Scrap Warrior, Attack Power 4600!
Facing the strongest phantom demon as his opponent, Yusei reveals his ace trap card for a desperate counterattack!
Yusei holds his breath.
Can... he defeat the phantom demon?
"Hahaha! As expected of Yusei Fudo, your trap card technique is quite skilled."
But then he changes his tone.
"However, it's not just your 'warrior' that possesses the power of trap cards."
Yusei feels a chill, sensing something amiss: "What?"
"Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil, as the strongest phantom demon, let me show you a special experience!"
Yugen plays another card, and as the card is raised, an endless sacred blue light bursts forth from Katu, releasing earth-shattering energy.
The card resonates with the Phantom Demon Emperor!
"Release the true power of the Phantom Demon Emperor!" Yugen declares, "Discard 'Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil - Celestial Tyranny Fist' from your hand, activate the effect!"
Yusei is shocked: "A monster effect activated from the hand, too?"
It's actually the same type of ability as his, and it's a card exclusive to the Phantom Demon Emperor with the same name!
"The effect of Celestial Tyranny Fist, discard this card from the hand, can double the attack power of 'Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil' on your field during this turn only!" Yugen explains, "And this effect can also be activated during the opponent's turn."
The 5DS trio: "What!?"
It's also an attack power doubling!
It's really the same type of trap card as Yusei's...
[Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil, Attack Power 4000 → Attack Power 8000]
It's truly like a punch that shatters the celestial realm, phantom demon's knuckles suddenly condense infinite deep blue flashes, countless swirling dark blue vortices appear on the punch's edge. Dominant energy turns into a tsunami, seemingly bursting through the fissure of the Otherworld. But it's not real water flow, rather, an immeasurable roar of vast energy embodies itself, the entire domain twists like a deep-sea visual pressure as the punch is swung.
Boom——
Even boosted with amplified Scrap Warrior can't resist at all, his steel giant punch fragments upon impact with the Phantom Demon's double fists, shattering into countless pieces scattering everywhere.
Yusei: "Ugh ah!"
[Clero/Jack/Yusei, LP 11000 → LP 7600]
The shared Life Points of the three are equally affected by the impact damage. Over three thousand massive damage accompanied by real impact almost knocked the trio to the ground. If it were a riding duel, probably ninety percent of D-wheeler hands would struggle to withstand such damage, likely overturning.
Clero clutches his ribs, gritting his teeth: "What kind of guy is this, Yusei's impressive setup was immediately met with counterattack..."
Jack also grudgingly says: "Does it mean this guy's power is more than all of ours combined!?"
"It's not over yet, the strongest phantom demon isn't just that level."
Yugen laughs while adding.
"Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil - Celestial Tyranny Fist, has even further effects!
The freed Phantom Demon Emperor, in this turn, can attack each opponent's monster once!"
The trio changes color again.
What!?
Attack Power 8000, and can attack multiple times...
"This is ridiculous!?" Clero is shocked.
Yusei also says: "This is the power of the phantom demon, Godwin's strength..."
Yugen suggests, sit down, sit down, basic operation. He remembers there's an Overload Dragon which can attack twenty thousand times, attacking more than ten times in one turn is normal.
Compared to this, it's just a minor scene.
Yugen waves: "Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil, now attack Jack's 'Red Lotus Demon Dragon'!"
Second punch!
A punch shattering space, like a cannon blast penetrating heaven and earth. Jack's pride and joy, his Tamashi Red Lotus Demon Dragon, under this punch is as insignificant as a fly, utterly helpless.
"Ahhhhh——"
[Clero/Jack/Yusei, LP 7600 → LP 2600]
The impact shockwave sweeps across the arena, the Red Lotus Demon Dragon is easily extinguished in flames, the three are also blown away again.
Leo is stunned.
"It's... too strong..."
It's the first time he feels, no matter if Yusei and the others join forces, there's still such a large gap compared to that presence high on the altar.
Luna is also disheartened: "It's no use, we can't win. Against such an enemy..."
Seeing his sister's despair, Leo quickly regains his spirit, encourages her: "What are you saying! Yusei and the others... Dragon Sealers won't lose!"
But even as he comforts her verbally, his heart is filled with unease.
Can they really win against this kind of opponent?
"Well, although the Phantom Demon Emperor can still continue attacking..."
Yugen's gaze sweeps over the three's field, landing on Clero's "Black Feather - Armored Wings".
"Well, but Armored Wings cannot be destroyed by battle, and the battle damage when fighting with it is 0, so attacking would be meaningless. I give up on attacking."
Yugen shrugs.
The trio's hanging hearts finally relax a bit.
They're really fortunate Clero's Armored Wings are on the field; otherwise, any other monster Phantom Demon's third punch would wipe them out completely.
Yugen: "End of turn, Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil's Attack Power returns to normal."
[Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil, Attack Power 8000 → Attack Power 4000]
Clero: "Then it's my turn again!"
But Clero's momentum is far less than before now. Godwin's strong performance, Phantom Demon's appearance, it's like the whole duel's momentum stands on the opposite side. Despite being a top-notch Duelist, in the end, he's still a mortal, and facing the phantom demon here brings tremendous pressure.
Clero shakes his head.
No matter what, he absolutely cannot drag Yusei and Jack down.
"I special summon 'Black Feather Black Spear Blaster'!"
The black bird beast warrior appears with a swirling tornado of black feathers, a spiral spear from its hand thrusting out transparent vortex.
[Black Feather Black Spear Blaster, Attack Power 1700]
Yugen says: "Then at this moment, Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil's effect also activates.
When the opponent summons, special summons, flips summons a monster, special summon the same number of 'Phantom Demon Derivatives' on my field." (Original effect)
The physical card was changed so that it only activates during the opponent's normal summon, the animation version worked regardless of how the opponent summoned.
[Phantom Demon Derivative, Defense Power 1000]
"By the way." Yugen laughs, "Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil's effect is, by releasing two monsters on my field, absorbs the Attack Power of those two monsters until the end of the turn."
Yusei: "Does that mean, when we summon monsters, the Phantom Demon Emperor summons corresponding quantities of derivatives. Ultimately, these derivatives can transform into the Phantom Demon's power..."
"Even if I'm not a Dragon Sealer, Clero's battle spirit will never be inferior to Yusei's!" Clero shouts.
Yusei is somewhat moved: "Clero..."
Clero shouts: "Battle! Black Feather Armored Wings, attack 'Phantom Demon Emperor Rabil'!"
