Chapter 953 - Chapter 285: History and the Forbidden Forest

Fiery flames like a sea, devouring the entire canopy. The heavens cracked open, thunder and flames intertwining into a symphony of destruction, the ancient Titans turning to ashes amidst the intense heat and surrounding buildings.

Perhaps, the black-robed Wizards only imprisoned the Titans, without truly impacting their future, as they claimed to be eternal beings in this world.

All civilizations will vanish, and new ones will emerge, but under previous circumstances, the Titans wouldn't. The eternal life they stole ensures their survival alongside the world.

However.

Ian brought forth a power not belonging to this world, nor this era, originating from the Paradox Divine Authority. Even if it momentarily severed their link to eternal life with the world, in this brief time, they not only faced the backlash from the world but also struggled against Ian's Fiery Fire.

The black-robed Wizards could defeat the Titans through Magic, and with the loss of their immortal bodies, the magic's special attack effects on this group of Titans naturally reached its peak.

The Titan God King may have been invincible once, perhaps harboring a resurgence heart even when imprisoned; yet facing the "punishment" inflicted by Ian, he could only unleash an indignant roar before dying.

What else could be done?

No matter how grand and towering the Titan's body is, it still cannot reach Ian, who stands firm in the sky. Ian, transformed into the Raven, gazes down upon the roaring God King as he turns to ashes. He himself is struggling to survive, unable to save others, and sees only the blood and fire of his siblings before dying.

The once glorious Titan dynasty ends in this apocalyptic scene.

Everything.

Ultimately returns to death.

Fiery Fire continues to scourge.

Erasing the final traces of the Titans from this world. The clouds gradually disperse, sunlight pierces through the clouds like swords, but can no longer gild the Sky City with a divine radiance.

Ian looks up.

Sunlight spills from the cracked clouds, seemingly as a small comfort from heaven after the battle. The air is filled with the scorched smell of burning, and the metallic remnants shriek in the wind.

"These clouds, they've dissipated at the most inconvenient time."

Ian senses there's more to this, but cannot determine what it is. Pale daylight filters through the shattered clouds but fails to illuminate the broken remnants of Sky City. Deafening cracks resonate from the city's center as a towering white tower slowly tilts and collapses amidst the creaking of twisted metal.

This is the disappearance of an ancient miracle creation. The horizon far away witnesses the first ray of dawn penetrating the clouds. But within this city, dawn will never come again. The once floating Steel City's radiant crystal palace is now crushed like glass by giant hands, its myriad fragments wrapped in burning ash.

It carves a crimson trajectory in the void.

"Truly a poignant finale."

The Raven form of the Black-robed Wizard transforms into a stream of light and re-condenses into a human body, Ian still hovering in the sky, watching this collapsing ancient miracle—massive floating metal peeling from the city's base, dragged towards the distant ground by gravity, leaving smoke trails behind.

It wasn't truly absolute Magic Immunity.

The previous Magic Immunity.

All derived from the Titans' eternal power. Now, the Titans are gone, the energy source disappeared, and the metal constituting Sky City collapses like dominoes.

"Who would have thought, I became the Titan's terminator?" Ian murmured softly, his voice fading into the whistling wind. He recalled the Titans' fate in Greek Mythology, imprisoned by Zeus in Tartarus—how the Gods betrayed the Titans, how the Titans were sealed by Zeus, and how they ultimately fell.

This is the mythology most people know, yet the story's memories churn within, though now it feels absurd beyond mythology.

After all.

Now, these legends are no longer distant stories but real experiences occurring to oneself, yet differing from mythology. Those Giants stripped of eternal life by the Power of Paradox, their dying roars seem still echoing in the ears, causing Ian a mixed feeling at the corners of his mouth.

"So is this the real history? Or is it something else?" In mythology, the Titans' fate shouldn't be this way. Hence Ian doesn't know if this is the actual history, if he's completed history, or simply entered a special world without affecting normal historical directions.

To be honest.

Ian's Magic Knowledge is no small thing either.

Yet today's events have absolutely exceeded the realm of explanation available to his familiar Magic Knowledge.

"It's a pity for such a city." Ian has put away his Magic, the blue flames retreat like tides, exposing the ruins scarred by Fiery Fire. However, losing the Titans as an energy source, the city is like a giant drained of blood, unable to maintain the suspended miracle.

The Sky City, deprived of Titan power, has long been on the verge of collapse.

Even if Ian withdrew Fiery Fire, it couldn't be saved.

The entire island tips at a speed visible to the naked eye, its edge buildings tumbling one by one into the cloud sea. However glorious the creation, without a foundation, it's merely a castle in the air.
