Although it seems like a Masked Hero that's not in the real cards, and appears to be just a Normal Monster without effects, it's fine because this card does indeed have the Masked Hero field!
As long as you can get a card with the Masked Hero field, this series is effectively unlocked in Youyu's system card pool!
However, Youyu quickly calmed down.
"This card...is not finished yet?" he realized the problem.
As mentioned before, every real Duel Monster card has a spirit, containing some extraordinary power, which is the biggest difference between a real card and the counterfeit goods made by bootleggers like the Ghouls.
No matter how advanced the technology used, even if a fake card is created that can be read and projected by the Duel Disc, a fake is still a fake, merely a lifeless object. Even a beginner-level Dark Duelist can distinguish the difference at a glance.

Being the Father of Duel Monsters himself and having something like the 'Toon Series', which looks cute but is practically useless, juggling card deck, and now he's gifting Youyu something as formidable as the Masked Heroes?
Well, that's not entirely accurate. Actually, in the early DM days, the deck Pegasus printed for himself was quite outstanding, but it just couldn't keep up with the evolving meta.
"Of course, it's just a suggestion." Pegasus spread his hands, "You can also refuse, Youyu Boy."
Naturally, Youyu had no reason to refuse here and promptly agreed.

It seems most likely that Yugi's daily life was also pretty affected after becoming the Duel King in the original series, but it just wasn't shown in the anime.

"Before this, he is still a special consultant for the Duel Monsters department of our Kaiba Company." Kaiba said coldly, "He has a work assignment to complete, and he can't go anywhere until it's done."
Youyu raised an eyebrow.
What? I have an assignment? What assignment?
How come I don't know about this?
However, for the sake of his boss's pride (and his paycheck), Youyu wisely kept his mouth shut without making a sound.
"All right." Pegasus didn't mind, smiling, "Then I'll be going back for today, and we can discuss the duel another time when there's another opportunity.
Consider the proposal accepted, Youyu Boy~. I'll arrange for someone to contact you later."
Saying this, Pegasus exited the card shop with his people, got on a helicopter, and quickly left.
