Rion stared at Haria with wide eyes, the sunlight touched her trained figure as if the sun itself was decorating her in its golden glow.
'Damn... no wonder the fellow readers used to die hard for them,' he thought as he scanned her as much as he could with his tiny eyes, 'I do get the appeal. But... sadly, those rom coms have inspired me to search for true love instead of just physical looks.'
Haria lowered her head and found out that Rion was staring at her. She stuck out her tongue and showed it to him before she pointed at him and asked, "What's the name of this lad?"
Lara looked at Rion, caressed his head and face with her palm and responded, "Rion."
"Rion?" Haria asked with a raised eyebrow, and Lara replied to her with a faint nod.
Haria's lips curved into a grin as she muttered while chuckling, "To think he would name his son Rion after kidnapping a princess."
Lara also let out a chuckle, and seeing both of them chuckle, Rion also began — or tried— to laugh.
"Bwa! Bwa!"
Haria's grin widened upon hearing his soft chuckle. She looked at Lara with pleading eyes and requested, "Can I hold him for a moment?"
Lara's smile vanished, she shifted her gaze between her child and the woman before him, and after thinking about it for a few seconds, she handed Rion to her as she spoke softly, "Be careful," right after, "Don't drop him, alright? Ah- support his neck!"
"I know, I know..." Haria replied with of shake of her head as she held him in her arms. She looked at Lara and spoke while rolling her eyes, "This is not my first time holding a child, so just calm down, princess."
Lara gave her a nod, but her eyes were locked onto Rion, who had closed his eyes.
'Love, not lust! Love, not lust! Lust not w-wait wrong!' Rion chanted in his mind as he felt her hard yet soft muscles wrap around him in a protective embrace.
Seeing him close his eyes, Lara let out a chuckle and commented, "I think he is scared of you."
Haria snorted at her and replied while puffing out her chest, "He closed them because he wants to feel my embrace from his heart."
"Mom! Take me away from her!" Rion shouted, and just like before, they were nothing else than blabbers for others.
The sound of a crunch fell into their ears as Granny Nena stepped on a branch while making her way towards Lara. Her hands were behind her back as she glanced at Lara.
"Hmm? Where's the child?" She questioned after seeing her empty arms.
Lara spoke softly, "I have to go."
Haria nodded before handing Rion, who still had his eyes shut, to her. Just as he felt the familiar warmth of his mother's embrace, he opened his eyes and announced, "Haha! I survived the temptations!"
"I told you he is scared of you," Lara said as she smiled heartily. She didn't know why, but she felt a strange warmth in her heart seeing Rion acting cold to Haria. It may be jealousy or something else... but it was warm.
Haria placed her hands on her waist. She leaned forward and gave him a bittersweet look, "You are heartless, little king. Big sister just wanted to play with you."
Rion glanced at her for a moment and looked away with a single thought, he didn't know what she was talking about but he didn't want any of it.
'Whatever you are selling, I am not buying!'
Granny Nena snorted and turned around as she spoke, "Let's go."
Lara nodded and both of them began to walk towards her hut. She hadn't been there for the past five days because she and Rion had to stay at the doctor's hut.
As they walked, Rion was able to have a clear look at a few of the huts. All of them were round, and their walls were of dark red wood. The only distinguishing feature in all of them was the trinkets, fangs and other ornaments that hung from the hide that covered the roof. The hide was also not that of a wolf, bear or something he had seen other tribe's men wear.
'What kind of hide is that?' He thought as Lara continued her steps towards the left side of the settlement. A few tribe members greeted them on the way, and some of them looked at Rion with curiosity-filled eyes. Some even asked to hold him.
Soon, she neared her hut, and her eyes fell on a raven-haired man who stood near the door. Haden had his hair tied in a knot, so he looked a bit different but that didn't make him appear weak in any way.
A wide smile appeared on Lara's face upon seeing Haden, a smile which was mirrored by Rion as he looked at the green arrow a few meters before him.
'It's within the hut!' He thought.
Seeing the wide smile on Rion's face, Haden also smiled and stepped near them. He kissed Lara on the head and whispered in her ear, "You are looking beautiful."
Lara's cheeks flushed slightly as her heart pounded wildly from his praise. She handed Rion to him and softly, shyly hit Haden on his arm, "I haven't even taken a bath."
He looked at Rion, who was staring at the hut and let out a chuckle. He pulled the hut's wooden door, which creaked slightly before both of them stepped inside. As they did, Haden's departing words reached Lara's ears, "We should bathe together... I am quite good at washing specific areas."
Her face turned beet red as she quickly stepped inside. Granny Nena stared at the hut's door and turned around as she mumbled while shaking her head, "Hoh, only if I were in my prime."
Just as Haden stepped inside, a blue screen flickered before Rion's eyes.
[Ding!]

He read the message once, twice and thrice before shouting in his head, 'Motherfather, a god damn dragonslayer??'
His eyes shot towards Haden, who was hugging Lara, 'What the hell are you father...?'
He sighed inwardly before saying, 'Yes.'

Rion stared at the screen with a deadpan look as he thought in disbelief, 'My luck can't be that bad, right? Maybe... I used all of it to be reborn as the son of a dragonslayer.'
