Chapter 1030 - Chapter 503: Teaching Observation (2)

When Nohara Rin realized the attack from Namikaze Minato, he swapped positions again using a kunai and delivered a violent elbow strike, knocking Rin down.

Since it was just training, Obito wasn't too panicked and immediately entered the Breath of Flame Chakra Mode.

In fact, with his current Chakra, the Breath of Flame Chakra Mode wouldn't last long.

Because Obito had opened his Sharingan shortly after the fight began and used quite a lot of Ninjutsu, consuming a considerable amount of Chakra.

But Obito really had no other choice, so he thought of taking a gamble.

Half a minute later, Obito was injured in the back and fell to the ground.

A few minutes later, all three, along with their Pokemon, were lying on the ground panting heavily.

"As expected, it doesn't work. The Flying Thunder God Jutsu can't be defended against," Obito couldn't help but complain.

He never thought he could succeed from the beginning; after all, their opponent was their guide teacher, a young strongman with great fame throughout the Ninja World.

However, being defeated so cleanly made Obito a bit unwilling.

"Once I learn the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, Kakashi will be defeated by me like this!" the optimistic Obito quickly comforted himself.

Teacher Mokgetsu had mentioned he would teach him the Flying Thunder God, but not now; it would require more growth over time.

Obito felt that with Mokgetsu teaching him, it's unlikely he wouldn't learn it.

"The Chakra is still not enough," Kakashi sighed inwardly.

If his Chakra had been abundant, he definitely wouldn't have been so embarrassed just now.

The limitation of Chakra forced him to make choices, using only certain Ninjutsu in battle; otherwise, he couldn't even initiate the Breath of Thunder Chakra Mode.

"You've done really well already. At your age, I wasn't as good as you," Namikaze Minato wiped the sweat from his forehead and praised with a smile.

Namikaze Minato wasn't exaggerating at all, Obito and Kakashi had already surpassed most Konoha Jonin.

Even Nohara Rin, whose combat power was slightly weaker, was considered among the stronger batch in terms of comprehensive ability among the Konoha Jonin.

At this moment, Namikaze Minato's mood was really complex.

He was naturally happy for Obito and the others, as he liked them very much.

But Namikaze Minato knew their excellence wasn't because of him as their guide teacher; it was Mokgetsu's credit.

So Namikaze Minato wondered if, without being separated from Obito and the others for extended periods due to war, they might have not been as excellent as they are now.

Because his teaching ability couldn't match Mokgetsu's.

This made Namikaze Minato a bit confused, how not taking responsibility turned out to be a good thing.

"Hehe, I think it's because the Toad uncle didn't have Teacher Mokgetsu's teaching, unable to bring out all of your potential, Watergate teacher," replied Obito joyfully with a chuckle.

Namikaze Minato didn't speak.

Although it felt a bit unfair to Jiraiya, Obito's words weren't fundamentally wrong.

However, Namikaze Minato felt that comparing anyone's teaching ability with Mokgetsu's would only end in such a result; Mokgetsu's teaching ability was just too extraordinary.

...

After the Observation special training class final list was confirmed, it quickly completed all procedures to officially commence classes.

The final special training list, including Namikaze Minato, totaled twenty-seven people, seven more than the initial twenty.

Among them were ninjas from the Root, certain Ninja Clans, and even relatives of Advisor Elders.

Though Mokgetsu hadn't identified all active Konoha ninjas, he had identified most of them.

Relying on good memory skills, Mokgetsu was familiar with those participating in the special training, even though it was only one-sided.

The Observation special training differed from previous training, with only three hours of classes each day, all in the morning.

It's not that Mokgetsu was unwilling to teach longer; rather, the nature of the training was different.

Previous training included aspiration breath techniques for Root and Anbu, and much more; the core purpose was to enhance strength.

But this special training was different, aiming for those Perception Ninja to learn Observation Haki.

Mokgetsu calculated that three hours of lesson time was the optimal teaching duration, as going beyond that would weaken the effect greatly.

Since Minato also had to attend class, on the first day, Mokgetsu and Minato walked to the training ground together.

"Sir Mokgetsu, Sir Minato," a few Perception Ninjas who arrived early greeted the pair.

The younger Perception Ninjas would refer to them as 'Sir,' while more senior Jonin would address 'Jonin' instead of 'Sir.'

Mokgetsu and Namikaze Minato responded with smiles.

Soon after, Namikaze Minato joined the ranks of Perception Ninjas, as he came to attend classes and couldn't always stand by the teacher.

"What I will teach you is a Perception Ninjutsu called Observation Haki. In learning this Perception Ninjutsu, you may discard prior experience with Perception Ninjutsu, as they differ significantly." After everyone assembled, Mokgetsu commenced formal instruction.

Even though Observation was localized as Perception Ninjutsu, the cultivation method significantly differed from the ninja world's Perception Ninjutsu.

Everyone nodded, taking note of Mokgetsu's words.

Before attending, they were advised by various people, understanding that this special training was important; mastering Observation Haki could be considered their mission.

"When you initially learn Observation Haki, you can sense Chakra within a certain range, detect attacks outside your line of sight, and more..." Mokgetsu then delved into a detailed explanation of Observation Haki's abilities.

This part was essential to prevent misconceptions of being able to perceive malice simply by learning Observation Haki.

"When Observation Haki reaches a certain realm, you can choose a direction for cultivation, such as pursuing broader range perception or depth and precision, with sensing malice being one such direction."

Namikaze Minato, having already studied Observation Haki with Mokgetsu for some time, showed no expression changes.

The other Perception Ninjas were visibly astonished.

Perhaps those unfamiliar with Perception Ninjutsu wouldn't find it remarkable, but to the adept Perception Ninjas, the strength of Observation Haki was instantly apparent.

They quickly understood why Observation Haki cultivation differed from ordinary Perception Ninjutsu; a Ninjutsu of such power following the same cultivation methods would indeed be strange.

Compared to ordinary Perception Ninjutsu, Observation Haki not only has abundant effects but also a high ceiling.

"During early Observation Haki cultivation, avoid using your eyes for observation; use mental senses to gather information."

After a brief explanation of Observation Haki's effects, Mokgetsu led the Perception Ninjas into formal Observation Haki cultivation.

Since the teaching duration wasn't particularly lengthy, Mokgetsu didn't set specific break times; they simply rested when tired.

"Today's lesson is over. Tomorrow at the same time here," Mokgetsu announced as the class ended precisely three hours later.

The Perception Ninjas stood bewildered, each displaying expressions of wanting more.

At this moment, they hoped Mokgetsu was a teacher prone to overtime, maybe to extend the lesson by another half hour.

Because Observation Haki was quite difficult, harder than any Perception Ninjutsu they had ever learned.

Of course, no one actually voiced a request for Mokgetsu to continue.

After all, this was Blazing Sun Mokgetsu, a force on the battlefield, teaching them Ninjutsu; they were fortunate already.

[Lecture Completed]

[Rating: S]

[Reward: Perception Understanding Enhanced, Observation Haki +10, Perception Ninpo +3]

Mokgetsu glanced at the lecture rewards, potentially less significant due to the short duration and limited number of ninjas.

Yet Mokgetsu wasn't overly concerned, as he wasn't truly relying on Observation to locate Zetsu; he used Identification Jutsu.

For Mokgetsu, this Anbu Squad Captain role wasn't about improving Observation Haki proficiency.

Rather, it allowed Mokgetsu to actively conduct various training sessions, elevating proficiency in whichever skills he wished.

Currently, Mokgetsu plans to organize a comprehensive Fuinjutsu training session to elevate his Fuinjutsu level.

To swiftly improve the Yang Seal, he requires higher Fuinjutsu proficiency.
