"Okay, now let's execute the plan. Use as much power as you can in this firecharge." Si-Hun said already starting to make his.
"Okay."
They both used a great amount of their powers, sure, it had some drawbacks like dizziness and muscle fatigue, but they had to do it to save their teammates.
What good were they if they couldn't even back their teammates up?
This was like a battlefield; each soldier was bound to their comrades' well-being.
They both were swinging their hands and putting as much power as they could, trying not to make any sound that could attract attention.
Their legs were shaking.
They finally made their fire charges.
"Now, it's time, we have to do this, we can only hope for the better," Si-Hun whispered.
"Yeah, we need to be careful cause you know what can happen if we merge our abilities, we can die if we are not cautious."
"Be careful, 1…2…3 Merge."
They both merged their powers together and closed their eyes.
Then, boom! They both had successfully merged their magic after holding it for about 2 minutes.
"We didn't die!" Jae-Un said, relieved.
At this point, because the fire charge's bright light could attract the goblins, they decided to execute step 1.
"Let's aim at the goblin's eyes, Jae-Un."
They finally moved from behind the Red–Eyed Goblin's throne and moved cautiously as if every step held the weight of their teammates' death and their own protection.
Then finally,
They were almost in front of the goblin, just at a tilted angle, and
Boom!
They shot at the goblin's eyes.
There was a huge blast from the power of the merged fire charges.
Bright orange and red light was scattered all across the room.
The goblins noticed it and quickly ran towards their boss, leaving behind three of the predators that were still alive.
"Quickly! Teleport near Seo-Jun! and ask him and any other hypnotizer if there is one alive to quickly perform the sound erecter (a powerful ability in which the monsters ears starts to ring with such high decibals that the monster goes mad and eventually dies but this ability is time consuming and high level) ability on the boss goblin, if he's dead, then it would be a piece of cake to kill the smaller ones." Si-Hun said.
"Okay, I'm going; you stay hidden."
"Hmph."
And then Jae-Un teleported near Seo-Jun and some other predators and quickly told them to use the sound erector.
"Okay! But I would need a few minutes to perform it as it's very hard for anyone of my rank to execute properly." Seo-Jun spoke.
"Take your time, hopefully they do not divert their attention in the meantime."
Seo-Jun began his work, and everything was going fine with them until…
A loud groan.
It was the Boss Goblin, and he was fuming.
His vision was partially back.
Then, he spotted Si-Hun standing near his throne, and he knew it was him.
Suddenly, the Goblin stood up from his throne and took a step toward Si-Hun.
"Si-Hun... He's in danger, perform your spell quickly!"
Seo-Jun increased his pace, and it took effort very much as it was an energy-draining ability.
The goblin abruptly took Si-Hun in his grip.
Si-Hun's eyes widened in horror as that giant thing held him up.
"Ahhh, bastard! f*cking leave me!" He shouted.
The goblin was strong, and his grip was tightening.
Si-Hun's body was being squished to a level where he couldn't breathe; he could hear his own bones cracking with his ears.
His organs were compressing.
He spat a lot of blood because of the pressure.
He was very near death when suddenly the Boss goblin started groaning very loudly, and he dropped Si-Hun, but Jae-Un teleported to his side and caught him before he could hit the ground.
Everything was chaotic.
The Boss Goblin was moving here and there relentlessly putting his foot on whatever was beneath him.
Si-Hun's state was very severe. He was almost dead, almost.
"Everyone! Leave the chamber through that gate!" One of the few predators that survived shouted.
The predators who were alive started running helplessly towards the gate, and everyone got out except Jae-Un and Si-Hun, who were lying almost unconscious in Jae-Un's arms.
"Wait! I need to give him the recovery and regeneration potion first so he doesn't die."
"We're sorry! But we can't risk our lives, we're leaving." With that...they left.
Human turned their backs on humans, a comrade turned its back on its comrade.
Those who leave the battlefield are not true soldiers.
Jae-Un didn't have time to react, and he quickly gave Si-Hun the potions.
After taking the potions, Si-Hun had a little strength, just enough to keep him alive until they got out of the portal.
He opened his eyes slowly and saw himself in Jae-Un's arms.
Just then
Thud!
The boss Goblin fell, missing the place where Si-Hun and Jae-Un were by a few feet.
The sound erector worked.
In no time, the walls started cracking.
"We're gonna die here!" Jae-Un shouted
"We won't, we can make it o-out alive….w-we should..have faith in ourselves," Si-Hun spoke in his husky voice.
"Finish what we started together...even i-if it means only one of us was successful." He continued.
"I can walk, I'm behind you, you go, and thanks for giving me the potions, you saved my life," Si-Hun said.
"N-no, you risked your life to save ours! You're a true warrior, Si-Hun!" Jae-Un screamed, the corner of his eyes slightly wet.
"Go! If you won't, then we're both gonna die here! I promise, I'll come back." Si-Hun assured.
"O-okay, I trust you, bud. You will treat me to ramen later!" He said, almost crying.
"Okay! Now go!"
With that, Jae-Un left. Again, Si-Hun was all alone. It was like destiny wanted him to be alone and suffer alone.
"What did I do to deserve such an ending?" He thought.
Si-Hun let Jae-Un go because he was already fatigued, and he had used so much of his power already, he wouldn't have been able to carry him back.
At that moment, a goblin came charging at Si-Hun, but Si-Hun wasn't so easily losing.
He stood up, slowly, and looked at the goblin; his eyes were so tired yet so tense.
He killed that goblin with one punch to his face.
His whole body was lousy.
Like that, other goblins were attacking Si-Hun one by one, by Si-Hun wasn't going to die so helplessly.
"I AM NOT LOSING AGAINST YOU BASTARDS! YOU ALL WILL DIE BY MY HANDS!" He said, screaming with all his might.
He wasn't ready to give up anytime soon.
Even with the body of a weak guy, he had the mind of a warrior.
"I'M TAKING DOWN ALL OF YOU! I'M NOT F*CKING WEAK! I WILL DO IT! I CAN! I WON'T STOP EVEN IF LATER MY CORPSE IS LAYING HERE, BUT IT WILL BE AFTER I KILL ALL OF YOU!"
He said, holding so much emotion in a few sentences, which held power he never had physically.
The mind is full of feelings, emotions, secrets, betrayals, everything a human has ever experienced, and if it's out, then it is more dangerous than anything.
With that, he again made a fireball using all the energy he had left in his body.
The impact of the fireball was very high because of the mental state of the user; it was unusually powerful and bright.
The emotions of the users were very strong.
The emotions, if too strong, could impact the outcome of the powers, making them even more extraordinary, but it was very rare.
This type of thing was called mental awakening, and it only happened to an extremely low number of people.
Si-Hun was maxed out on adrenaline. Too much adrenaline in the bloodstream.
The urge to keep fighting and all the emotions he kept in a chamber were now out.
He couldn't lose this time.
"I, WON'T, LOSE!" He groaned, utterly determined to the core.
This determination was something even he himself hadn't ever encountered, but it wasn't so random either. It was full of sheer will.
His body had given up on him, but his soul hasn't.
He killed every goblin in that chamber, not surrendering to fear.
He was very weak, but he managed to get out of there before the whole place collapsed.
Walking was like a whole obstacle.
He was very tired, still not ready to give up.
He dragged himself out of that portal, each step weighing heavier than the last.
He couldn't think state.
His mind had almost shut down, and his heart was on the verge of stopping.
When he came out of the portal, he collapsed, and before passing out, he saw a few high-ranking predators and ambulances.
All of this shit was terrific. Si-Hun had been in one or two accidents like this, but they were not as horrific and dangerous as here.
