Chapter 58 - You Look Horrible

"So, what weaknesses does he have?"

"Weaknesses? He doesn't even have any weird habits besides not cleaning up. Though, that's probably just to make himself seem more human and as if he didn't have psychopathic tendencies likely with an overlap with OCD."

"OCD?"

Scott and the rest of the unit were surprised at how BB was able to perfectly form a picture of the DA's mind in a few minutes. Now, all the unit had left on the outside was Alexandria who in the words of Joey, was doing something between jack and shit, Sears, was playing cowboy, and Mistress who was robbing a gas station.

"Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It makes a person have almost random actions be repeated at a high rate. Most of the time, these actions just lead to a thorough person with a high love for their obsession but to someone say, a serial killer, this would be said to be the act."

"You really know a lot about this."

"Well, I was top dog for a time."

BB knew that this man was perfect as a fellow man by trade. They had been outmatched. Even if they did find any evidence there would be nobody to find out. He could probably figure out a scheme to stomp them all.

"So how are we getting out of here?"

"Wait, we're not here to catch them, we're here to figure out who he is. If I was never caught and we replaced an old crew that means that-"

BB was cut off by Scott.

"-we're next on the chopping block."

"What are we going to do?"

"Simple, we're going to take him out and whoever ODETTA sends us to find."

They had a more immediate problem at the time; it was them getting out of the cell. Several times over, they had talked about what they were doing but for some reason a weird dream emerged in BB's mind whilst he slept. Joey was strong enough to break the bars and that was the leading part of their plan.

"Hey there old friend. We need to have a quick talk."

It was his first victim. He looked a lot like BB but he had a muscular build and was covered in tattoos. BB, being the conman of his time, had joined favor with his gang as a part of his plan of attacking Dials.

"No, I left you in the past."

"You can't run from the past, at least, not in this life you can't."

"You deserved what happened to you."

A small smile came across the prisoner's face. He was still in his orange prison outfit and had a cut all across his body. BB made him into an experiment of sorts. See, BB was alone with him for a few short hours as the two had to make a ton of fixes to a broken pipe. BB used this time to string him upside down after bludgeoning him with a piece of metal he found. Then, the victim was strung up by his feet and had his clothes removed. Then, BB sharpened the pipe as to make it where he could be cut from head to toe whilst slowly being rotated and BB dragged the blade downwards.

"Do you remember what it was like when I went? I was screaming and then you made a few more cuts until it became too much and then you slammed a pipe into my face. That shut me up real fast."

A chill went down BB's spine as he felt like he was being reminded of his worst sin. Those actions never haunted him and yet they were coming back to him. They're just like me. They are replacing me. I can't let them do that.

"I need to wake up."

"Then they'll never get a second chance like you did, you demented freak."

"I didn't deserve that second chance but the least I could have done is use it."

"How self-righteous."

BB woke up in the cell and to be frank, all [redacted] broke loose and now he had to figure out where everyone was at and why the building was on fire. But one thing that he purely didn't understand was how he had been taped to the ceiling of the cell. Just like the good old days. Now hopefully they're just as reliable as back then.

"Well, here goes nothing. HELP!"

Out of the chaos that was the flames and the melee going on between the unit and the police department. BB would later come to figure out that this was him being further set up by the DA.

"What's your problem?"

"What do you mean? Get me out of here!"

Sears came by and cut him out with a knife before BB made his way to the exit.

"Do you know what started the fire?"

"Nah, some pretty boy came in, he talked for a little bit before he ran off."

"Very interesting. Was he wearing a suit?"

"Well, not that I can remember. Man, this smoke is really making it hard to breathe."

The two were running through the burning department before BB was set down next to Joey on the curb, who almost broke his hand and was using the other to put a bag of peas on his head.

"You look horrible."

"Likewise."

Joey took out a pack and lit up. He didn't care for what Sears thought, he needed it. Most people would do that after seeing everything he did. Joey was very caught up in that moment with the likes of his daughter whom he didn't know had passed.

"You weren't wrong."

The un-detective had placed his face above a puddle and low in behold, he'd been beaten horribly. Apparently, someone had pickpocketed the bullets off the police officers before Joey broke the bars and had all of them pulled out. When everyone had regrouped at the local bowling alley later on, they discovered that it was Alexandria. But there was more than one wolf in the sheep. The DA was close friends with another man who just so happened to look like him and was a cop who always got mixed up with him and he was also a suspect.

"They're all working together."
