Chapter 221 - Chapter 221 Knights From Another World

Just as the two humans and the dragon were locked in their stalemate, refusing to yield, a golden beam of light descended from the sky. It moved with impossible speed, striking before anyone, or any dragon, could react.

Its target was Tohru.

Tohru's massive draconic form was pinned to the ground by the impact.

The dragon claw locked in the arm-wrestling match with Yusei instantly went limp.

"Tohru!" Yusei exclaimed in shock.

Kanna, however, stared at the golden sword, her pupils contracting sharply, "That's... a Dragon-Slaying Sword, a bane to dragonkind! How did it appear in this world?"

"Hehehe, to think there's another dragon here. It seems our squad's merits for this mission are going to multiply several times over."

A voice came from the sky. Everyone looked up to see a squad of two men and one woman stepping out of a spatial rift. They were clad in armor reminiscent of medieval knights.

Kanna looked at these individuals with clear wariness, "You are soldiers of the ancient Carnia Kingdom, aren't you? The only nation that has been at war with dragonkind for centuries."

Pinned by the golden sword in her back, which suppressed her power, Tohru couldn't muster her strength. She glared ferociously at the humans in the sky.

"How did you find this place?!"

"Just as I thought. Humans are all despicable and shameless, attacking from behind!" She then turned her furious, hate-filled gaze towards Yusei, "It was you! You lured me here! You used this little contest to hold me in place so these people could ambush me!"

Yusei rolled his eyes at Tohru, "Are you an idiot? I'm from this world. Those people are clearly from another world. How could I have coordinated with them to take you down? More importantly, what benefit would I even get from that?"

The armored soldiers descended from the sky and landed on the ground. Yusei dismissed his Susanoo.

Tohru still looked unconvinced, roaring her fury at Yusei and the otherworldly humans.

"Damnable humans! Deceitful humans!"

"Shut up. You're my maid, remember?" Yusei said irritably, tapping Tohru on the head, "Besides, there's something I need to confirm right now..."

A strange light flickered in Yusei's eyes.

Ignoring Tohru's roars and shouts, Yusei turned his attention to the humans across from him.

However, the other party seemed to pay Yusei no mind whatsoever. In their eyes, he probably looked like a primitive native.

Well... that was fair. Because Yusei also thought of them as natives... of another world.

"You few, uninvited guests," Yusei began, a cryptic gleam in his eyes, his tone casual, "Did you... come here alone?"

The lead knight, hearing Yusei, finally focused on him.

"You're quite impressive, being able to grapple with a dragon physically. But it seems you can't use magic. Would you be interested in joining our Kingdom of Carnia?"

"Sure."

Hearing this, Yusei immediately agreed.

These words only solidified Tohru's suspicions. Anger, regret, and hatred flooded her heart all at once.

Kanna didn't think the same way as Tohru, but she didn't move recklessly, knowing that Yusei would never be that kind of person.

For Kaguya and Shiro, this was their first time seeing people from another world, though they had already encountered a dragon from one.

They looked curiously at the three armored knights, not interrupting the conversation between them and Yusei.

The lead knight was taken aback by Yusei's immediate compliance, but then nodded in satisfaction.

"As expected. No matter the world, these dragons that seek to destroy worlds should be the targets of our hunt. It seems this world also has comrades who share our ideals."

"Good. In that case, let's deliver the final blow and claim our spoils."

As he spoke, his two companions began chanting, preparing to use magic.

Despite wearing knight's armor, they were chanting magical attacks, creating a somewhat dissonant feeling.

"Please, wait a moment," Yusei stopped them, asking curiously, "I'd like to know how you managed to time your attack on this dumb dragon so perfectly."

"Ah, that? Well, about half a month ago, we started tracking her. We secretly placed a tracking spell on her."

"The tracking spell isn't offensive, and it simply gives us coordinates and a rough sense of the target's condition."

"Today, we were preparing to go out hunting lesser dragons as usual, but we suddenly sensed her weakened state. So we didn't hesitate to activate the Dragon-Slaying Sword and strike her down," The lead knight explained.

Yusei nodded thoughtfully, "I see. So, that means there's no larger force or anyone else who knows you came here to hunt her, right?"

A younger male knight chuckled, "Hehe, well, this is our first major mission. We wanted to surprise our comrades back home!"

Yusei nodded again, a smile spreading across his face.

"In that case... do you have any high-level Priests with you? Actually, my health isn't great. I'm suffering from an incurable disease in this world."

"Haha, don't worry! While we aren't Priests ourselves, we have them back at our camp. We can take you there. We're comrades now, after all!" The lead knight laughed heartily.

Seeing this, Yusei also laughed, his laughter open and cheerful.

But suddenly, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan in his eyes spun, its ability switching to ALS, which power cranked to the maximum.

Yusei's right eye stared directly at the few humans. Without any warning, among the three, the leader grunted in pain while the other two collapsed limply to the ground.

"W-What is this?!" The leader felt his limbs grow weak, as if he couldn't stand. Then he saw that his two companions beside him were no longer breathing.

It was only then that he looked at Yusei, noticing him walking slowly towards him, that he realized what had happened.

"You! What underhanded method did you use to kill them?! You...!" A large mouthful of blood was coughed up. ALS, enhanced to its maximum power, meant that anyone Yusei glared at should have died instantly.

To be honest, Yusei was surprised this guy hadn't died immediately, given his human body.

Moreover, it seemed he was rapidly recovering from the limb-weakening symptom.

Yusei activated his left eye.

Immediately, three skills appeared within his left eye.
