Recovery week ended the way everything ended in the Pavilion.
With White's voice cutting through the morning air like a blade.
"Arena. Now."
Jayde dragged herself out of bed, ribs only slightly protesting. Green's healing had done its work. The injuries were gone, replaced by that peculiar soreness that came from accelerated tissue regeneration. Not pain exactly. Just awareness that her body had been broken and put back together.
[Are we fighting?] Reiko asked, instantly awake and alert. He'd grown accustomed to the Pavilion's routines. Food came regularly. Soft beds appeared when needed. And White's voice meant training.
"We're training," Jayde corrected, pulling on her armor. The Ranger Set felt comfortable now, familiar. Like a second skin. "There's a difference."
