In the end, Judai and the others still had to stop on the mountain path.
Judai was panting heavily, his eyes fixed intently on the scene ahead.
Before him, two enormous Archfiends were attacking each other with ferocious intensity, sending waves of energy so powerful that Judai had to exert all his strength to protect everyone from the invasion of the Darkness Power.
Moments later, the two Archfiends ceased their attacks, Dragon Lord and Demon God hovering face-to-face in the air once again.
This time, a large gash appeared on the body of the Demon God, colorful blood continuously flowing from it.
"Hahahaha, Rain! Why won't you heed my advice? If you had just honestly guarded our gate, at least you wouldn't have been torn apart by me!" Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, laughed wildly.
Its power was far superior to Rain's, and it had absolute confidence in winning by relying on Spirit Power.
"Now, you've been so badly wounded in trying to stop me, even in a duel, you cannot defeat me!"
It laughed hideously.
This insane laughter made the students inside the Roids even more terrified.
They realized that the burly Archfiend was obviously there to help them, but now it was injured, so what should they do?
The Dragon Lord, seeing Rain remain silent, turned and attacked Judai. Noticing this, Rain roared angrily to the sky, brandishing his lance as he came before Judai, attempting to deflect the Dragon Lord's attack.
"Are you okay?!" Judai, though unclear about the situation, instinctively shouted when he saw Rain protecting him.
"No... no problem, my King!" Rain, being concerned by The Supreme King for the first time, shook all over, uncertain if it was from excitement or fear.
King?
Judai murmured softly.
"Indeed, you've played right into this kid's hands." Grafa roared in the air, "The Supreme King, are you going to hide behind your subordinates?"
The Supreme King?
What nonsense is this?
Judai was baffled.
While he was bewildered, a peculiar-looking Archfiend with a twisted head emerged slowly from the Dragon Lord's ranks, laughing eerily and saying, "Dragon Lord, did you forget? The Supreme King hasn't awakened yet!"
"Hmm—quite right." Grafa also remembered this matter, cackling crazily.
This was why it dared to appear before The Supreme King.
It intended to seize the King's power before he awakened.
"Isn't it Yuki Judai?" The crooked-necked Archfiend stepped forward, speaking slyly, "I serve the Dragon Lord, Brron, Mad King of Dark World. You must be very puzzled why they swarmed out to pursue you during your escape, right?"
Judai had already guessed.
He only blamed himself for not guessing sooner.
"It's for me?"
"Hehehe, indeed worthy of The Supreme King, truly smart." It sneered, "You are the reincarnation of The Supreme King who once ruled twelve Dimensions. Your body harbors the power of The Supreme King. If we seize your power, we can once again raise an army to conquer the twelve Dimensions and become the Demon King of Demon Kings!"
"Wha... what?" Judai was so shocked he was left speechless.
"What nonsense about past lives are you spouting!" Kenzan shouted, pounding on the Roid's window.
But beneath his shouts, there were other voices.
"Were we involved all along?" "Then just capture Judai and be done!" "Mama—"
Some students, already suffering due to the pressure, began to crumble under the Archfiend's power, unable to hold back their words.
Judai felt a sharp pain in his heart.
"How about it, if you stay behind, we will let the others go," Brron tempted Judai, raising a claw in front of him, speaking slowly.
At this moment, Judai hesitated.
"Don't listen to him, Judai!" At this moment, Jim quickly reacted, "This guy will definitely go back on his word, and when the time comes, if he takes a hostage, it'll be over!"
"That's right, Judai. Don't listen to it." Though not fond of speaking much, O'Brien quickly spoke out at this moment, "On the battlefield, there's only life and death, no surrender! You can't trust it!"
Judai's gaze gradually sharpened, determined, with no sign of hesitation.
He still had many companions who supported him…
"Hehehe—" Seeing Judai snap back to reality, Brron wasn't discouraged but instead laughed maniacally.
"What are you doing!!" Shou's scream rang out.
A student crazily pushed open the window and jumped directly out of the vehicle, "I have nothing to do with this, don't drag me into trouble, fight amongst yourselves!"
"Fool—" Shou coughed violently twice, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth. To provide energy, he went full throttle, and such a situation made his brain feel dizzy, nearly collapsing, yet Dennis quickly supported him.
But as a result, more students, unable to bear the pressure, jumped down from the vehicle.
"These idiots…" Jim lightly pressed his hat.
For a good person, for a Hero, what is the greatest enemy?
Is it the evil enemies?
No—
Jim mused silently in his heart.
It's the fools.
"Hahahahaha!!!" Dragon Lord swooped down, followed by a large number of Archfiends diving under its figure, like chicks being grabbed one by one, wantonly ravaging the fleeing students.
Though Judai summoned Neos, Demon God Rain would only protect Judai and did not call upon its already inferior troops to aid the humans.
In its eyes, these deserters seeking death on the battlefield only dragged down Lord Supreme King, better that they all died.
This caused the nascent goodwill Judai had for Rain to vanish instantly.
It was like a bucket of cold water poured over him, bringing sudden understanding.
From start to finish, only people like them cared about the lives of their companions.
Brron laughed maniacally, saying to Judai, "Hahaha, Lord Supreme King, it seems your companions are not too bright."
"Duel…" Judai said in a low voice, his tone calm.
"Hmm? Duel? Isn't it our advantage now?" Brron didn't care about such things.
Achieving the goal was all that mattered.
"Duel!" Judai raised his left hand, shouting at the Dragon Lord, "Don't you want my power? Duel!"
"If you win, take what you want, but if I win, then all of you leave!"
The Mad King scratched the back of his head, still wanting to speak, but on the other side, the Dragon Lord gave him a glance, silencing him.
The Dragon Lord slowly landed among the crowd, looking around at the Archfiends, both its henchmen and Rain's.
It sensed a familiar hostility approaching.
Those Lightsworn guys.
"All right, Supreme King." The Dragon Lord, unlike the Mad King, though brutal, had its pride, "This is indeed a more than suitable time.
Here and now, before all my kin, before my enemies, I will utterly defeat you!
Thus, I can rightfully become the new king of the Twelfth Dimension!"
It waved its right claw, making the Mad King immediately understand, quickly rushing to the back to fetch something, then respectfully holding it up, slowly walking to its front.
A pitch-black disk.
A thing that felt familiar to Judai, and once fitted onto the Dragon Lord's left hand, it began spinning wildly, like a windmill, clattering and raising a Mystical Space Typhoon, transforming into sharp blades, becoming a Duel Disk.
"Hmm—what a nice feeling." The Dragon Lord laughed.
Judai pressed his Duel Disk, which automatically unfolded, looking at the opponent with a grave expression.
"Duel!"
