Training time ended.
Natsuhiko brought Togekiss, Chimchar, and a group of Eevee Cuties to inspect his Dojo once again.
Of course, there were also the hidden Latios and Dreepy.
They just couldn't reveal themselves for the time being, so they had to stay hidden.
Fifteen days had passed.
The external structure of the Dojo was already fully formed, and now it was time to adjust some internal structures and detail work.
One has to admit.
The construction team from Devon Company is really professional, managing to almost complete such a large Dojo in just a little over ten days.
Looking up.
There was a huge Bird House at the entrance, made entirely of stone, about seven or eight meters wide and less than twenty meters tall, with sculptures of the sibling duo Latios and Latias on top.
Just this Bird House took a few master sculptors in the construction team two days to make, ensuring that it was incredibly lifelike.
According to Natsuhiko's idea.
The Dojo is actually like a facility serving the general Trainers, and since it's serving, you have to make the facade and signage impressive, so it leaves a deep impression, leading to free promotion.
Beyond the Bird House was a cobblestone-paved path.
Nothing was on either side for now, just a layer of turf covering it.
The path was about twenty meters long, and the area in the middle gave Natsuhiko a lot of room for future creativity.
If conditions allowed, he might set up sculptures of all Dragon-type Pokémon on both sides of the path in the future, to fully showcase the features of this Dragon Dojo.
Further inside was the main building of this Dragon Dojo.
The entire style leaned toward ancient, fitting the cultural characteristics of the Sinnoh Region.
In Natsuhiko's view, the so-called ancient style of the Sinnoh Region was quite similar to the old European style in his eyes, mostly characterized by light brown walls as exteriors paired with some colorful glass as decorations.
The battle area of the Dojo, the area right from the entrance, had an overall height exceeding forty meters.
The purpose was to allow Flying Type Pokémon to perform freely during battles.
It was also designed for easy field replacement.
Of course, if you compare this forty-meter height horizontally to the width, the Dojo overall has a flattened structure, compliant with the standards of the league.
What pleased Natsuhiko the most was the top of the Dojo, where many workers and Pokémon were busy finishing the sculptures.
The outline was already somewhat visible.
On the roof of the Dojo stood two huge sculptures.
The one on the left was relatively lower, belonging to a Pokémon with limbs on the ground, while the one on the right was slightly taller, belonging to a bipedal Pokémon.
These, of course, represented Dialga and Palkia, which represented time and space in the Sinnoh Region's mythological lore.
That's right.
Natsuhiko boldly used these two Divine Beasts as the face of his Dojo, representing the Dragon Dojo.
His original idea was actually to sculpt a Rayquaza up there.
But upon further thought, since this is indeed the Sinnoh Region, the origin site of the myth, sculpting a Rayquaza, mainly prominent in Hoenn Region's mythology, might be a bit out of place.
So in the end, he simply had both of them hoisted up.
The main inspiration came from the Dialga and Palkia sculptures in the "Land of Dragons" of Shenhe Town.
Anyway, as Natsuhiko saw it, regardless of anything, having a statement work up there first was the priority.
The main facilities inside the Dojo were almost all in place.
The primary purpose of a Dojo is naturally the battle arena.
However, different opponents and different battle natures require different arena setups.
The largest arena not only installed devices for changing different terrains but also designed spectator seats accommodating a considerable number of people, with high-wattage direct lamps installed on top, which met the lighting needs of the site and could also be controlled by a console for spotlighting.
Such an arena was, naturally, the most important venue for the Dojo, not only used to welcome challengers but also sometimes serving as venues for small competitions.
Do not underestimate these small competitions.
They are one of the main sources of income for various city Dojos every year.
Otherwise, relying solely on the league's subsidies, even the annual electricity bills would make Natsuhiko grimace for quite a while.
The maintenance and upkeep costs of the arena were also a considerable annual expense.
However, this kind of arena was obviously not suitable for everyday use, so the Dojo was also equipped with several smaller arenas for daily challengers.
Then came some office areas of the Dojo.
Divided into several floors, the top floor belonged to Natsuhiko, the Gym Leader's personal office.
Beyond that lay Natsuhiko's personal area entirely.
Living alone in such a large place was somewhat of a luxury.
But it was fully equipped with a series of facilities needed for training, rest, relaxation, and entertainment.
Not only to meet Natsuhiko's needs but also to meet the needs of his few Pokémon.
For instance,
Togekiss requested an ice cream maker, completely living a life of ice cream freedom, even leading Latios and Little Dreepy down the "path of no return."
Another example,
Alakazam requested a Superpower Training Room, where everything inside restricted its psychic power.
There were also the shared Gravity Room for Beedrill and Doublade, and Chimchar's High-Temperature Chamber, among others.
