Leo's POV
I don't go home.
Not after everything.
Not after her.
The penthouse feels wrong without Lana.
Too clean.
Too quiet.
Too empty.
So I stay at the office.
Work. Meetings. Calls.
Anything to avoid thinking.
It doesn't work.
My phone buzzes on the desk.
Unknown number.
I almost ignore it.
Almost.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Leo Ayden?"
The voice is formal. Cold.
"Yes."
"This is from the financial investigation department. We need you to come in for questioning."
My brows furrow.
"About what?"
A pause.
Then—
"Fraud."
Silence.
"There must be a mistake," I say calmly.
"You can explain that when you get here."
The line cuts.
I stare at the phone.
Processing.
Fraud?
Impossible.
Unless—
Mick.
A slow, dangerous realization settles in.
This isn't random.
This is planned.
And I walked right into it.
I grab my coat without hesitation.
No panic.
No fear.
Just clarity.
If this is his move…
Then I'll end it.
But as I step out of the office—
My phone lights up again.
Kelvin.
I answer immediately.
"What happened?" he asks.
"How do you—"
"I just got a call too," he cuts in. "Something's off, Leo. This isn't normal."
"I know," I reply. "It's him."
Silence.
Then—
"Mick?"
"Yes."
Kelvin exhales sharply.
"This is bad."
"I'll handle it."
"Leo—" he stops me. "Be careful. This isn't just personal anymore."
I already know that.
Because for the first time—
This isn't just about Lana.
This is about everything.
