"Tandy, don't..."
The boy's voice was soft, with a hint of suppressed hoarseness.
The girl called Tandy ignored him; her gaze was fixed on the rapidly approaching robber.
Just as the robber was about to rush past them—
A sudden change occurred.
The boy sighed.
The deep darkness on his hoodie seemed to come alive.
It silently expanded and spread.
Like a splash of ink on the ground, it instantly swallowed the boy and the ground beneath his feet.
The robber stepped into it.
There was no scream.
No struggle.
Not even a sound.
The living person vanished into thin air, as if a giant eraser had wiped him from reality.
"Tyrone!"
Tandy exclaimed in a low voice, her tone anxious and slightly reproving.
The humanoid darkness squirmed.
The next second.
The vanished robber was "spat" out again.
He lay slumped on the ground like a pile of mud.
His body trembled violently.
His eyes rolled back, and he babbled incoherently, speaking illogical nonsense.
The handbag he was carrying fell to the side.
The darkness rapidly contracted, returning to the form of the boy named Tyrone.
He gasped for breath, his body swaying, as if that brief act had consumed a tremendous amount of his energy.
Tandy immediately supported him and turned to run.
"Wait a moment."
William's voice was not loud, but it clearly reached the ears of the two children.
Tandy's body stiffened.
She turned her head, watching him warily.
Like a mother beast protecting her young.
"We didn't do anything."
"I know."
William's face once again bore his signature smile, somewhere between genuine and professional.
He waved his empty hands to show he meant no harm.
The draft of the "Asgardian Noble Earth Life Accident Insurance" was instantly torn to shreds.
Thor, Asgard—those were all future futures!
What was in front of him was the present!
It was a distressed asset that needed immediate attention!
"Your actions just now."
William's wording became very professional, as if he were conducting an on-site risk assessment.
"While your intentions were good, from a legal perspective, it involves illegal detention, emotional distress, and unauthorized use of superpowers in a public place. If any official agency takes notice, the consequences will be very troublesome."
Tandy's face paled.
Tyrone remained silent behind him, but the darkness around him seemed to stir again.
"Don't be nervous."
William's tone softened even more.
"I'm not the Police, nor am I here to cause trouble. I'm a risk consultant, specializing in providing solutions for 'special individuals' like yourselves."
He took two business cards from his briefcase and handed them over.
"You need insurance."
William looked at them, his eyes incredibly sincere.
"A 'Teenage Vigilante Accident Liability Insurance,' with an additional 'Power Loss Property Damage and Emotional Compensation Clause.'"
"It can provide legal support for your actions and handle the aftermath. And even, if necessary, provide a safe haven."
He paused, then added a crucial point:
"First month free trial. If you're not satisfied, you can cancel anytime."
Tandy Bowen's body was taut like a drawn bow, and beneath her golden short hair, her blue eyes were filled with sharp vigilance.
She shielded Tyrone behind her, like a small wildcat ready to pounce and bite.
The commotion at the street corner was escalating.
The robber, slumped on the ground, was still twitching.
He babbled incoherently like a puppet whose soul had been extracted.
Police sirens, growing louder, tore through the New York afternoon air.
"You're out of time."
William's voice remained steady, like an experienced negotiator, precisely pointing out their most vulnerable weakness.
"When the Police arrive, they will ask many questions."
"For example, why did this poor fellow end up like this? And for another, why are two homeless teenagers present at a robbery scene?"
With each word he spoke, Tandy's face grew paler.
"We have to go, Tyrone."
She urged in a low voice, pulling the boy's arm, wanting to leave.
"Then what?"
William didn't move, but his voice followed them.
"To the next block? The one after that? Continue to hide like this until one day your powers lose control again, causing irreversible consequences?"
His words pierced through Tandy's feigned strong exterior.
Tyrone's body trembled slightly, and the darkness around him seemed to grow denser.
A desperate chill emanated from the shadow of his hoodie.

William's heart was calm, and he even felt like laughing.
This service was too thoughtful.
Emergency shelter for homeless status?
Isn't this a disguised form of containment?
On his face, that professional smile became a few shades more genuine.
The Police sirens were already very close.
"Look at me."
William's voice lowered.
He no longer sounded like a salesman, but more like a Commander.
Tandy and Tyrone instinctively looked up.
"Go east, cross two streets, there's a bar called 'Josie's Bar.' Tell the bartender that William Rodriguez sent you."
He spoke extremely fast, like reciting a password.
After speaking, he suddenly turned.
He strode purposefully towards the direction from which the Police car was approaching, raising both hands high.
"Hey! Over here! I witnessed a robbery!"
He shouted with exaggerated volume, successfully attracting everyone's attention.
Including the two Police officers who had just gotten out of the Police car.
Tandy and Tyrone were both stunned.
They looked at the man's back.
He stood between them and the Police, like a wall that had suddenly appeared, buying them the most precious few seconds.
"Go!"
Tandy reacted, pulling Tyrone, and disappeared into the chaotic crowd without looking back.
William, meanwhile, was "protected" by two Police officers, one on each side, and began his most skilled performance.
"Officer, here's the situation."
He looked visibly shaken, pointing at the drooling robber on the ground.
"This guy snatched a lady's bag, ran incredibly fast, and then, for some reason, he tripped, hit his head on the ground, and ended up like this..."
"Yes, that's right, it was terrifying. Young people nowadays have really poor physical fitness."
His story was full of holes, but his expression and tone were incredibly sincere, like a frightened, enthusiastic, and slightly foolish good citizen.
"What? I'm Tony Stark's exclusive risk consultant, how could I lie? Officer, if you waste my time, I will definitely sue you with a lawyer!"
