Chapter 206 - Chapter 100: The Irreplicable Miracle (Part 3)

Dumbledore is already inept as a principal, and Snape as a professor at Hogwarts... Well, he wasn't exactly the most competent teacher to begin with.

Ian secretly went to look for Snape too, but Snape blocked the door just like Hagrid, with a heavy dark circle under his eyes and a deeply exhausted look that startled Ian.

"Uncle! What's wrong with you!"

Ian wanted to show some concern for Snape, perhaps Snape had caught some contagious disease, as this appearance seemed anything but normal.

"Mind your own business! Prince! Your Magic Spell class starts in fifteen minutes!" An ungrateful Snape simply hurried Ian away without showing a hint of gratitude for Ian's concern.

He even looked at Ian with great annoyance, wanting to scold him but ultimately refraining. Just as Ian was about to leave for his Magic Spell class, Snape suddenly pulled out several hairs from Ian's head. Though fewer than before, it was clear Snape's actions were becoming increasingly proficient.

"Enough already, you!"

Ian covered his head, looking unhappy.

Snape simply glared at him and then forcefully shut the office door. This was a small episode; Ian, having been tricked by Snape once again, was only frustrated for a short while. Aurora's comment, "Your hair is even more abundant than mine, surely he can't pull it all off," was truly a comforting balm.

Of course, it's not like Ian doesn't hold grudges.

He had secretly resolved that once Snape kicks the bucket someday, he'll promptly go to the Misty Illusion Realm for a thorough search and then team up with his friends to pull out Snape's hair. If what Teacher Morgan said about souls and reincarnation is true, then he definitely wants his dear uncle to be bald in his next life.

Over the next two days, up until the day before Halloween, Ian's life was quite fulfilling; he would go to the Room of Requirement to study after classes during the day, occasionally sharing his insights with Dementors, and use his time after the small night class for further spatial expansion of his suitcase.

A large flat would hardly satisfy Ian's ambitions; he wants a space that can house thousands of Fantastic Beasts, so he can choose one to eat whenever he's out and about.

"Of course, don't eat the cute ones or the intelligent ones, just the vicious ones that can't be tamed." That's how Ian spent two days, and he didn't even go to watch the Quidditch tryouts.

Ian isn't much interested in these sports that thrill wizards; competitive games might be unfair, but they certainly shouldn't lose balance completely.

The overly prominent individual heroism of the Seeker often becomes the key to winning or losing a match, which really can make the team's efforts easily go up in smoke in an instant.

If the role of the Seeker could be weakened, perhaps the matches would be more interesting.

When the little wizards came back excited from watching the match, Ian had already deepened his strength in the Room of Requirement; however, he had pulled out a few strands of his hair while pondering his problems.

"Oh, you have no idea what you missed! Gryffindor was almost defeated until someone slyly shouted, 'Ian is right behind you!'"

"At that crucial moment, Marcus Flint, who had been dominating the field, fell off his broomstick directly. He's utterly terrified of you, even with his arm broken, he was frantically looking around in panic."

"Yeah, yeah, Marcus Flint is indeed pitiful, completely folded up, and was directly sent to the medical room." Michael and William's echoing was like a comedic act.

While going back with two roommates to fetch the textbooks, Ian heard many descriptions of this match; he particularly showed interest in the scene William described where Marcus Flint fell off the broomstick.

It's not that he wanted to see his own intimidation impacting people, but according to William and Michael's joint description, Slytherin's Marcus Flint's head could still crazily twist backward two hundred and fifty degrees when he fell — what a ridiculously exaggerated description!

Ian really wanted to facepalming his two bragging roommates on the spot; they actually thought Ian would believe Marcus Flint was an owl!

"Quickly, let's go! Don't be late! That professor is terrifying!"

The afternoon class was Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Although everyone was quite afraid of Gilderoy Grindelwald, Gilderoy Grindelwald proved himself to be a truly capable teacher, something that has been unanimously accepted by all the students over the past few days.

"Certainly better than the professor who was gored to death by a wild boar before school even started!"

"The professor who was killed right at the start surely wouldn't be more impressive than the current one!"

"That's for sure! He's Gilderoy Lockhart! The perfect man! Although by the time I grow up he'll certainly be old, I absolutely want to have a daughter who will marry him!"

...

It must be noted.

Gilderoy Grindelwald's disguise is genuinely splendid.

Aside from when conversing with Ian without any concealment, he consistently shows various Lockhart-like details in public, so much so that even the professors have never suspected him.

Although he is a bit less arrogant and over-the-top compared to the original Gilderoy Grindelwald, everyone merely thinks that the real Gilderoy Lockhart might not be as showy as rumored. In fact, this has actually caused Professor McGonagall and other professors to greatly revise their views of Gilderoy Lockhart.
