"During the opponent's attack declaration, randomly select a card from your hand. If it's a Monster Card, Special Summon it directly to the field. If not, send it to the graveyard."
Judai currently has four cards in his hand, all of which he drew this turn through the effect of "Nightmare Mirage Tower." So this couldn't be a strategy he prepared last turn, since drawing a Monster Card and what monster is theoretically random.
Of course, to a true Duelist, everything is inevitable.
"Still confident in your luck, are you?" Yugen smiled.
"Haha, indeed. But to be cautious..." Judai said, "Chain the activation of the Speed Attack Magic 'Emergency Food,' send the Magic Trap Cards on my field to the graveyard, recovering 1000 Life Points for each one.
I send the 'Nightmare Mirage Tower' on the field and the currently activated 'Hero's Visit' to the graveyard, recovering 2000 Life Points."

Judai swiftly drew three cards from the top of his deck.
"I send three cards to the graveyard; Card Defenders' Defense Power increases by 1500!"

Of course, this amount of Defense Power doesn't make a difference against Silent. His purpose wasn't to increase Defense Power itself but to blindly send three resources to the graveyard.

The Magic Light Bullet fell, quickly piercing the tiny shield, and Card Defenders exploded.
"Then I'll set two more cards, and end the turn," Yugen said.
"Alright, then my turn, draw card!"
Judai glanced at the card he drew, immediately playing it.
"Magic Card 'Hope of the Fifth Act'! Shuffle five 'Elemental Hero' cards from your graveyard back into your Deck, then draw two cards."
The cards in the graveyard popped out one by one in golden light.
"I shuffle back Elemental Hero 'Wingman,' 'Blast Lady,' 'Clayman,' 'Bubble Hero,' 'Golden Blade Hero.'"
Five cards returned to the Deck, and Judai quickly shuffled them before reinserting into the Duel Disc.
"Then draw two cards!"
"Free Ride's effect," Yugen said, "When the opponent draws outside of the Draw Phase, I draw two cards."
"Activate 'Pot of Greed'!" Judai drew cards and immediately revealed another one from his hand, "Draw two cards from the Deck."
Yugen laughed: "Then I'll draw two cards as well."
Yugen increasingly felt his judgment was correct; this Continuous Trap, obscure in the real card environment, was incredibly powerful in the animated world. In this relatively slower environment with fewer Special Summons, it's more useful than the later most notorious "Multiplying G."
Moreover, the opponent's situation facing this card is similar to the competitive environment's age-old dilemma of whether to 'give in to G.'
Without a combination to break the current situation, doing nothing might mean getting KO'd next turn by the opponent. Accelerating draw might turn the tide, but also risks feeding cards to the opponent.
In some ways, Free Ride is almost the animation-environment-exclusive version of "Multiplying G."
Judai glanced at the new combination he drew and smiled again: "Haha, even my Deck says it's enjoying this duel.
You're really strong, unbelievably strong, Yugen. But the stronger you are, the more it fires me up..."
"You're impressive too." Yugen smiled.
Not a commercial exchange of compliments, but truly heartfelt.
Being able to use such numerous odd combinations so effectively, it's no wonder his innate card talent is terrifying...
"It's a must. And to live up to the highly anticipated duel, I must become stronger and do better.
