Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 15: SPILLING THE BEANS

As the brutal punishment took its toll, Ethan's body succumbed to the pain, and he drifted into unconsciousness, his fate hanging precariously in the balance.

"Such a troublesome child, he'll be the death of us all if we let him," Louis said with righteous indignation.

London's frustration was palpable as he gazed at Ethan's unconscious form, and with a dismissive tone, he said to the bodyguards, "Take him to the hospital, dump him at the entrance, and leave his stupid ass there. But do it discreetly."

The bodyguards nodded, accustomed to following orders without question, and lifted Ethan's limp body, carrying him out of the estate as Louis and London watched with a mixture of disdain and worry.

"What if he talks?" Louis asked, his voice low and cautious.

London's expression didn't change, his eyes fixed on the departing bodyguards. "He won't. He's got too much to lose. Besides, he's not stupid. He knows what happens to people who cross us."

Louis nodded, though his eyes still held a glimmer of doubt. "I hope you're right, Father."

London's gaze snapped to Louis, his eyes cold. "I am right, Louis. Remember that."

"You two are talking about him like he's not even part of the family. Just calm down," Krista said with a sigh.

"Mom, Ethan's lucky I don't hand him over to the Wrights myself," Rachel said with an angry look.

"I agree with My mother, Grandma Ethan's being reckless. If he wanted David dead, he should've hired someone to do it, then taken care of them too. That way, there's no connection back to us," Mia said with a sly smile.

Krista smiled, looking pleased. "You've got a sharp mind, kiddo. You're a true chip off the old block."she said with a sneer.

"Damnit! I need a drink, someone bring me whisky and El Dorado on the rocks," London shouted.

"Grandfather, you're not really going to drink that," Benjamin asked, concern etched on his face.

"Yes, I am," London replied, his voice firm.

Shortly after, three butlers appeared - one carrying a bucket of ice, another with three bottles of El Dorado, and the third with bottles of whiskey. The fourth one was carrying champagne glasses for everyone.

"Now, then, who's going to join me in having a drink?" London asked, his eyes scanning the room.

"I'll join you, Father, but I'm not drinking that. I want Absolute vodka," Louis said, his voice clear.

Very well, then bring out the mobile bar," London said, clapping his hands. A fifth butler appeared, pressing a button on the wall, and it transformed into a mobile bar. He stood behind it, asking."The butler asked, "What's your drink of choice, please?""

They all gathered 'round and set up as the butler took their drink orders, one by one.

Meanwhile, Upon arrival at the station, the suspects were swiftly booked and separated into individual interrogation rooms, their processing underway.

"Excellent work, Detectives and Agents," Captain Larcon said, beaming with pride. "So, who are you planning to start with?"

"I was thinking we should start with Kyle Watson and Josa Hanson," Alvin said with a frown. "After all, they're both wanted for murder." He continued.

"Let's get this started," Decker said, as he and Alvin entered the interrogation room. Across the hall, Agent Wayne and Agent Williams joined Captain Larcon in the observation room, their eyes fixed on the one-way mirror as they watched Kyle Watson shift uncomfortably in his seat.

Goodnight to you, Mr. Kyle Watson. My name is Detective Decker, and this is my partner, Detective Alvin. Now that we have gotten the introductions out of the way, we have a few questions we need to ask. Decker said, taking a seat and dropping a file on the table.

"Oink, oink, I smell bacon. Wow, this is incredible. This is so amazing. I had no idea that pigs could talk," Kyle Watson said with a mocking smile.

"Yeah, laugh it up now, but your ass is going straight to jail if you don't cooperate with us," Alvin said with a frown.

"Oink, oink. What was that, piggy? I didn't hear you. I didn't order hog chops for dinner," Kyle said with a sneer.

"Wow, you are pretty damn arrogant for someone who's facing serious jail time. I read your criminal files. You are wanted for murder. You are the primary suspect in Melissa Stockman's, your ex-girlfriend's, death. Witnesses saw two people at the crime scene, and guess what? One matching your description perfectly. So, Mr. Smartass, what do you have to say for yourself now?" Alvin said, a hint of anger on his face.

"That's a lie. I didn't kill Melissa. She was the love of my life. I loved her," Kyle said, tears in his eyes.

"Sure, that's what they all say. You loved her, she was the love of your life. Oh, please don't give me that BS," Alvin said, rolling his eyes.

Decker coughed. "Anyway, we didn't bring you here to talk about your dead ex-girlfriend. We brought you here for something else," he said.

"Man, Decker, you are very harsh. You didn't have to say 'his dead ex-girlfriend' like that," Alvin said with a sigh.

"No, I am not being harsh. I'm interrogating a suspect. I'm not here to hold his hand. I'm here to get the truth," Decker replied.

"Now, tell me, Kyle, do you know this young man in this photo?" Decker asked, sliding a photo of David Wright over to Kyle.

When he saw the photo of David, he flinched before speaking. "I've never seen that dead man a day in my life. It looks like some spoiled rich kid," Kyle said.

Decker chuckled. "You know what I find funny? You say you never saw him before, but yet you and your pals were driving around in his car. Also, who told you he was dead? Maybe he is in the hospital recovering," Decker said with a smile.

"Oh, please. Give me a break, piggy. I was there when David Wright was shot. I saw him slump to the ground dead. But of course I'm not gonna tell you that. But nice try, trying to make me think he's still alive," Kyle said with a satisfied smile until he realized he was talking out loud.

"Wait! I...I...I didn't mean to say any of that. You forced me into confessing," he stammered.

"No, we didn't. We just showed you a picture, and you started talking. And now, you're going down for murder in the first degree," Alvin said as he and Decker got up and left the room.

As Decker and Alvin left the room, they were greeted by Agent Wayne, Agent Williams, and Captain Larcon.

"You guys were incredible. How did you get him to crack so fast? You didn't even need to interrogate the other suspects," Agent Williams asked in astonishment.

"Well, it was easy, really. Make them think that calling us 'piggies' gets under our skin, and they'll sing like a canary when they get overconfident," Decker said with satisfaction.

"That is an excellent tactic, Detectives. However, you questioned my client without a lawyer present," a handsome young man dressed in a tailored black suit and a red tie that looked like a snake said as he strolled into the police station.

"And who might you be, my good sir?" Captain Larcon asked, looking at the man with great curiosity.

"My name is Shadow Snake. I am an attorney, and I'm here to represent my five clients, whom you have arrested," Shadow Snake said, handing Larcon a business card.
