Chapter 403 - Chapter 135: Holiday Adventure! Generous Gains! (Part 2)

Of course.

Most students who didn't choose to go home are Muggle-born little wizards; they hope to stay at Hogwarts during the first semester to experience Christmas in the Magic World.

"I read a book in the Forbidden Book Area that mentioned a senior from many years ago who also killed during holidays. It's said that the decline of the current Wizarding World is related to that senior."

Aurora, of course, also had access to the Forbidden Book Area. However, instead of indulging in the forbidden knowledge, she seemed to always prefer the secrets sealed within it.

"Are you talking about our Senior Tom?" Ian lowered his voice, glancing at Quirrell on the teachers' platform. The only murderer he knew was the noseless Tom.

"No, based on what I know, the senior I saw sometimes killed more people in one day than this senior does now. I think that senior is the true Black Demon King."

"Compared to that, Voldem…"

Aurora still spoke in that indifferent tone, without lowering her voice, and she even seemed about to say Tom's name, causing Ian to quickly cover her mouth with his hand.

"There are so many students in the Great Hall." Ian wasn't worried about Voldemort being pushed to the edge; he was concerned about the potential consequences if that happened.

If Voldemort truly tore off his disguise in the Great Hall, who knows how many innocents would suffer.

"Do you know how expensive funeral flowers are now?" Ian dragged Aurora out, glancing back at Quirrell on the teachers' platform as they left the Great Hall.

Quirrell also felt his gaze.

Before Quirrell could even question in his heart.

"He might already be suspicious of you."

Voldemort evidently still had basic judgment because Ian's acting was no match for those old wizards.

"Should we find a way to…"

Quirrell began to speak in his mind, but before he could finish, Voldemort interrupted him.

"Our goal is the Magic Stone; don't start a conflict with him. I can't offer you much help." Voldemort's voice weakly echoed in Quirrell's mind. "For some reason, I suddenly felt much weaker last night."

The voice of the infamous Black Demon King sounded drained, as if gasping for air.

"But he might tell Dumbledore… I heard from the students that this guy loves to tattle." Quirrell's inner worry was very apparent.

Being a Ravenclaw, he naturally understood the hobbies of certain groups within Ravenclaw, and in fact, he was someone who enjoyed secretly reporting on others during school.

"As long as you don't reveal any flaws, Dumbledore won't take a little wizard's word seriously. Our headmaster never believes others, only his own judgment."

Voldemort's tone was firm.

Quirrell looked at his plate with no appetite, "But this Prince is different. I also heard from the students that he's a descendant of the Dumbledore family."

He spoke vaguely, obviously not believing Voldemort's judgment, but due to the number of people, Voldemort didn't punish this subservient spirit who dared to doubt him.

Of course.

It could also be that Voldemort was too weak to want to exert his power easily anymore.

"Fool! You've been at Hogwarts for so many years and still don't know about the mouths of those little wizards here? The Dumbledore family has long ended with Albus Dumbledore's generation!"

"Do you really think you understand this professor of mine better than I do?" Voldemort's weak voice contained a hint of anger, forcefully quelling Quirrell's thoughts of acting against Ian.

He clearly didn't want any conflict with Ian; towards this unusually powerful little wizard, the Black Demon King harbored an unacknowledged yet ever-present fear.

"Could it be that Dumbledore has already discovered us… Is he secretly casting spells on you?" Quirrell no longer brought up Ian, only anxiously worry about their status with Voldemort.

This anxiety.

Was in fact, also lurking in Voldemort's heart.

"You need to find me some more unicorns! Once I recover some strength, you can take advantage of that old man's absence to get what belongs to me from his hidden Dungeon of the Magic Stone!"

Voldemort made the decision.

However.

"There are now not only professors patrolling the Forbidden Forest from time to time, but even the Ministry of Magic has secretly sent a few people over. I'm worried they have received information from Dumbledore regarding us." Quirrell dared not bluntly state he was incapable of venturing into the Forbidden Forest again, so he elaborately described the current dangers of entering it.

"You useless waste!" Voldemort weakly and angrily cursed, however, he only ranted without irrationally forcing Quirrell into the Forbidden Forest.

After all, he knew Quirrell's limits; perhaps he could handle one or two Aurors, but facing several Hogwarts professors along with a group of Aurors was absolutely impossible.

Going would practically be a form of surrendering.

"The black market! You can buy some substitutes on the black market!" Voldemort thought of an alternative, really needing something to help regain his inexplicable frailness.
