Jabra came out of the captain's room, glanced at the sky, and clicked his tongue, "What the hell is this!"
These special agents, what haven't they seen?
They've been Revolutionary Army members, King's Guards, merchants, bounty hunters, and taken on any profession for the sake of a mission.
They've never been pirates, but they've seen many pirates and know their nature. But a pirate like Sage...
This is truly the first time seeing one.
"Straighten your back and abdomen!"
"Stand properly!"
"Put some effort into that iron bar! Didn't you eat?"
Bang bang bang!
While Jabra was there sighing, Ajin's shouts rang out on the deck, showing a group of pirates gathered there, divided into two groups. One group was exercising, doing the most basic things like Navy Headquarters recruits do.
The other group stood straight, with two people per team, striking each other with iron bars, each strike full of force, wishing to smash someone's bones.
"What's this? Being punished? A pirate crew with such strict rules?" Jabra wondered.
"No..."
A child's voice sounded nearby.
Jabra looked down and saw near the deck by the first-floor building, a child with completely black eyes looking up, "They're practicing the Six Styles under General Commander Ajin's guidance."
"Six Styles?"
Only now did Jabra remember, that 'ghost' Ajin can use Six Styles!
There's no way; yesterday brought too many shocks, with O'hara and knowing about their CP9, making him overlook the Six Styles.
It's not surprising for pirates to know Six Styles; on the sea, there are always those exceptionally talented guys, who in battles with Navy skilled in Six Styles, manage to grasp the essence of Six Styles.
But mastering one of the Six Styles is normal; mastering all of them is rare. Not only that, now wants to teach them to his subordinates?
Is it that easy to learn?
As body techniques that surpass human physical limits, mastering all of them gives even Devil Fruit ability users power to fight. But the rigor of training and demands on personal qualifications aren't things ordinary people can manage.
And...
"What's this? Hitting each other, is it practicing Tekkai?" Jabra winced.
"Yes."
Las watched the pirates being taught by Ajin with envy, saying, "Ajin-sama says I'm still too young, my body is still growing, not suitable for such high-intensity training... When I grow up, I can learn this too!"
"Relying on such crude methods?" Jabra sneered.
Jabra is proficient in Six Styles, and an expert among them, with the most scientific training methods in the CP9 organization, so at a glance, he knew Ajin's teaching is very superficial.
It's forcing improvement of resistance to strikes to master blood flow control techniques; effective but too basic.
Six Styles, as techniques of 'superhumans,' require a solid foundation, one not attainable by those pirates engaged in clumsy training. Otherwise, every new recruit at Navy Headquarters could learn it.
If even the basic body qualities don't match up, there's no point mentioning training for Six Styles; the forced striking is so inefficient that Jabra couldn't bear to watch.
If he were to lead, he could use scientific methods to train these people.
But why should he teach?
Just a group of pirates; what does it matter if they die?
"You kid, don't learn from them, it'll ruin you." Jabra glanced at Las, giving advice considering he's young.
On their hometown Crown Island, there are many kids like this, all aspiring CP9, so he has some patience for the kids.
Las shook his head, "If I don't learn, I can't become stronger."
Eight-year-old Las, two years younger than Renedia, is not an ability user. Though talented, Sage believes he will lead the Demon Race when grown, but for now, he's too young.
He doesn't participate in robberies, just stays on the ship.
"I could care less; it's your problem if you get ruined." Jabra shrugged.
"Ruined?"
Ajin, who was training the pirates, turned around, glanced coldly at Jabra, saying, "I don't think so; only those who can endure truly qualify to become strong. Captain Sage said the true Six Styles practice is harsh, being ruined like you say is still better than being dead."
Jabra grinned wickedly, "Six Styles are inherently non-human skills, if you can't handle it, just quit, why should someone who's afraid of death qualify to be a 'superhuman'? Your training method is crude, gentle, only producing trash!"
"Say what you want, but I'm the one training now, if you don't agree, you can train yourself." Ajin said calmly.
"Hey, you think provoking me will make me reveal the best Six Styles practice method? I'm not that dumb!" Jabra smiled proudly.
Really think he's foolish?
No way he'd fall for such provocations; he's a special agent!
"If you don't dare, forget it."
Ajin finished speaking and ignored him, turning back to training.
But this attitude only made Jabra more irritated.
This guy...
Kind of like that arrogant Lucci!
"Who says I don't dare! You, with lower Doriki than me, look down on me, me, Jabra the Great, holding the most advanced Six Styles practice method!"
