Chapter 1188 - Chapter 832: The Generous and Mysterious Wizard (Part 2)

However, this didn't pose a challenge for Kai, as he went up to the third floor and found the hunchback witch statue from his memory.

As expected, the secret passage was still there.

Kai took out his wand.

"Dissendium."

The hunchbacked area of the witch slowly split open, revealing a pitch-dark tunnel.

The other side of this tunnel led to Honeyduke's Sweet Shop. Since Hogwarts was still conducting final exams, there were very few people here, only a middle-aged wizard sitting behind the counter, carefully checking the quantities of various candies.

Kai, who had gone invisible beforehand, tiptoed past him and walked out of the candy store. After thinking it over, he boldly returned.

"Oh, a guest, welcome." The owner stood up and said curiously, "A Hogwarts student? Shouldn't you be taking exams?"

"I've graduated." Kai said with a smile.

"Oh, sorry, I thought you were still a student." The owner said, "Would you like anything? I can give you a decent discount."

"Let's go with some classic candies then." Kai said, "The most popular ones."

"If we're talking about the most popular, it would definitely be Explosive Chocolate and Raspberry Bee Sugar."

"Can I try them?" Kai asked, "Of course, I will pay."

"Try them?" The owner was a bit puzzled. These were the shop's bestsellers, and their prices were quite fair, selling by the bucket on a weekly basis. If he were a Hogwarts student, he shouldn't have never tried them.

But he didn't think much of it, assuming Kai was so broke during school that he couldn't afford candies.

He immediately took a box from the shelf, selected some candies, and handed them to Kai.

"Go ahead and eat them, it's on me, no payment needed."

"Thanks." Kai picked up a chocolate ball and tossed it into his mouth. As soon as he bit down, it exploded in his mouth, followed by a rich roasted steak flavor.

Steak-flavored chocolate was a bit strange, but the taste was still acceptable, much like another form of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean.

As for those Raspberry Bee Sugars, not only did they look like bees, but they could fly. Once the box was opened, they could fly for six hours, and when you wanted to eat them, you simply opened your mouth and the bee sugars would fly in on their own, both amusing and tasty.

"I'll take them all."

Kai placed twenty Gold Coins on the table.

"Twenty Galleons?" The owner was startled, "Isn't that a bit too much?"

He thought the guy before him was a poor fellow who suddenly got money and was indulging in revenge spending.

"It's fine, I'm gifting them to friends." Kai said, "Help me pack them, and add some other classic candies."

With Kai's insistence, the owner still nodded and busied himself.

After twenty minutes, he finally carried a huge parcel to the counter.

Looking at the parcel large enough to fill a cart, Kai was a bit dumbfounded...

Twenty Galleons, could buy this many candies?

Until he saw the price tag on the shelf, a large chunk of Chocolate Cauldron was marked at two Sickles, whereas during his school days, the same-sized Chocolate Cauldron would have cost at least twelve Sickles.

Kai patted his forehead, he'd forgotten it was a hundred years ago now, and though the Galleons were the same, prices were relatively cheaper.

No wonder the owner gave him such a weird look.

But since he'd already bought them, it wasn't appropriate to return them, so Kai simply took out his wand and had the huge parcel float by his side as he walked out of the shop.

But when he reached the door, he suddenly stopped.

"What's this?" He pointed at a twig on the shelf.

The twig had several stupid-looking beetles crawling on it, it was hard to imagine such a thing would appear in a candy store.

"Oh, that's our new product, Beetle Skewer." The owner seemed delighted, chuckling as he said, "The twig is chocolate, the beetle is brown sugar, once bitten open you can taste jumping fruit bits... This was my little daughter's idea, she's only three this year."

"Sounds great." Kai said, "I'll take a box of these too."

"Do you really like it?" The owner's eyes lit up, "While it does taste good, many people can't accept its appearance, saying it's too realistic."

"Of course." Kai said, "I'll take a box, how much?"

"No charge, consider it a gift for our big customers." The owner quickly took out a hefty big box, "If you like it, feel free to come back."

"Thanks." Kai didn't refuse.

After leaving Honeydukes, he went to a secluded place and stuffed all those candies into his trunk.

Then, he leisurely wandered around Hogsmeade instead of rushing to Godric's Hollow.

The current Hogsmeade wasn't very different from what he remembered, the shop facades hadn't changed much at all.

But the interior differences were significant.

For instance, Three Broomsticks.

Now, of course, the owner wasn't the charming Ms. Rosmerta, but a middle-aged wizard with a stern face, seemingly always unhappy, even though Kai was the only customer in the shop, he didn't receive any pleasant expressions.

Though the drink flavors were still great.

The Butter Beer had a rich taste, warming him up with just a sip, so Kai bought a hundred cups at once.

When the time comes, simply put them in the box and wrap the bottles with Bubble-Head Charm, ensuring they won't spoil.

A hundred cups of Butter Beer, along with various other drinks and liquors, cost less than fifty Galleons in total, which was quite a deal.
