"Ah gah?"
Koraidon, though slightly confused, still attempted to jump onto Glastrier's back.
Glastrier's back almost buckled under the pressure, and it used all its strength to support its body so it wouldn't fall.
Glastrier originally wanted to kick with its hooves, but constrained by the ferocity of the Pokémon on its back, it wasn't a match and could only endure with difficulty, letting out a strained whinny.
"Good, just bear with it for a while," Naoki, feeling a bit sorry, patted Glastrier's head. "I'm just trying something."
Glastrier, sullenly, let out two snorts with a constipated expression.
Naoki, worried about Glastrier being crushed, quickly said to Koraidon, "Hold the reins and try to inject your power into its body!"
"Ah gah ciss?!"
Koraidon widened its eyes, looking disbelief.
Its power... What kind of power does it have?
Hesitant, Koraidon tried to release its Dragon Type Energy from within.
However, nothing happened.
"Doesn't work?" Naoki furrowed his brows slightly. "Seems like other Pokémon cannot fuse with Glastrier through energy transfer..."
Seeing Glastrier about to collapse, Naoki hurriedly asked Koraidon to get down.
Glastrier was panting heavily with exhaustion.
Naoki looked apologetically at the horse. "Sorry, once Calyrex returns tomorrow, I'll ask Him to plant your favorite carrots for you."
The aggressive and arrogant Glastrier was almost fainting with anger due to this human letting the Pokémon ride it.
But hearing this, its attention was involuntarily drawn to carrots.
Naoki keenly noticed the change in Glastrier's expression, then extended five fingers. "I'll plant five hundred carrots! Enough for you to eat your fill!"
"Ice... ne-eigh!" Glastrier raised its neck and let out a whinny.
Hmph, that's more like it!
After all, it can't beat this Pokémon called Koraidon next to it, so why not surrender to this human offering carrots, just like it did with Calyrex years ago.
Naoki: "..."
This Glastrier sure knows when to yield and when to stand firm.
When facing opponents far stronger than itself, it will surrender to them, willingly becoming their steed.
And if the opponent's strength ever weakens, it might just abandon its owner and escape, like how it once left Calyrex.
This really left Naoki unsure of what to say for a moment.
Whatever!
It's getting late, and after running around busy all day, Naoki felt a bit tired, so he returned early to the room at the inn to rest.
Early the next morning, daylight broke.
Just after breakfast, Naoki saw Calyrex's figure appearing in a corner where no one noticed.
Calyrex glanced at him a few times, then turned around and floated away.
Naoki understood Calyrex's intent — He wanted him to go outside to talk!
"Let's go!"
Naoki returned Cyclizar to his Poke Ball, then grabbed the Reins of Unity, taking Koraidon and Glastrier to the cliff where the entire village could be seen.
Calyrex was already waiting there, and Naoki took out the prepared Translation Nuts Cake and ate it.
Then, he heard Calyrex say seriously, "I have finally figured out the location of my beloved steed!"
"Turns out Spectrier has made the Crown Shrine its base!"
"That was the place where I once spent time with it; due to the fear of recalling those beautiful memories, I have always deliberately avoided it, only to find Spectrier has taken advantage of my weakened power and claimed it as its own..."
Naoki listened silently, and seeing Calyrex frown, he spoke up, "Don't be angry, don't be angry. I made the Reins of Unity last night. Do you want to try it now?"
"I am not angry..."
Seeing the reins emitting a gentle glow, Calyrex gratefully said:
"Indeed, this is the Reins of Unity! I must once again express my gratitude to you! You have done enough for me; from now on, leave everything to me!"
As the words fell, Calyrex used Telekinesis to take the reins.
Once the reins were in Calyrex's hands, it flickered and appeared above Glastrier.
Calyrex swung the reins, wrapping them around Glastrier's neck.
In the next moment, the reins automatically merged with Glastrier, and a dazzling light radiated from both Calyrex and Glastrier.
