Tenjo Hikari didn't waste words, directly entering his turn. At the very first instant of the Duel, the Duel Disk automatically slid out a card for him.
He glanced down at it, then directly declared, "Normal Summon, Myutant M-05!"
Gurgle gurgle— a strange lifeform locked inside an incubation chamber appeared on Tenjo Hikari's field.

"This Tenjo Hikari actually still has secret cards he hasn't used yet!" The surrounding Fusion Army soldiers whispered among themselves.

The bizarre creature with tentacles began spasming wildly. It leapt into the air, merged with some unknown lifeform, twisting that Monster before finally amalgamating into a single, imposing beast.

A few elite soldiers watching sneered as they spoke.
Akaba Leo flicked his cape.
Although as a scientist he had never devoted himself that seriously to Duels, as an excellent and powerful scientist his memory and Calculation Ability were outstanding. He had long since gone over the intel the Nobles provided him and knew this Monster could, when the opponent activated a Spell Card, banish a card to negate that Spell Card's activation and banish it.
So he simply needed to force the opponent to activate that effect first.
"My turn. Draw." Akaba Leo's expression was as still as water, utterly calm. "I activate the Spell Card, Dark Hole."
"Destroy all Monsters on the field."
Seeing this card, Tenjo Hikari didn't react, letting his opponent freely activate the Spell.
Since the other side had drawn it, then just let him use it.
Centered on the origin point of the field, a massive pit began to collapse. Everything around it was sucked in, until finally everything was reduced to nothingness.
"Next, Continuous Spell Card, Dark Contract with the Gate!"
A roll of parchment fell from the sky, and behind Akaba Leo, the blue silhouette of an Archfiend appeared, its eyes emitting Red Light as it stared at his back.
That was "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms."
Seeing this, Tenjo Hikari didn't hesitate for even a moment. He flipped his Set Card open. "Then at the very moment you activate a Spell Card, I chain and activate the Trap Card, Myutant Cry!"
"You can only activate this during your own or your opponent's Main Phase. Return to the Deck the Fusion Materials listed on a Myutant Fusion Card from among your Monsters on your own field·in your Graveyard or banished, and Fusion Summon 1 Myutant Fusion Monster!"
"The Fusion Conditions are 2 Myutant Monsters with different Attributes. I return Myutant Beast in the Graveyard and Myutant M-05 in the Graveyard to the Deck, and perform a Fusion Summon!"

"Tch, so Summoning that Monster was just to gather Fusion Materials? As expected of a guy who never takes a loss."
Tenjo Hikari raised his right hand and called out, "Polymerization Summon!
In Defense Position, LV 9, Myutant Synthesis!"
First came a flash of green. A single green eye blinked, glowing in the Darkness. Then, countless branch-like tentacles spread outward with that "eye" as their center, ultimately covering the entire space!

"Tch, such an evil and disgusting Monster." A noblewoman couldn't help but mutter softly.
For the Nobles, powerful cards were certainly powerful— but if they didn't suit their tastes, even something like Trishula of the Ice Barrier could be tossed away without a second thought.
This was the greatest "imbalance" in this world: the Decks that people at the very bottom poured all their effort and care into building were, to the Nobles, nothing more than trash they could discard at will.
Tenjo Hikari cast a glance at the noblewoman who had spoken. She immediately snapped open her fan and hid her face.
Tenjo Hikari turned back to the Duel. "When this Monster is Fusion Summoned successfully, target 1 card on the field and activate its effect. Destroy that card. I'm going to destroy your Dark Contract with the Gate."
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—
Three tentacles snatched up the falling Contract Book before Akaba Leo could reach it and tore it to shreds. Akaba Leo watched this, his expression as indifferent as ever.
"As expected, your Set Card was a Myutant dedicated Fusion Card." Akaba Leo spoke as though he had seen straight through Tenjo Hikari. "You've always been like this. No matter when it is, you always leave Fusion for last."
