Judai drew two packs and was surprised to see a "Comics Hero King Arthur".
"Huh? So Xyz has heroes too? But—the words seem different, it's not [hero] but [eiyou], huh?" Judai scratched his head, feeling a bit regretful.
The summoning conditions were usable for him, but unfortunately, it didn't seem to be a hero.
"If you want, you can exchange it with your card," Tenjo Hikari casually offered, not minding at all.
He couldn't use the card; Tierra probably wasn't interested either. Among his Spirits, Flame Sword and Dark Flame might like it, but the levels didn't match.
"Um... I think I'll pass." Judai pondered for a moment and shook his head.
The main reason was that he couldn't think of anything worth trading with Tenjo Hikari.
If "The Supreme King" were still around, he could endlessly draw cards from him, pulling out some cards to trade with Tenjo Hikari as a keepsake; that would be nice, but unfortunately, he couldn't.
Under such circumstances, it was best to leave it.
Tenjo Hikari nodded, unsurprised.
Most cards were unusable, but now Tenjo Hikari had many places where the spare cards could be used: exchanging with Magical Scientist, serving as Alchemy Materials, or sharing a bit of life with Phantasm. In any case, he wouldn't toss cards away recklessly or waste them.
Ruri carefully opened a card pack.
She had been doing pretty well in the academy lately. Though out of the Fusion Department, Serena's reputation wasn't great either, and with Akaba Leo's failure, irritating Serena was popular, but being a girl who preferred using fists over words, Serena wasn't often bothered, and Ruri was mostly left alone. The Fusion Department didn't trouble her and even took time to teach her how to sense Spirits, so she had been much more at ease lately, without the chaotic feeling in her heart.
She gently flattened the pack, pushed down the cards, then carefully cut open the top with scissors and poured the cards out.
The first card, Harpie Girl.
A Normal Monster card, quite typical.
But actually a Rare Card.
She didn't think much of it and continued drawing cards, surprisingly finding—a Polymerization?!
She was a bit surprised and prepared to hand the card to Tenjo Hikari. Seeing this, Tenjo Hikari suddenly smiled and said, "Keep it."
?
She tilted her head slightly.
"Since this card appeared in your hand, it means—Ruri, perhaps it has some connection with you. Polymerization never excludes anyone; since you drew it, it's yours.
Before returning to your own Dimension, enjoy some time at our school—like Alice in Wonderland, enjoy life, enjoy dueling, enjoy dueling from a different direction."
Tenjo Hikari spoke calmly.
Me... Polymerization?
Ruri stared at the card in her hand, then looked up at Tenjo Hikari. Under his encouraging gaze, she carefully tucked the card away.
Meanwhile—
"Wow! Master!" Serena exclaimed.
What what?
Tenjo Hikari wanted to discuss Polymerization further with Ruri when he suddenly heard Serena's voice, quickly turning to look.
Meanwhile, everyone else raised their heads at her exclamation.
And they saw—
A card gleaming with golden light.
"A card I've never seen before!"
Tenjo Hikari quickly glanced and then smiled.
The flustered girl in a maid outfit...
Isn't that Little Blue?!
Laundry Dragonmaid!
After a moment of joy, Tenjo Hikari felt quite surprised.
He had never heard of Dragonmaids appearing anywhere; he'd asked around at [Mountain], but everyone said they didn't know—
And today, he saw Little Blue!
"Turns out having them draw cards was definitely the right idea," Tierra said in response to another unfamiliar card appearing, echoing Tenjo Hikari's thoughts.
Serena's luck, without question!
