Chapter 10 - Chapter 9: Mindset, Threat.

'If the Martial Ancestor somewhat failed in passing Martial Arts, I will! To be a dominant figure with greatness, I promise this thing will happen in the future!'

A fiery blaze ignited his eyes as Yoichi took a deep breath, further solidifying and elevating his mindset to another level.

"Wow, so powerful!"

"I wonder if we could also learn that..."

"I don't believe it! Such a strong force came from his fragile body. Who would definitely acknowledge that?"

Hearing the sound, Genji and Hikari were amazed while Sabito felt like dreaming; seeing Yoichi produced such a magnitude of strength with a weak physique.

"Heh, trivial gimmicks! That was just the sounds popping up from the bones. Am I right, Masaru-sama?"

From a distance, Tadao scoffed at Yoichi like looking at a poser. His crew was also affected by the precarious situation earlier. The 52 children were reduced to 24, a drastic change in their number.

'Like a stubborn mule to a calm attitude in just one day... Interesting!'

Masaru merely looked at the distance with a treacherous glint in his eyes. At this juncture, the points in his mind gradually began to form a line; a mysterious secret behind Yoichi's extreme shift in all aspects.

However, Yoichi doesn't know that somebody was scheming against him. Instead, he was mulling over the noticeable diminishing returns after practicing postures for a few sets.

First of all, concentration was a resource like stamina and was always essential whenever executing a complete set of postures.

Secondly, forceful and domineering stances required a durable figure. After working out, his body was battered with rips and tears in his muscles; signifying the brutality and difficulty with the extreme methods.

Lastly, resources like teaching were an absolute must-have. Effective teaching materials and prescribed medicines were necessary for significant progress.

As he mentally noted the necessities and fixable problems, Yoichi felt the three pairs of eyes looking at him with expectations and admiration.

"Hey, can we learn that?" Genji asked while Hikari and Sabito nodded continuously like chickens pecking.

"Unfortunately, I can't share it with you guys since it was an activation of the Chakra through Taijutsu. I'm sorry about this."

A cold bucket was poured on their ignited desires as soon as they heard his words, dimming the hopeful eyes in vain.

Of course, Yoichi made a reasonable excuse with concerns about his secret. He doesn't know how to pass the other methods for now and another technique being passed to his friends would definitely put a crosshair on his head, the main suspect.

Moreover, if he has available techniques, he could pass them down to Genji and Hikari without a doubt. But Sabito? Yoichi's mind couldn't help but be uncertain about this troublesome friend.

Sabito couldn't even keep his thoughts about running away, what about keeping a secret?

"... However, I can teach you how to refine the Chakra and mould them."

Listening to him, the three went optimistic once again as their eyes felt intensified at each second.

"Then teach us, Yoichi-sensei!"

"Hmm! Hmm! Yoichi-sensei!"

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Yoichi was momentarily speechless at their antics before teaching them the general understanding of the Chakra.

Luckily, all three of them weren't impossible to teach and could easily understand some of the complexities, beginning to have some grasp of knowledge and comprehension.

Although they still couldn't mould Chakra and utilize its mystical prowess due to their powerless bodies, anything related to self-preservation was always a huge deal for them. A short burst of Chakra could be a major deterrent against other children around.

"Fall in line!" A harsh tone flared as the kids immediately followed.

Later, each child was inspected without problems and left the quarters, marking the eventful day with a plain dinner in the evening.

"Isamu-sama, good evening!" Yoichi greeted the upright shinobi with a smile on his face.

"What is it? Anything else you need?" Isamu merely glanced, observing Yoichi's reason to communicate with him.

"Yes sir... May I ask about a storage for stones? Don't worry sir, any tattered pouches will do just fine."

"A pouch? Alright," Isamu knew his intention. "Hisao, get a pouch from the storage and give it to me."

Stones were a good practice tool for throwing and Isamu understood it since he was also like that in his days as a child.

"... Understood sir." The Genin, Hisao was utterly bewildered until he went to the storage. Orders from a Chūnin, he couldn't defy it at any cost.

On the other hand, Yoichi was stunned. He definitely didn't expect that his request would be smoothly accepted without any questions.

"Take it and go. You are quite lucky to be blessed by Hayate-sama. But remember this, betray us and I'll make sure you will wish a quick death in my hands!" As Isamu's sentence ended, a chilling frost exuded from his figure and enveloped Yoichi, who was sweating profusely.

Afterwards, the pressure vanished as Isamu went towards the patrol room. In contrast, Yoichi took a deep breath and proceeded back to his spot with the pouch at hand.

'I'll do my best to leave this place! For now, the plan must proceed with the collection of Space Pouch and other rewards from the Silver Roulette!'

With thoughts in mind, Yoichi and his friends ate their meal. While the lightrays were gone, the night along with the never-ending rain made the darkness feel like an all-consuming void.

Soon, all the children instantly fell asleep in their rattan beds and were exhausted from the strenuous day.

However, Yoichi was different. Still awake from the frequent hugs and other plans, he went into the comfort room and ignored the glances with urgency.

"Hey, isn't that brat Yoichi?"

At a distance, Yukiko stared at a familiar figure. She was still skeptical about Yoichi's sudden change.

"Yeah, and then?" A lazy voice responded.

"Is there any curiosity in your mind, Mitsuru?" Yukiko glared.

"No and I don't care to begin with. That kid was smarter than his peers, maybe he woke up and decided to be a useful brat instead of a discarded one. That's it." After that, Mitsuru left her and patrolled the other spots.

Feeling helpless, Yukiko followed with indignation in her face.

"Finally, they left. It's time to get the pouch no matter what!"

[Tickets: 3 Prismatic, 2 Gold, 11 Silver]

As he ripped 11 Silver Tickets, Yoichi looked at the roulette with high expectations.
