The Sea of Origin behind remained chaotic, with no one able to see the scene inside. However, everything before him gradually faded the smile on Su Ming's face.
The Origin Wall was not repaired by the Green Lanterns; instead, the breaches on it had widened. Even when Su Ming looked to the other side of the gaps, he couldn't see the bloodied statues fixed to the wall.
There were no Green Lantern Heroes in cosmic space, and their whereabouts were unknown, yet everything felt as if it were dead, and the entire world was silent.
"What is going on..."
Su Ming floated quietly in space, still at the edge of the Blood Domain, where he could see all the parallel worlds.
His first thought was that Barbatos had fled, then he immediately checked the Dark Multiverse.
In reality, everything appeared tranquil and harmonious there, even more so than in the Bright Multiverse.
Darkness surrounded him; he only felt cold. The silence in cosmic space made him fall into silence as well.
Before he crossed over, DC comics had only reached "No Longer Justice," and after that, he knew nothing of what had transpired in the world.
Now, the cosmos was clearly in big trouble, with various Bright Multiverses appearing dim and bleak, something was poised to happen.
After calculation, Su Ming abandoned his plan to visit Cindy on Earth -11 first; he decided to head to Earth 0 to see what trouble the Justice League was up to.
...............
All these events happened seemingly without warning to many people.
It broke free from its restraints, gained life, and flew towards its goal, Earth.
It existed on every timeline, in every world; countless people had witnessed its presence but had no means to counter it.
Behind it, the shredding of space-time fluttered like roadside dust.
It was a beam of light, a blazing flame, a comet, drifting in the pitch-black cosmos for billions of years.
It came from beyond the Origin Wall, from the chaos that birthed everything, carrying doom and revelation, flying towards its target.
...............
Washington, D.C., Hall of Justice.
This majestic dome-shaped building glimmered in the morning light, with its pristine walls and bright window sills containing every element loved by the heroes.
It emitted gentle yet bright radiance, like a giant lighthouse visible even from outer space.
People believed it was constructed with marble and used some 'superhero' abilities, but in reality, its stones were transported by Clark from the Butterfly Nebula 170,000 light-years away.
It was a dying star system, devoid of life, yet this white, special calcite could absorb and store light.
As people could see, it made the Hall of Justice glow like daylight even on moonless nights.
After defeating Barbatos, Bruce had been planning to establish such a location to commemorate the great act of people worldwide joining forces with X Metal to save the world.
The previous Justice League headquarters had been an old residence of the Wayne Family, but it clearly didn't meet current requirements.
Batman negotiated with the United Nations and the United States, finally finding a suitable location in Washington, money always worked wonders.
In just a few days, the new Hall of Justice was completed.
Not only was it the new base for the Justice League, but it also included a public area as an exhibition hall, open to all visitors without tickets, allowing anyone to explore and understand the masked heroes.
Understand the heroes' beliefs and learn about the goals for which they fight.
Pushing open the wide glass doors, the first thing one sees is a row of heroes' uniforms, not only belonging to members of the Justice League but all heroes with hearts of justice.
The replicas of their uniforms were worn by mannequins, displayed on tiered platforms, facing every visitor to the Hall of Justice.
Beyond the heroes standing on tiered platforms, there were spacious exhibition halls with glass cases of various sizes presenting the Justice League's spoils over the years.
Such as weapons seized from certain Demons, or scissors owned by a Troublemaker that could cut through timelines.
Of course, these artifacts have had their powers erased by the heroes, confirmed safe before being displayed here.
Yet, it's possible these are replicas, while the originals are hidden somewhere, known only by Batman.
Nevertheless, at the time of the Hall of Justice's completion inspection, a United Nations Security Council member summoned Batman, hoping he could explain how the safety of these exhibits would be ensured, with the stipulation that he refrain from saying: 'Because I'm Batman.'
Batman responded with, "If anyone doubts... then let them try themselves."
Barry could confidently say that while Batman answered the question, if only for an instant, he saw in Divine Speed that which exists only in biological theory—Batman's smile.
In the end, all public areas received approval from the Security Council, but the public area was just the tip of the iceberg of this vast building.
In many more secretive regions, no one could say how many secrets were hidden.
There's a hidden door leading to the heroes' command and activity area; acquiring permission from the Mars Hunter's mind is required to see this door.
Ordinary people were unaware of all this, and many children, even adults, regarded it as a treasure hunt game, tirelessly searching for the door handle to enter the mysterious world.
One of the most popular rumors claimed that the hidden door was nestled behind the grand fountain in the style of the Kro planet.
..................
The truth was quite the opposite; that rumor was a smoke bomb released by Batman.
The hidden door was actually beneath the fountain, and to reach it, one had to pass two other hidden doors forged by Steel Bone and Fire God Hephaestus: one utilizing high-tech, the other divine power.
Batman never trusted anyone, naturally including the visitors coming to tour the Hall of Justice.
Yet at this moment, the Justice League was nowhere to be found here.
A few days after the completion of the Hall of Justice, they faced the invasion of the Omega Four Gods.
The heroes had no choice but to embark on an unexpected cosmic journey, during which Brainiac's home planet was turned into cosmic dust.
At one point, things were looking grim, but in the end, the Justice League prevailed, enticing the creatures to attack each other before they could devour the earth.
The terrifying creatures were temporarily satiated by their companions' corpses, and they left.
The heroes enjoyed a brief respite.
But, last night, the Justice League's Watchtower detected unusual activity, and Batman assessed that Earth was facing yet another crisis, one perhaps even more serious than Barbatos's invasion.
Therefore, the heroes had to split up again and face it.
