Because Tenjo Hikari couldn't ascertain whether Tenjouin Asuka was indeed the female protagonist, nor could he be sure if the woman using Rituals considered Cyber Blader her ace monster.
At the very least, she was quite pleasing to the eye, and having a female spirit that enhanced aesthetics in his chaotic and twisted deck was certainly delightful.
Unfortunately, unlike the two Flame Swordsmen, these later additions didn't want to follow him bodily out of this dimension; instead, they provided Tenjo Hikari with cards.

With an extra Flame Swordsman, he wouldn't have to pair one Flame Swordsman with so many Salamandra cards anymore, and Cyber Blader was the perfect answer for "Metamorphosis" in this world where LP was relatively low; one Cyber Blader could effectively defeat opponents with doubled ATK due to its effect.
