Chapter 1034 - Chapter 780: The Stolen Wand (3)

George was talking about the Eavesdropping Ear, a little gadget specifically used for eavesdropping. They used it to overhear a lot of meeting content before they graduated.

But this time, Dumbledore clearly anticipated this and took precautions against them.

In the meantime, many people had already stood up from their seats and left, their faces solemn.

At this moment, Kael also saw Dumbledore, who just came out of the room, and Dumbledore saw Kael too.

"I was just wondering where you had gone," he said softly. "If you hadn't come back in an hour, I might have asked Mr. Weasley to find you."

"I went back to organize my packages," Kael said.

"I understand." Dumbledore smiled, "Today is your birthday, after all, you should take stock of the gifts you received. So, do you like the gift I gave you?"

"It's quite good, but..." Kael's tone was a bit strange, "I don't know about others, but I personally rarely wear short sleeves directly knitted from wool in summer."

Indeed, Dumbledore's gift was a wool-knit short sleeve. To be honest, when Kael received this gift, he was a bit bewildered and thought for a long time but couldn't figure out when to wear it.

First of all, he certainly couldn't wear a thick wool short sleeve in summer; it's too hot. As for winter... he usually wears long sleeves.

"Doesn't matter, you'll find a time to wear it," Dumbledore said. "If you have time now, there's something I want to talk to you about. We should be able to catch dinner afterward."

"Of course, no problem." Kael nodded and followed Dumbledore into the room.

Fred and George also wanted to follow, but just as they reached the door, it slammed shut.

"Again..." Fred said through gritted teeth, "Why can even Kael?"

"He's a year younger than us," George complained loudly, and Harry and the others echoed beside them, but no one answered them.

People who had just arrived not long ago got up and left again, and soon it was peaceful once more.

Meanwhile, Kael entered the room, and as soon as he sat down, he heard Dumbledore speak in a very calm tone, faintly saying, "I guess you're curious about what happened yesterday."

"Yes." Kael nodded, his gaze instinctively went to Dumbledore's arm, which hung powerlessly by his side. "Were you injured?"

"Just a small injury, no need to worry," Dumbledore said lightly. "A special Cursed Magic that can strip a wizard of the perception of part of their body. Tom has always been talented in such peculiar abilities."

"Can it be cured?" Kael asked, which was what he was most concerned about.

Dumbledore was the backbone of the Order of Phoenix, or the entire British Magical Realm. If something happened to him, who would deal with Voldemort? Surely not Harry, the Savior.

No matter how Kael looked at it, he didn't think Harry could defeat Voldemort. It seemed impossible; based on Harry's usual performance, whether he could beat Bellatrix was uncertain.

His favorite spell was the Disarming Spell, but compared to the Killing Curse, Kael thought that was simply wishful thinking, even overturning common sense.

Instead of placing hope on the title of the "Savior," Kael might as well go to France to find Conna; at least it would be safer there.

If all else fails, he could go to Nicolas Flamel's old house; Voldemort certainly wouldn't find it.

"No worry, Cecily is brewing a Magic Potion for me, but it might take a bit longer," Dumbledore suddenly smiled when saying this, "All thanks to you."

"Me?" Kael asked puzzledly, "What does it have to do with me?"

"To be precise, it's the Basilisk's Venom you gave."

Dumbledore explained, "In the antidote Cecily is using, Basilisk's Venom is the main ingredient. This substance has miraculous effects on injuries caused by Dark Magic, in some specific cases even more effective than Phoenix's Tears."

"That's good," Kael said, feeling relieved upon hearing Dumbledore was alright.

"So what exactly happened yesterday?" Kael asked curiously.

"Tom set a trap..." Dumbledore said softly, "My wand was taken."
