Chapter 363 - Chapter 341: Three Days

"Is that so, Ed lost?"

"Yes, Lord Saiou."

Inside the pure white halls of the Light Society, the students kneeled behind Saiou, reporting to him.

Saiou had the innate ability to foresee the future, to divine destiny, possessing a talent akin to precognition since childhood.

It was said that once there was a Millennium Item that could predict the future, but compared to "artifact," Saiou's power was something extraordinary he possessed from birth.

He was born with it!

He naturally possessed this talent, this ability, and within his heart were two different impulses.

To use his talent for the benefit of the world, or to destroy the world.

However, even with such talent, there were still some things he couldn't easily divine.

Himself.

So, whether Ed could defeat Tenjo Hikari, and thus affect his own destiny, even he couldn't easily foresee the outcome.

But now, the result was right in front of him.

The sun shines brighter!

[Reversed Position], but it doesn't matter!

Because the [Sun] card is beneficial in any position!

"Here is what you requested, Lord Saiou."

At the same time, Gin Ryuusei respectfully presented the tray he held towards Saiou Takuma.

Saiou turned back, gently taking the cards off the tray.

The corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl into a slightly mad smile, slowly surfacing on his face.

These two cards embodied the power of Tenjo Hikari's [Destiny] and [Wave of Light]!

"The time is set for noon three days from now." He held the two cards, laughing exaggeratedly, while also ordering the members of the Light Society: "Inform all members to be present at the hall at that time."

"Yes!" Gin Ryuusei responded immediately, "I'll personally escort the nearby students who couldn't make it."

Saiou nodded lightly.

Then, he picked up the card in his hand again, the smile gradually fading.

Three days.

Three days to gather all the members, it was enough time.

He had seen the future where all members came to the society.

Once all members had left, he gently sat back in his chair again.

But this time, he did not sit upright but leaned back comfortably, crossing his legs, with his hands lightly folded in his lap, closing his eyes.

Even with his eyes closed, images seemed to flicker before him.

He could see through these images, seeing the members of the society arriving within three days, preparing for the final "grand event" for him.

He could see it.

In three days.

Well-prepared Tenjo Hikari and numerous students from Duel Academy appearing before his society, challenging him.

Flame Swordsman, Shaddoll, Gemstone, plenty of Fusion Monsters of every kind appeared in his visions, all possibilities and futures unfolding before him.

Furthermore—

He instinctively opened his mouth, grinning, an eerie "heat" emanating from his mouth, like a demon living in the sulfurous flames of Hell.

Because...

He saw it!

He saw his newly summoned ace card, astonishing, never expecting he could battle in such a way.

Heh.

Someone pursuing "Extreme Fusion," defeated by [Polymerization], isn't this the marvel of [Destiny]!?

Then, Saiou's smile vanished just as quickly.

He could see [Destiny], but destiny is elusive; he must ensure to seize that ultimate power within this time.

Meanwhile.

Across the street from Saiou Takuma's, in Ed Phoenix's residence.

Ed was meticulously examining each of his cards.

"Ed, that Spirit called Midrash isn't an ordinary Spirit."

"It's probably not Midrash at all, but a disguise for some powerful being."

"The reason you could see your father's soul is likely because of that Spirit."

Having escaped the state ensnared by the Wave of Light, Ed finally heard his companions' voices again.

Although he lost some ability to judge destiny, his Spirit Power had increased significantly due to the Wave of Light, advancing from merely hearing Spirits to being able to see them now.

Beside him, Destiny Hero - Dasher continuously analyzed aloud, with Elemental Hero Phoenix Enforcer chiming in occasionally.

"An extraordinary being?" Ed pulled out the Plasma card, the two Spirits looked at the card, falling silent.

This Plasma, compared by Ed's father to the Egyptian Gods, was a card created by heavenly "inspiration," concealing mysterious power, soul, its Card Spirit as "extraordinary."

Tenjo Hikari helped him, pulling him back from despair, even allowing him to see his father again through Midrash's Spirit; this secret, he wouldn't share, and even with his companions warning him of the Spirit's danger, he didn't care.

Because he believed in Tenjo Hikari's decision, more rational and determined, to befriend such a Spirit must have its own reasons.

He had no grounds to question it.

"More than this..." Ed slowly took up his deck.

"Dasher, you said getting Plasma's approval reveals its true form?"

"Probably—" Dasher said beside Ed, "Ed, this is your father's last card, guided by the Spirit of Plasma, it was born.

Due to the influence of the Wave of Light, it's in this state.

Once you gain its approval, your father's unfinished business should resurface."

"But... it's very dangerous, Ed," Phoenix Enforcer said, lowering its voice, "Ed, given your compatibility with us Heroes, there's really no rush, in a year or two, it might just awaken. But trying to awaken it and challenge it now could be very dangerous."

"Three days—"

"What?" Phoenix Enforcer suddenly paused.

"Three days," Ed smiled, "I heard it, heard [Saiou] saying, [he] will hold a grand ceremony in three days..."

"A ceremony to destroy everything!"

"I must prepare before then!"

Ed gauged the cards in his hand.

"Saiou, Tenjo Hikari, the both of them have helped me immensely recently, and now, it's my time to strive for this. How can I fear a little danger?"

"Destiny is calling me to battle!"

With that, he didn't hesitate, biting his finger to drip blood on the Plasma card.

Instantly, a blood mist spread, a surge of bloody aura filled the room, almost instantaneously knocking Ed into the wall with a resounding crash, feeling a whirl and nearly passing out.

"Ed!" The two Spirits were shocked, scrambling to assist him.

"I'm... fine." Ed still managed a smile, shakily standing up.

Meanwhile.

Tenjo Hikari was also making his preparations.

"Just one more," Hikari said, looking at the purple Monster Card in hand, "Just in case, let's bring this card along too."

Formally facing a "BOSS" from the original work, he needed to be fully prepared!
