Chapter 928 - Chapter 120: Beauty (Double-Length)

The researchers were mostly on time, and once all the seats were filled, the academic exchange officially began.

This academic exchange could be considered the largest such event in recent years in the Pokémon Realm, encompassing all the renowned doctors and researchers from the six regions currently controlled by the League.

The host for this exchange was Professor Oak.

Alongside other well-known doctors.

First, each participant introduced their recent research and achievements.

After the conference began, Zhengu continued his conversation with Natsuhiko.

"Speaking of which, Mr. Natsuhiko, I have followed all your papers." Zhengu blushed, not sounding like flattery.

"Is that so? I'm truly honored," Natsuhiko responded with a smile.

"It's a pity that my research is quite niche, with not much substantial results."

When it came to her own work, Zhengu inevitably showed some disappointment.

Pokémon Dream Realm research.

Although it's also a meaningful direction, getting results isn't easy.

However, Natsuhiko didn't see it as useless.

Combining how Darkrai communicated information to him through dreams.

And through the dream realm created by Darkrai, he saw Giratina, a sensation almost tangible, like being present in that realm.

If utilized, letting Pokémon battle in dreams could undoubtedly enhance their combat experience.

And not just that.

Through dreams, one can gain some otherwise unattainable information.

For instance, the Elite Candidate Level Trainer who tried to assassinate Natsuhiko; if her Pokémon fell into the hands of someone skilled in manipulating the Pokémon Dream Realm, they could possibly learn something about Natsuhiko.

Additionally, going further in exploration.

If dreams could be used to inject humans or Pokémon with "realistic" dreams, it's possible this could alter the mindset of an individual or a Pokémon.

Previously, Natsuhiko quietly managed to change Joanna's mindset to some extent with the combined efforts of Aegislash and his psychic abilities, similar to how dreams can inject thoughts.

It's about guiding through the subconscious to change the thoughts of an individual or a Pokémon.

It greatly depends on the Pokémon's mental fortitude and whether there are gaps in their thinking to exploit.

Of course, this area is quite challenging and should not be pursued by an Alliance researcher.

Nevertheless, it's undoubtedly valuable research.

Natsuhiko tried to comfort the disappointed Zhengu by offering his understanding.

Despite her disappointment, Zhengu maintained a positive attitude.

Blinking in slight amazement, she looked at Natsuhiko, "I didn't expect you to have research in the Pokémon Dream Realm too, Mr. Natsuhiko?"

Natsuhiko admitted, "I've tried to understand it a little. I think this direction has many good research topics, but unfortunately, I haven't delved deep due to limited time."

Zhengu's eyes lit up.

"Really? If you have time, Mr. Natsuhiko, you can visit Sanyao City in the Unova Region. I can show you things many people don't believe in."

"If there's a chance, I will," Natsuhiko did not refuse.

The Pokémon Dream Realm.

It certainly is a direction not extensively explored by many.

Then the two shifted their attention back to the academic exchange.

The part that caught Natsuhiko's particular attention.

Was the shared presentation by Professor Elm and Dr. Yamanashi on the research concerning the "Egg Group."

From what they presented, it seemed that the "Egg Group" theory would soon be officially unveiled.

This is another significant research with profound implications for the entire Pokémon Realm.

"Speaking of this research, there's one person I must mention. He provided great inspiration to Dr. Elm and me and is an indispensable part of this study."

Dr. Yamanashi, holding the microphone, shared with a smile.

While many speculated on who it might be that could inspire both Dr. Yamanashi and Professor Elm, both renowned figures, Dr. Yamanashi didn't keep them in suspense.

"It's none other than Natsuhiko, also known to everyone as 'Dodo.'"

Surprised, astonished, and unexpected gazes fell on Natsuhiko.

Natsuhiko smiled sheepishly, nodding in acknowledgment of the attention.

"I heard from Sakuragi that Natsuhiko recently proposed a very bold hypothesis; let's listen to his hypothesis, shall we?"

Dr. Yamanashi then invited Natsuhiko to the stage.

This was the format of the conference.

Presenting one by one to share their research findings or plans.

Amid applause, Natsuhiko in a lab coat stepped onto the stage.

Sitting at the side in the audience section, Lance and his group couldn't help but comment upon seeing Natsuhiko in a lab coat.

"I must say, Natsuhiko wears the lab coat with style," Flint remarked.

"I'm curious what new things Natsuhiko will bring us this time," Hilona expressed her curiosity about what Natsuhiko would say next.

Standing on stage, Natsuhiko looked at the prominent figures in the research community below.

He probably never imagined back in Goldenrod City, when he was writing papers for money, that he'd one day be part of a conference with so many esteemed figures.

The benefits of this academic exchange are undeniable.

It allowed him to meet many big names in the research field.
