Naoki thought for a moment and said, "The most important thing now is to tell the Dragonites on the island about their arrival."
He then looked at the Dragonair and Dratini: "As you can see, this is where we live. The environment is not as good as the island you lived on."
"There are no Berry trees here, no ocean, and there aren't many places with water."
The Berry trees have not yet grown and at least won't bear fruit until autumn, and the young Dratini can't leave the water for too long.
Although there are lakes on the ranch, compared to the lakes on Dragonite Island, the lakes here are still too small.
Hearing this, the Dragonair and Dratini turned their heads and curiously observed the surrounding environment.
The ranch was bare, with only a few scattered large trees, green lawns on the ground, a few unknown buildings not far away, and on the other side, fields of various flowers and bountiful crops.
In addition to the Glaceon, Alcremie, Koraidon, Pawmo, and Cyclizar they had already seen, many other kinds of Pokémon also lived here.
Some were curiously observing, while others were leisurely basking in the sun, exuding a sense of ease and comfort all over.
After they finished looking around, Naoki continued to ask:
"Do you want to go back, or do you want to stay here? If you want to go back, I'll have Dragonite take you back. If you want to stay and play for a few days, I'll send you back after a while."
To be honest, he hasn't had the opportunity to meet breeders and learn how to make nutritious Pokeblocks from them, so for now, he can't raise too many Pokémon.
Dratini and Dragonair are fine, but if they evolve into Dragonite while staying here, it might really eat him out of house and home...
Stay a few more days?
Hearing this, the Dratini and Dragonair decisively chose the latter.
Naoki knew they would make this choice.
He helplessly nodded at Dragonite.
Dragonite, as if resigned to fate, gave a glare to the Dratini and Dragonair, then flew into the sky and headed towards Dragonite Island.
Naoki then brought the Dratini and Dragonair to the circular lake in the ranch.
When he first came to this world, he had caught two Magikarp and put them here, but later found feeding them troublesome, so he released them back into the river.
He thought this lake would just be abandoned, but he didn't expect it to come in handy at this time.
The water in the lake was fairly clear, with a few fallen leaves and petals floating on top, probably blown over by the wind.
"You guys can settle here for now!"
The Dratini and Dragonair splashed into the lake, leaving only their little heads peeking out onto the shore.
Seeing them like this, Naoki felt like he was entertaining the neighbor's kids visiting.
He shook his head, dismissing the strange thought, intending to fetch some food to feed them, when he suddenly remembered something and reminded them:
"Oh right, you can roam freely within the ranch, but you must remember, never go outside the ranch, understand?"
"Huh?" Dratini looked puzzled.
Naoki poked its big nose, deliberately scaring it:
"That's because outside, there are many bad people. If they see you, they will capture you and lock you in a tiny Poké Ball, and you won't be able to return to Dragonite Island."
Hearing this, the Dratini shivered in fear, pulling their heads down until only half was exposed.
Dragonair, however, was curious and asked, "Huh?"
Naoki couldn't understand, so he went back into the house, cracking open a handful of sunflower seeds and stuffing them into his mouth.
"What did you say?"
Dragonair repeated: "Huh?" (Was Uncle Dragonite caught by you like that?)
Naoki almost choked: "I made an agreement with your Uncle Dragonite. It became my Pokémon, and I helped it become stronger. Would you say it got stronger?"
Dragonair thought about it. Their Uncle Dragonite was initially a dumb Dragonite who couldn't learn any moves, but one day it left the island and didn't come back.
When it returned, its strength had vastly changed. It had become one of the most powerful Dragonite on Dragonite Island.
Thinking of this, the Dragonairs smiled happily, "Huh~" (If that person is like you, we wouldn't mind being captured just like Uncle Dragonite~)
Naoki was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled, "Not everyone is like me, and in some people's eyes, you're as precious as diamonds."
"Although some people might take good care of you, there are also those who would capture you for profit, sell you to others for breeding or collection."
Dragonair didn't quite understand.
Naoki gave them an example, "Take me and your Uncle Dragonite, for instance. If I were a bad person, I would sell it to someone else for ten thousand Berries."
The Dragonair let out a gasp, a lot of Berries!
But soon, a Dratini couldn't help but ask, "Huh?" (Then why don't you capture us?)
Naoki winked at it, "Though I'd love to, doing so would make your Uncle Dragonite jealous and angry, and I don't want to upset it."
