"Come on, are you guys ready to fight?" Kain shouted, his voice distorted.
"Kain, this is not you! Fight it!" Aiden shouted
"Sorry, but I love this strength"
Kain charged, turning his hand into a sharp blade and planning to slash Aiden, but Aiden dodged effortlessly.
On the back foot, Aiden issued a command.
"Kael, let's deal with Kain while the girls handle Suhi."
"I hate you bossing me around, but I've got a bone to pick with this punk." Kael said charging
Kael kicked Kain, sending him crashing into the wall and giving Aiden some space.
"Is that even Kain?" Kael asked looking at Aiden
"I am not sure" Aiden said
"You're right. I am not Kain. I have taken possession of his body because he willingly gave me access."
"Let me introduce myself, I am Mournfiend, Rank VIII"
Hearing that sent shivers through Kael and Aiden.
"What is a Mournfiend doing here?" Aiden asked.
"You scared of me" Kain asked laughing
"No," Kael and Aiden said, smiling as their confidence sent shivers down Kain's spine.
"Just a ceiling we need to break to reach Initiate."
"Are you ready, Kael"
"Sure Aiden"
Kael and Aiden charged kicking Kain far away
"Overdrive" Kael said as his hair spiked
Overdrive was a skill Kael possessed that allowed him to reach unimaginable heights of strength for up to one hour. However, it left his entire body in agony for a week.
Kael grabbed Kain by the arm and slammed him into the pastry table.
As Kain got up, Aiden drove a kick slamming him into the ground
"Ouch," Kain said, smiling.
"Wake up Kain" Aiden shouted furiously
"Kain is dead!" the demon shouted.
As Aiden stepped back, Kain got up
"Time to stop going easy"
The Mournfiend's body emitted a thick gas that engulfed Kael and Aiden. As they inhaled the gas, both fell into a deep slumber.
"Where am I?" Aiden asked in a black space
"In your head," a voice answered.
"Show yourself Kain" Aiden screamed
A figure kicked Aiden sending him flying
"Is that how you talk to your dad" the figure said as his face showed
The figure was in his late 40s, he wore a crimson red cloth with seven gold stars on it, his facial features resembled Aiden but had scars all over his body to prove his roughness and years of battle
"What are you doing here, dad?" Aiden asked in horror
"Sorry but I am not dad right now, I am Master Toshinoro of the Union" the figure said holding his sword
"Don't run from me like in the past" Toshinoro said charging towards Aiden
Aiden dodged the attack. It would be a lie if he thought of taking it head on
'I need to run. That's my only option.'
"Running again" Toshinoro said
As Aiden tried running, Toshinoro blocked his path with overwhelming speed
"You have a duty, to surpass me Aiden" Toshinoro said in anger
Toshinoro kicked Aiden but Aiden held his kick with his hand before punching Toshinoro in the face but he blocked with his other hand
Aiden released Toshinoro and created some distance
"Okay, let's amp the fight" Toshinoro said
In a blink, Toshinoro kicked Aiden in the gut making Aiden cough some spit, as Aiden tried to catch his breath, Toshinoro engulfed the entire space in flames.
"Liaxi" Toshinoro said as phoenix birds engulfed charging at Aiden
Aiden began running in the other direction making Toshinoro laugh hysterically
"Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, you are just like your dead brother" Toshinoro said with a smirk across his face
Aiden stopped in his tracks after hearing that
"What did you say bastard" Aiden said as his aura soared violently
Aiden and Kael's bodies were down and out back in the hall with the Mournfiend smiling violently.
His specialty was targeting the minds of his opponents, which explained how he had trapped Aiden and Kael.
The others tried to intervene but were caught up in their own battles until…..
*SHIVER*
Aiden body had violently emitted his Arcana aura which made everyone go still
"Oh" the figure sitting down at the stage said
"What is that kid dreaming about" Mournfiend asked in confusion
"I had erased that memory, just had to bring it up" Aiden said as he slowly opened his eyes
Opening a person mind to his deepest fears was what made Mournfiend take control like how he did to Kain, little did he know there were some people who preferred to keep those memories locked away and now Mournfiend had opened what was long locked in the heart of Aiden
As Aiden stood up, he shot Mournfiend the glare of a man who had already decided to kill.
"What made you think you had the right to interrogate me?" Aiden asked as he took a step
Mournfiend shrieked, stepping back.
Mournfiend was strong in the mental aspect but desperately weak in the physical aspect which was why it either killed its opponents quickly or slowly eroded their minds.
"Now, I am going to kill you" Aiden said
Aiden charged forward before saying "Rhitta"
A long sacred sword appeared and Aiden threw it at Mournfiend but he dodged effortlessly
"What idiot" Mournfiend said laughing
Suddenly Aiden appeared behind Mournfiend kicking him hard in the face and slamming him into the wall.
"Have mercy" Mournfiend asked as he cowered in fear
Aiden halted his footsteps and with cold piercing eyes calmly said
"What makes you think I would show you any mercy"
