go. What's your plan?"

Kayo didn't know what to say. She had no plan. Her plan had already gone completely off the rails. According to the plan, after she had handed over the Jinchuriki, she was supposed to just stand on the sidelines and cheer.

She quickly explained the mission to him, emphasizing the part about the Heavenly Transfer Jutsu going wrong.

Dana felt a headache coming on. Not to mention Blue Bee's situation, he was also worried about his father. He didn't know what kind of preparations they had made, but using the Heavenly Transfer Jutsu to transport people was still a very dangerous thing.

He looked at Kushina. So this red-haired girl really was her. And the Nine-Tails inside her...

Kayo subtly moved to block his view. "Um, Onii-chan Dana," she said, "I've already talked to her. She doesn't have any family in Konoha. She's willing to come to the Cloud with us. The Nine-Tails is the strongest of the tailed beasts, isn't it? That's great, hahaha."

Kushina could see that she was trying to protect her. She hesitated for a moment, then said nothing.

Dana was silent for a moment, then said to Kayo, "Take her and head for the island turtle. It might not surface to meet you, but just keep moving around on the sea. Don't stop."

He knew that extracting the Nine-Tails and creating a rampage was a simple, brutal way to escape. But the situation was not yet that desperate. That was a last resort. And if Kushina was willing to come to the Cloud, that was a much better outcome for the village.

He certainly didn't have time to escort two girls. After giving his orders, he sped off in Blue Bee's direction.
