Ian made a firm decision.
Lady Ravenclaw clearly underestimated him.
He would never dispatch multiple evil dogs.
If it weren't for his lack of magical painting skill, unable to display any charm, Ian originally wanted to paint Cthulhu as the creature chasing the Gryffindor portrait.
"This is what happens when you don't work hard! You'll lack the means to deal with crises when they arise!" Ian admonished himself before quickly running towards Professor Snape's office nearby.
It's no wonder this place is often frequented by thieves.
As soon as Ian entered, he saw a sneaky figure doing a Zero Dollar Purchase.
"Obliviate!"
Due to Ian directly pushing the door open to the dim office, he startled the lawbreaker who arrived before him, who upon hearing, turned around and immediately cast a spell.
Smooth and decisive.
No hesitation or delay.
"..."
Ian suddenly crouched down to dodge the spell, and his glowing wand illuminated the whole office, somewhat dazing the evil wizard who planned to continue casting magic.
The little wizard inside the office instinctively raised his hand to block his eyes. The lighting technique, akin to a flashbang, interrupted the little wizard's spell.
"Aurora, attacking a friend is not right." Ian refrained from immediately retaliating with fire because his decent night vision allowed him to see the sneaky thief clearly.
"Ah? Ian! How... how is it you?"
When Ian lowered the brightness of the fluorescent flickering, Aurora saw clearly the person standing at the door, and the German little girl suddenly felt somewhat at a loss.
Her fair-skinned face turned red like a monkey's butt.
With a slight sense of lingering fear.
"I'm sorry, Ian. I thought it was Professor Snape." It's hard to imagine the tone of apology from the slightly flustered little wizard, who originally intended to use the Obliviate spell on a professor.
She even considered it a reasonable motive for her actions... This made Ian's eyelids twitch a few times, momentarily unsure whether to question on behalf of his good uncle.
"Those little Slytherins have spoiled you."
Ian sighed.
"Ah?"
Aurora's eyes were surprised after putting down her wand.
"Didn't you teach me this? Last time you told me that whatever I needed could be found in Snape's office, and even said Snape's office had everything..."
The honest response from the little girl made Ian feel a bit embarrassed.
"I was just introducing Professor Snape's magical office."
He started to quibble.
"You were clearly promoting."
Aurora was evidently not as easily deceived as Ian had hoped.
"What are you taking?"
Ian could only step forward and start to change the topic; he looked at Aurora's pocket, which was much smaller than the empty sack he was holding.
"Ian, things were really dangerous just now." Aurora had a face full of guilt, clearly still feeling remorse for almost attacking Ian earlier.
"You might as well cast an Obliviate on me while I'm not paying attention; if I can't dodge it, that's just my bad luck." She even made what seemed like a very fair proposal.
"Keep a tab, I like collecting interest." Ian didn't mind Aurora's ambush too much; in the Room of Requirement, he not only practices magic but also how to evade spells.
"Sri Lanka Vulture Gallbladder Juice, Boloksha Grass, Half-Ear Grass Sprouts, Snow Mink Heart Tendons, Icelandic Yuris Cave Stalactite, and Salamander Blood Serum..."
Ian, with his wand adjusted to a faint glow, approached Aurora's bag, identifying the ingredients inside, "Tsk, are you planning to brew Truth Serum to use on someone?"
It's definitely behavior only second to him brewing Amortentia.
"My grandfather."
Aurora blinked and closed the small bag again, lowering her voice to respond honestly, directly illustrating who truly was the bravest at Hogwarts.
"?????"
Ian's expression was quite remarkable.
He thought he was already the world-beating bravely bold.
Unexpectedly, there's an expert among this year's new students!
"In front of you, I seem like just a rookie egg..." Ian made a heartfelt remark, Aurora tilted her head, just about to speak further.
Suddenly.
"Click~"
The sound of the doorknob being turned rang out sharply. Aurora raised her wand, aiming it at the door; Ian instantly pushed her hand down and silently cast the Illusionary Body Spell on both himself and Aurora.
Well executed.
With the deep study of magic, many not too difficult or high skill level magic spells in Ian's hands have already reached the level of requiring no incantation.
As the door was opened.
Ian and Aurora's bodies first appeared with numerous transparent holes, those holes continually spreading like water stains, both of them melded into invisibility like ice chips under the scorching sun.
In the office.
Their bodies entered an invisible state.
The person entering the office was completely unaware that there had been two people in the office earlier; he carefully poked his head in first to observe the office situation, then cautiously squeezed in through the door crack, afterwards quietly closing it as if fearing discovery.
"Professor of Muggle Studies?"
