Chapter 51 - Chapter 50: Negative Ghost Invalidation? Zoro’s Words

"Hey, don't give me orders!" Perona floated in the air, holding her burgundy umbrella.

Her chest rose and fell rapidly, and her beautiful face was full of anger.

She hated being ordered around more than anything!

Lately, the green-haired lost idiot and the world's greatest swordsman, Hawkeye Mihawk, had constantly been giving her commands.

And now, this man who had just appeared actually tried to order her!

This was no fun at all.

"Ms. Ghost, I'm ordering you! Go!" Victor deliberately put on a cold expression.

At this point, he had already received the system reward: Skill—Passive Immunity. Even if he angered the ghost princess, he wouldn't panic at all.

"Ahh! I'm so angry! Such a cold-blooded order! Is a 2.1 billion bounty really that great? I'll show you the power of the Negative Ghost!"

Perona glared at Victor, her patience snapping. She wanted this man with a 2.1 billion bounty to feel just how powerful she really was.

Negative Ghost!

Perona waved her jade hand, summoning a transparent ghost with a long tongue and strange appearance.

As soon as it appeared, it radiated pure pessimism and charged straight at Victor.

Victor didn't dodge or evade. He seemed completely unafraid.

"Hey! Be careful, this ghost is very evil!" Zoro couldn't help but warn him.

In the past few days, he had been tortured by Perona's Negative Ghost and knew how dangerous it could be.

"Hmph! Mr. Green-haired, directionally challenged man, you better watch out. Next time you order others around, I'll make sure you feel negative for the entire day!"

Perona also shot Zoro a sharp glance. But for Victor, the man with a 2.1 billion bounty, she doubted he could be affected at all.

She had acted in anger, but deep down… she was afraid.

Yet this man neither dodged nor attacked. He just looked down on her Negative Ghost.

Except for the long-nosed man who was extremely negative, the Negative Ghost had never failed… until now.

Swish!

The transparent Negative Ghost passed through Victor's body.

He only felt a cool breeze sweep from his abdomen to his back. Slippery, very cool—but that was all.

Skill: Negativity Immunity directly neutralized all the ghost's negative energy.

One second…

Two seconds…

Five seconds…

Ten seconds…

"I say, did you use the wrong ghost? Why didn't he react?" Zoro was completely confused.

Anyone else would immediately be trapped in a negative state, so why wasn't Victor affected?

"Impossible! How could it fail?! Try it yourself, you lost idiot!" Perona was also dumbfounded.

This young man with a 2.1 billion bounty radiated immense confidence. Shouldn't the ghost's effect be stronger against him?

To test him further, Perona summoned another Negative Ghost—but this time, she used Zoro as the test subject.

The ghost passed through Zoro without mercy.

"I'm sorry! I shouldn't have questioned your ability!"

Zoro immediately felt unwell. He lay on the ground with a sad, negative expression, apologizing to Perona respectfully.

"Hey! Stop it, you bastard! Don't let that ghost near me again!"

Once the effect wore off, Zoro flew into a rage. Using him as an experiment? Impossible! He wanted to tear Perona apart.

Victor couldn't help laughing. Even the mighty Zoro had no standing against Perona.

"Ha ha ha ha! I told you, nothing can go wrong with my precious ghost. You're just being negative!"

Perona, in turn, summoned ten Negative Ghosts in a row, all charging at Victor.

"Ms. Ghost, can you smile properly? It's a bit creepy!" Victor let the ghosts pass through him one by one.

Setting aside their negative abilities, the feeling of their passing was almost like a massage—somewhat comfortable.

"Ah! How is this possible?! How could my ghost not work?!"

Perona's feet turned inward in frustration. Her ten ghosts had no effect at all.

Zoro was equally confused. Why wasn't Victor affected? Isn't this something only Usopp could normally resist?!

"Hey! Miss Ghost, are you coming? If you summon ten or twenty more, maybe it'll work!?"

Victor glanced at the floating girl with a wicked smile.

Of course, he had no evil thoughts—only Hancock in his heart. He simply found ghost massages surprisingly comfortable.

Perona and Zoro: ...…

Perona now fully understood: her Negative Ghosts had no effect on this young man. But it wasn't surprising—after all, he was a super rookie with a 2.1 billion bounty, the same man who dared to break into Marineford.

She and the green-haired idiot swordsman were no match. She had to find help.

Perona made up her mind. Fearing Victor might attack her, she quickly turned and flew toward the castle where Hawkeye Mihawk awaited.

Victor naturally didn't stop her. He had already sensed Mihawk's presence, and Perona would be able to meet him on the way back.

Taking advantage of the moment, Victor planned to trick Sauron.

"Roronoa Zoro, I told you this baboon is no good. He can't even withstand one of my attacks. We are both Three-Sword Style swordsmen. You've seen my swordsmanship, right? How about I teach you?"

"Well… your Three-Sword Style is stronger than mine, but don't think I don't know you rely on your thunder ability. Swordsmanship is just a supplement for you.

Compared to this, do you know Luffy? Straw Hat Luffy! He's my captain! I am from the Straw Hat Pirates!"

Zoro's words surprised Victor.

He hadn't expected Zoro to see through his fighting style, noticing that he leaned heavily on his lightning ability.

Moreover, when Zoro mentioned Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, his eyes shone with admiration.

Victor realized it was almost impossible to poach Zoro. The bond between Zoro and Luffy, like the bond between him and Hancock, could never be broken.

At that moment, the world's greatest swordsman, Hawkeye Mihawk, arrived with the ghost princess, Perona.
