A year passed since the day that the Arc dorm was established by Ryoken, and from that day on he had an interesting academy life.
The dorm was known by everyone as the cool guys dorm, a place which hosted every strong duelist that was acknowledged by Ryoken personally.
If he needed an army, then they had to be the elites of the elites. This matter didn't go unnoticed by Professor Akaba and he had thought of using the students of the Arc dorm as his most prized commanders.
Since he told Ryoken about the dimensional war, he had explained a few of his plans to him, not knowing that he was basically giving his enemy free intel.
Ryoken played the role of the perfect student and Akaba's right-hand man and told him that he will train the Arc dorm to be ready to serve him as his soldiers.
He also had placed his spirits in Doktor's laboratory to hinder his work from time to time and also keep an eye on the other members of the project Quattro.
Why he didn't save them on spot like he had done with Akiza? was he a simp? no that wasn't the case.
The case with Akiza was that she herself had fled from the laboratory and later on he was given the task to take her down.
But same couldn't be applied to the other three. How would he explain that the three subjects had fled and he had beaten them in duel and making them submit to him and Akaba?
Akaba wasn't a fool, well he was a fool but not one without a brain. He would eventually realise that Ryoken was doing something behind his back, especially if he had randomly tamed all the Quattro project subjects.
He could just go and kill Akaba, or opt for a peaceful option and just contain him after destroying all of his plans. But what would happen after that?
Given that Akaba was stopped this early before even the canon story takes place, what would happen to the rest of the story? Zarc still existed and who knew what else could happen thanks to him completely changing the course of this world's fate.
Serious matters aside, his life wasn't too bad. From time to time he would ditch classes and go out of the academia, hanging out with his adopted siblings, Yuri and Serena.
Some might question how he had permission to go outside of the academia, it was all thanks to having the full trust of Akaba and also telling him that he's scouting for promising people that could serve as a good soldier in future.
As for Akiza... well he had gotten used to her living in the same room with him, sleeping with him in the same bed, going to shower together...
"Wait that hasn't happened yet, what type of drugs did you take author?"
Right that hasn't happened, yet.
"And I hope you didn't forget about me."
The author shivered seeing the smile that Medea was showing, so he decided to give her some screen time too.
Medea, being the 'kind' spirit she was, always hanged around Ryoken, weirdly enough she even got friends with Akiza.
Loving the same person and wanting to help and protect him from other thots seemed to make the two unite. Really a bizarre friendship.
Love life aside, he also made cards for certain people like Chazz, Alexis and Aster. Card's that they didn't have In the Arc-V.
For example Aster didn't have Destiny Hero Plasma, since the card wasn't made by his father and he didn't die like he did in the GX Series.
(A/N: Should I give Aster Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer or is it too OP? not like being op matters XD)
He also had used a lot of Currencies he earned to build a base in the place where in canon Yusho sakaki, Aka the protagonist's father was hiding and raising his own revolutionary army.
Speaking of Yusho, he had yet to appear in this dimension which was understandable since the fusion dimension hadn't begun its invasion.
Ryoken didn't know when exactly the attack would begin, but he guessed that he still had more than half a year to prepare.
But what a person thinks isn't always what happens in reality. Because while he was on a date with Akiza, he received a message from Akaba, asking him to come to his office.
Akiza obviously was dissatisfied with their date ending there, and promised herself that she would take revenge on Akaba one day.
Anyway, after going to Akaba's office Ryoken was met with the familiar sight of Akaba sitting behind his desk, posing like he was Aura farming.
"Hello Professor, to what reason do I owe the pleasure of meeting you?"
"Take a sit Ryoken. What I'm about to tell you is important."
Ryoken saw that Akaba was serious, so he gave a nod and sat down on a chair to Akaba's left.
"So what is it?"
"We had a breakthrough in our warping devices and can now start our plan. We'll be attacking the XYZ dimension in a week."
"In a week...?" Ryoken asked, more to himself than Akaba.
Akaba saw Ryoken's reaction and narrowed his eyes "Yes, in a week. Is that a problem?"
"No sir, I just was thinking if our soldiers are ready by then."
Akaba nodded, seeing the point in what he said "I get what you're worried about. But do not worry, I have full confidence in your ability."
He got up and approached Ryoken, putting a hand on his shoulder "Young man, never doubt yourself. Believe in yourself and don't let your judgement be clouded. If you don't believe in yourself, then believe in me that believes in you."
Any other student would have been moved by what Akaba had said. Ryoken too, if he didn't know the whole talk and this show of care was all Akaba manipulating him.
So he decided to double down and give Akaba what he wanted and fall for his 'kindness'. Ryoken smiled, something that was rare for him if it was outside of dueling.
"Thanks professor... thanks for believing in me. I never get to feel or experience the joy of having a father. You're the closest thing to one I ever had."
Akaba was stunned momentarily, almost feeling bad that he was manipulating this young boy to be his main weapon In the war.
But he then remembered his goal, his daughter who awaited him. He had to bring her back, nothing else and no one else mattered.
So he continued to manipulate him without feeling any guilt or shame.
"It makes me happy to hear that, I may not be your biological father but you remind me of my son. So the feeling is mutual."
At that night, a fake bond of father and son was formed between them, both knew it was fake. Both knew that they were manipulating the other person, but the true fool was Akaba, walking in the palm of Ryoken's hand.

And that's it for this chapter. How was it, did you guys enjoy it?
Few hours till start of the new year, so I thought might as well write a chapter as a sign of my appreciation for having a great fanbase and readers like you guys.
Saw the number of the chapters I uploaded, wish could have hit 40 number before the year ended. But the games the game.
Did the time skip cuz I plan to wrap up the fusion dimension arc in 10 chapters at most if nothing goes wrong and go to another dimension. I hope it didn't feel rushed.
Anyway see you guys later, will post a Q&A chapter after this. Bye.
