Jenna poured her heart into her jewelry business idea with Laila, her best friend. Even though she couldn't leave the mansion freely, she sent designs through messages and sketches. Laila encouraged her to hold on, promising their store would open soon.
But one evening, as she was packaging her jewelry samples, Diana walked into her studio.
"How touching," Diana said, picking up a sketch. "The collateral wife still dreaming."
Jenna snatched it back. "Leave."
"Oh, I will," Diana said with a smirk. "But I wonder what Richard would say if he finds out you're trying to sell jewelry behind his back."
Jenna froze. "You wouldn't—"
Diana's smirk deepened. "Watch me."
That night, when Richard confronted her with the sketches, his anger was terrifying. "You're running a business? Without my permission?"
"It's just designs!" she protested. "I'm not—"
"You're lying," he snapped. "After everything, you still think you can deceive me?"
Tears blurred her eyes. "I'm not deceiving you. I'm surviving."
He turned away coldly. "Stay out of my sight."
That was the night Jenna stopped hoping.
